This was my dream job for so long

I think toy doctors are so nice actually like i remember being a little heartbroken kid when one of my beloved stuffed animals got old and torn up and my mom just threw him out. And i know what it would have meant to me, to have someone lovingly stitch him back up instead so i could love him just a little longer. And I'm really glad there are little kids out there who get to see pictures of their stuffed animals and dolls with little fake hospital beds and casts as they "rest & heal" before returning to them good as new. Like what a sweet thing to do with your life.

Mystery trio except during the portal incident Stan is the one that gets a peek through the portal and completely shrinks into a ball in fear. So, unwelcome, Ford left, going straight to the summoning circle to demand Bill tell him who did this to his brother. He didn't expect Bill to laugh at that, going on about how feeble human minds were - all he had to do was make Stanley spend a few centuries trapped in an empty box with no one but a twisted version of Stanford and Stanley was so quiet and docile - perfectly behaved for Bill's plans. Ford said that was impossible, Bill said he could make neurons do a lot of things, in his domain where time didn't exist and meaning had no meaning.

When he went back to check on Stanley, he was sitting calmly on the livingroom armchair, Fiddleford with his memory gun at his side stood in front of him. "That feel better, darlin'?" He asked.

Stan nodded. Then he turned and saw Ford, and screamed.

Fiddleford raised the whirring gun again, and in a flash of light, Stan was quiet again. He looked at Ford with glazed-over eyes and didn't react while Fiddleford pet his hair and told him it would be alright

Ever since the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen came out, I‘ve been wondering who this woman is, that we see in Sukuna‘s final panels. So I decided to read a bit. (Maybe I‘m hella late and y‘all already know this stuff or it‘s already fully settled who this is idk I wasn‘t active until last week lol)

The woman appears to be a Miko, a type of priestess that works at shinto shrines. This source describes their duty as the following:

In general, Mikos remained virginal and unmarried for their entire lives. Until the late Heian period, mikos could be married to Yamabushi who belonged to the Shugendō religion. However, these were purely ritual-formal marriages that remained childless. (Wikipedia / Joseph Cali, John Dougill: Shintō Shrines)

Back to the Manga: some people assumed this woman must be Yorozu, since it‘s one of the persons who offered love to Sukuna. However, for me, there is no indication at all that Yorozu of all people, is a virgin, let alone a devoted priestess.

My personal first thought was, that this woman is Sukuna‘s mother. The only parent Sukuna ever mentioned is his mother. He also hinted at his childhood as well.

If we assume Sukuna‘s mother was a Miko, Sukuna‘s fate of being unwanted and at the brink of starvation would make sense, since Miko were expected to be childless.

So how could this have happened? As I mentioned above, until the Heian Period they were allowed to have ritual formal marriages with Yamabushi. They also were supposed to remain childless.

But who are the Yamabushi anyway? The followers of Shugendō performed magical-religious rituals and ascetic practices in the mountains with the aim of “becoming Buddha in this life” (sokushin-jōbutsu <<< Hah ring a bell?) and gaining supernatural abilities. These abilities are used for the benefit of the population, for example in the form of fortune-telling or to cure illnesses. (Wikipedia)

This sounds very Sukuna esque for me lol

Doesn‘t prove anything but I think it‘s interesting to mention.

ANYWAY

What if Suku‘s momma was married to one of the Yamabushi? What if they were just… human and did fell in love, putting their duty aside? Getting Suku‘s momma pregnant, and probably punishing her for it. Sukuna was unwanted after all, not only bcs of his appearance but bcs of the circumstances as well.

What‘s super interesting is, what is mentioned earlier, that up until the late Heian Period, Miko were primarily young girls from noble families. So Sukuna being the abomination that he is being born into the forbidden circumstances AND disgracing his mother and her family. Yea… unwanted little wretch.

However.

Maybe none of this is true and the Miko woman is just a symbol for the religious path he could have followed.

Who knows?

My older brother was born with one eye. He has a fake one that he puts in a cup on the bathroom sink counter every night. When he was younger he would casually bring up his fake eye to people, pop it out to show them, and then laugh at their shock/surprise every time. I have seen him take it out, rub it clean on his shirt, and then pop it back in so many times over the years.

I've known about his eye my entire 29 years on this planet and, honest to god, there are still times where I completely forget that he only has ONE FUNCTIONING EYEBALL.

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

Bayverse Megatron x Optimus would be way more funny if they got into Political marriage and both can't stand each other that they always try to kill each other in their sleep, while also making everyone uncomfortable with their own way of PDA... Oh, and Sentinel Prime is dead, so they are now playing detective with it, but they can't trust each other easily cause unreliable narrator shtick they're about to pull on each other also... Optimus knows who did it but doesn't have enough proof, just giving Megs a side eye and Megatron knows who did it, but pretends to act like he didn't know who did it. (It was Megatron who did it)

The same was said of Inquisition, I remember it very well. The funny thing about this is that The Veilguard is actually pretty dark, darker than DAI, everything going on in DAV is bleak af. There's even a scene with animal torture.

Not being able to play as an arse who's mean to everyone and goes around throwing punches is not the same as lacking dark&mature themes. Also Dragon Age's core identity is found family of queer folks making terrible puns, some people missed that memo.
