When I think about the void its literally nothing coz as creators we made it why do you think you know about it oh It must be coincidence nah hell nah you are the creator. Still refusing to reread PJO/TKC but it is still infesting my brain so woe crossover au be upon yall

Au where Anubis casually gets assigned to be Bianca's and Nico's older brother, anyone?

(messy points below, mostly from Anubis' pov coz he is my pookie, and keep an eye out in the reblogs section for add-ons/updates!)

Like, once the other Egyptian gods start dropping like flies because the magicians are imprisoning them, assuming they may also go after Anubis, he turns to Hades as a very very very last resort because, well, he would like to not be imprisoned for all eternity, thank you very much. Hades agrees on the condition that Anubis looks after his demigods, since he otherwise really isn't to any use of him, which Anubis accepts. So, Anubis is basically the Hades/Pluto demigods' divine babysitter in exchange for some protection from the magicians who may or may not also want to imprison him.

I shall say that this either works bc A) Hades kids radiate enough death so that he can be around them without a host or B) it is all just bureaucracy so when the rest of the Egyptian gods are gone those rules simply do not really apply.

Anyways, once the Big Three ProphecyTM rolls around and Maria Di Angelo kicks the bucket, Anubis is left in charge of making sure the Di Angelo siblings survive, taking them to and staying with them at the Lotus Casino and the different schools that Hades moves them around to, either as their "older brother"/guardian or as their pet dog that the authorities simply don't bat an eye at.

The siblings, with their memories absolutely fucked up, simply accepts that they either have a brother, a dog, an older brother who is occasionally a dog, or a dog that only conveniently shows up when their brother isn't there and vice versa.

And since I haven't read any RR books since I was 12 and I never read the HOO series, I can't really talk much about the logistics from here on out but. I have some thoughts in general.

Anubis makes sure that he takes the majority of the responsibilities, so that Bianca can be a little more happy and a little less stressed than she would have been if she was alone looking after her little brother.

He also happily distracts Nico when Bianca needs a break, he can genuinely listen to Nico ramble about whatever for hours, remembers it quite well and can return the conversation, which Bianca rarely has energy for.

(He was the exact same when he was young and wants to make sure Nico has someone that listens to him)

Genuinely cannot rest until he makes sure the siblings are fine and safe, which becomes a bit of a problem when Bianca goes on her first and last quest, and even more of a problem when he is more stuck in the Brooklyn House and he has to keep contacting Nico before he allows himself or Walt to rest as a result of that.

He is so so so so SO protective of the siblings. He is absolutely ready to die or kill for them. He is not a fighter, more often than not a pacifist, but when it comes to them he is the first to throw hands.

Also him absolutely being ready to kill the demigods that find the siblings at the military school coz he is so used to the "any demigod or magician is here to kill one of us and I have to protect them at all costs" mode that he has been kinda stuck in for the last 70 or so years, minimum.

He is merely an older sibling running on the equivalent of 3 hours of sleep and 2 strong coffees, which really doesn't help the situation once shit starts going down in Brooklyn/the Egyptian pantheon.

Speaking of the Brooklyn House. After being a Divine BabysitterTM for like 2000 years he genuinely cannot get rid of those base instincts, which ends up with him fussing over the Kanes/Walt/Zia and the rest of the initiates because those are CHILDREN and they need to REST and be SAFE and EAT PROPERLY and TAKE YOUR DAMN VITAMINES, WALT.

Because of those 2000 years of babysitting, Anubis is genuinely amazing with kids. You'd think they'd be scared by him, but no. He is the first one they run to when they scraped their knee and need a band aid and a hug.

He also 100% stares right into Percy's and Will's souls the moment he finds out Nico has/had crushes on them. Despite being raised in an entirely different time he definitely is a "no dating until you are at least 25 otherwise I might have a heart attack" sibling and he is not letting some random demigod break his lil brother's heart. He accepts Will well enough though coz he makes Nico laugh which in the end is the most important thing.

Will might actually be more intimidated by Anubis than Hades but that doesn't stop him. Nico is his babygirl and he knows Anubis is (probably) more bark than bite (most of the time).

No matter if Hades allows him to like. stop being a babysitter once the gods are restored and Ma'at is balanced and all, Anubis still sticks around and checks in on Nico (and eventually Hazel). He gets antsy if he hasn't heard from them at least once a day.

He probably has a good base relationship with Jason and Reyna (bc both are protective older siblings when it comes to Nico) but he keeps Percy at a distance ever since Bianca's death (not that he blames him). But he isn't particularly close to any of them, as his priorities lay with Nico, Hazel, and the Brooklyn House.

Assuming Anubis doesn't like. Introduce himself to the greeks as "Anubis" and instead says he is someone else, I have absolutely no idea when or if he would ever tell any of the greek demigods what he truly is. But I suppose Nico would eventually find out that his older brother actually isn't related to him at all, or even from the greek pantheon, and instead only happened to become his older brother as a favour to Hades. Depending on how he finds out he definitely could get upset but I like to believe he sorta figures eventually, and is just happy Anubis genuinely cares for him.

I also like to think that the greek gods they meet when the demigods take the siblings from the school to camp half-blood, just gives Anubis A LookTM. Either they are fully aware he is protecting the Hades kids or they think an Egyptian god is just casually hanging out with some random demigods. Which must certainly be a sight to behold.

Can yall for a moment imagine being the Kane siblings, trying to get the feather of truth from the god of death to avoid the impending apocalypse, who then says "sorry I am mostly on babysitting duty so I can't really help yall more than this, good luck tho."

Walt who meets Nico and is so conflicted because in one way he is slightly weirded out by this tiny depressed gremlin, but in another way the Anubis PartTM of him is just going "protect protect protect protect", which is a weird first impression.

One of the Kane siblings would be interested in Mythomagic, I just know it. Either Sadie coz it is funky or Carter bc it is nerdy. Either way, Nico has at least one Kane to bond with bc of it.

Nico just has the ultimate diplomatic immunity because he can go between Camp Half-blood, Camp Jupiter, and the Brooklyn House basically as he pleases.

On a completely different topic, the majority of Nico's wardrobe is just shit he has stolen from Anubis, he just lets it happen, in part because it is not like he as a god has a limited wardrobe, and in part bc Nico is absolutely adorable when he drowns in Anubis' jackets bc they are too big for him.

Also, Anubis helping Nico train his death magic, and teaching him the easiest ways to build endurance while using it.

Frankly the thought of the rest of the gods being banished, imprisoned, in exile or attempting to free themselves while Anubis is playing babysitter is very funny to me in general. Imagine being Isis or Osiris and attempting to ask your nephew/son what he did during the 2000 years yall were imprisoned and he goes "I took a side job as a babysitter to pay the bills".

Okay, the overrated void community here. So as I always say, void isn't difficult. It's easy as fuck and you always enter it while you fall asleep. Only thing you gotta do is be AWARE in the void.

Well that's where everyone over complicates it. Just become AWARE. Ik it's instant for some people, while some take patience, practice and consistency to enter the void.

Well this applies for the people who take action (action in the sense changing the story they focus on), discipline themselves and do whatever consistently.

And not to the people who know all the info and still choose to complain or procrastinate. Well I don't blame you for being this way, since you're programmed to be this way since childhood, and it's not your fault. But, it's your fault if you know it, and don't program it the way you want it to be.

TIP NO. 1

SELF CONCEPT

Read COPY OF ROTTEN'S PRACTICAL GUIDE TO SHIFTING REALITIES

Here's, she explains very well of the infamous FOCUS 10 STATE, which is nothing but MIND AWAKE, BODY ASLEEP state. Try using Monroe's gateway tapes, she's linked it in the guide herself. Follow her instructions. It's really good to use it at the night time especially. But don't use it if you're really tired that you fall asleep when you hit your head at the pillow. Use it when you're more relaxed and not tired.

Use it till you effortlessly enter the focus 10. Again don't ask me 'hOw LoNg Do YoU tHiNk It TaKeS?' Tf?? Like literally, people don't understand the meaning of living in the end??? Like fulfill it this moment and fucking let go. For some people, because of their mindset might get into focus 10 in one listen or one try. Others may get it in a week, in a month, and longer. So have patience. Have some self discipline, and maintain consistency. It's like practicing to play piano. You won't get how to play it in one try, you'll practice it everyday until you get it. The same concept. Get your lazy ass up and go do it. Practice this now, for an eternity of bliss.

Like you know how useful this focus 10 is?? Like you can shift realities, get into the void, manifest whatever the fuck you want and so on. It's literally wonderful.

When you can get into focus 10 effortlessly, you can go to advanced focus 10 tape. There's proper instructions in the guide. Get your lazy complaining ass go through the guide once (compulsorily!) since she's mentioned many things you never know you needed.

After you practice with these gateway tapes, and you're perfectly in a state where you can get that BODY ASLEEP MIND AWAKE state, you're good to enter the void with this state!

Me and fellas were discussing dif AU possibilities, and somehow "Nikolai babysitting Nemesis before Jill" became obligatory point for any option😅 At least for me. As always it started as a meme and then went wild, and I consider it hella hillarious. And smexy

I can't say it's some solid and thoughtful plot, just a "written in canon" (at least till RE5) with a bunch of situations to let the Tyrants flex. And even if some topics are treated seriously, it's all for the sake of fanservice. I also alterate stuff to explore diff situations, so don't expect me to follow single story all the time or somethin :D

Comin back to the pic, Nik and Nem had to work for some time (~2yrs) for unnamed organization postRE3. They both weren't enthusiastic at first, but in the end it was nicey (amount of 'nicey' depends on my mood in the morning xD)

And yes, anon, of course we always get what we want. And we shall continue to get what we want. We don't predict, we just talk about what we expect Jikook to do or to have done because they are a couple. When those things come to fruition, then yeah, we end up getting what we wanted because of course we do. Couples are predictable. Jikook are a couple and so they do couple things. That's why is seems like we are always right.

We don't explore other options because we didn't come to the decision to support Jikook as a couple lightly. I personally looked and studied all of Jimin ships before concluding him and JK were it. So no, there is no more exploring. We believe what we believe and are quite comfortable with our decision. If you get frustrated that we refuse to be shaken, thats on you.

Types of book titles:

Bought to you by: me trying to figure out a title for my wips and analysing a few existing ones to give me ideas

1. The character name

Easy and efficient. Percy Jackson. Dracula. Septimus Heap. Coraline. Naruto. You get it. Titles like "Name + and + something"/"Name + name" also apply, like Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard or Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

2. Important element to the story

Pretty practical too, gives an idea of what you are talking about. The Locked Tomb (i think? I haven't read it). Star Wars. Etc.

3. Cool title for your character

This one is rlly cool I think. Similar to #1 but here we are giving our main character a sick title that may or may not be included in the story itself. The Death's Heir. The Lord of the Rings (i think. I haven't read lord of the rings). The Red Queen. And so on. Also alludes to your premise and is pretty catchy.

4. Euphemism or metaphor

Similar to #2 but if telling what your story is all about doesn't sound very good directly so we make an euphemism. Let's say your premise is "we killing the evil queen". That doesn't sound very good as a title perhaps so let's euphemism it. "Fall of the Crown" sounds better, BUT if we want we can push it a little more. "The Last Jewel" may be a bit exagerated but if you can title drop that somewhere in your story its good. Making your euphemism reference something that is already in the book also works better for your euphemism.

Examples are like, Red White and Royal Blue (euphemism for the US and the UK and a prince���by referencing the royal and the flag colors—which about sums it up) and Court of Thorns and Roses (metaphor for the whole fae thing and all the conflicts + references the whole nature and spring thing which are reocurring elements)

5. Literally the plot

Around the world in 80 days. Journey to the center of earth. You know the kind. Flourish a bit if you need to, these also work pretty well if you can pull them off.

6. "The song/chronicles/requiem/adventures/tale of (whatever)"

These are generally reserved for fantasy, I think? Either way they are pretty cool. The Song of Achilles. The Kane Chronicles. The Chronicles of Narnia. A Song of Ice and Fire. They aren't very illustrative but they just sound cool.

Examples from here on Tumblr stories:

#1: Kai and Kyriel (the protagonist and the antagonist) or Alex & Friends (you get it)

#2: Starcross (the spaceship the main characters are the crew of) or The Safehouse (the shelter the story takes place in!)

#3: The Ghost of Seattle (the guy is called "the ghost" coz he is sneaky and misterious and the story is in seattle so)

#4: (ok idk any)

#5: Aros Against Fate (the main characters are aromantic and the themes of the story revolve around carving your own path despiste what has been decided for you, be it by the gods or by your parents)

#6: The Paladin Series (the main villain is called Paladin and yea you get it)

Examples from anime too since we're at it:

#1: Naruto (you know him)

#2: Magi (a very rare type of magician with a bit of mistery ab their origin that surrounds the shows)

#3: Tokyo Revengers

#4: Pandora Hearts (i guess?)

#5: I reincarnated as a slime/with a smartphone/as the seventh prince (all those isekai tbh)

#6: The Adventures of Sinbad

#???: DanDaDan

(anime in general goes by a few different rules actually nevermind)

cbs watson really is fascinating as a case study coz like, holmes and watson are so essential to each other that i think any adaptation that doesn't get their relationship is doomed to be bad, let alone one that doesn't have one of them in it (unless it's specifically about that absence which can be interesting, albeit miserable, to watch), but it is possible to make something that has holmes and doesn't have watson. like you can kinda do anything with sherlock holmes because he's an extremely recognisable figure who can be stretched and transformed any way you like and even if he's not even remotely book accurate, as long as you give him a name that vaguely resembles "sherlock holmes" everyone will get who they're dealing with. you CAN make an adaptation without watson. i mean you shouldn't but you can. but does that apply to watson as well?

(mini essay under the cut this got away from me. and for the record i am NOT complaining i'm just thinking. pondering even)

like you can move holmes out of england to america, change his name, job, appearance, personality, etc etc but literally all you need is his last name's initial and him being good at figuring things out and everyone will understand that gregory house is sherlock holmes because he's such an iconic character. but what about our less often described pov character, watson? what makes him himself?

obviously their lives centre around each other the same amount and again *i* think it's essential to have both of them but what is watson without holmes? i mean there's a reason the original stories skip the time between the final problem and the empty house because what is there to say really. he's just this sad shell of a man til he gets his friend back. but in all other aspects he's still dr john watson. so what about here? he's been taken from his era and put in the modern day, removed from his home in london and placed in america, isn't disabled from the war (unless they're gonna touch on that later?), isn't a journalist, and ofc doesn't have holmes... so what's left? is there anything else to john watson that cbs can use to make the audience really feel that they're watching watson and not just a nice smart doctor who has the same name as him?

i'm just ruminating, i don't have the answers but i do think it's gonna be very interesting to see if and how the show will try to make itself feel more like a holmes adaptation even without the era, the country or, y'know, the holmes. i do think the insane amount of references to the original canon are one of the main ways of doing that but i also think that while that's fun, it should not be the only thing they have because the cynical part of me keeps thinking that if they're gonna change everything about the character, why even call him watson other than brand recognition and the knowledge that being a holmes adaptation instead of Generic Medical Drama inherently has a higher chance of success?

in any case i'm very glad to have a new holmes adaptation and even more glad that it's something i get to think about, excited to see what's coming

hi, im sorry for bothering u right now. ive been asking around for advice everywhere because i really need all the help i could use right now. my anxiety is flaring up like crazy because my results come out tomorrow and im so scared because if i mess this up then my future is ruined. my mental health has been horrible and that has severely affected my grades but in most asian countries they dgaf about that and basically think it's nonexistant for minors so ofc i'm still undiagnosed, and if i were to apply to a uni i wouldnt get any good chances anywhere. if i could just get 3 Bs in my AS levels it would be okay or else i'd have to retake it and it's super costly here.. i don't wanna put my family through that because they'll talk me down, degrade me, destroy my self esteem which i've managed to build back a little. they were like this since when i was the topper and thats what made me burnout. undiagnosed adhd, trauma, depression also contributed to it

im applying the law, but instead of the feeling of success that everyone else gets i feel panicked. the 'feeling' people usually get when they're in the wish fulfilled state, the feeling of accepting it and it being real—im not getting that. i dont see a clear picture when i visualize. every time i try to, i end up breaking down and feeling like a failure... but I'm still trying to go on because why is it that the people who hurt me and practically ruined my life get to live successfully, while i suffer? thats not fair... i promised myself that if i could just get 3 Bs, ill turn my life around and work really hard... but is it over for me? i want to win, im trying to, but im scared

I get you, I really do but trust me when I say this.

THIS SHIT IS REAL AF. Manifestation is real af. It's as real as the fact that you are a human being. All you have to do is trust yourself that it is already done. If good results is what you want then that is exactly what you'll get. You need to choose to stop having doubts because it is already done. That is the simplest answer I can give you. Persist on what you want.

I am glad to tell you this but I just got test results for a major exam held in my uni today and I got into the 95th percentile just by saying to myself that my super power is aptitude tests and that I already scored great. In my friends group only 3 of us were eligible and I have 70+ more marks then them as well. If I can do it, you can do it. You need to stop doubting yourself. Atleast stop doubting manifestation. Cause at this point you're only gonna manifest your doubts.

I'll give you a scenario - If you're worried about getting bad grades, Trust me when I say this you're gonna manifest exactly that coz you will manifest exactly what you assume. You can choose to stop that right here, RN. Choose to accept that you got great marks. I mean don't even like aim for B's go for A's. I don't care even if you left the paper blank coz if you assume you're the topper, that is exactly what's gonna happen.

I had a bit of a "hang in a minute..." thought when going through my 5*memory cards the other day. I started playing the last day of the drunk MC/Zayne and MC/sniffy sniff Rafayel event (I lucked out and got both, but not Xavier's) and it made me think that MC and Zayne have definitely bumped uglies (the business trip card is HELLO 👀) Whereas Raffy and Xavier are merely hinting at maybe, possibly doing the do.

There is another Zayne card that heavily suggests they banged, but I've been asleep since then and can't remember what card.

What do you think?

I’ve gotten most cards in the game despite being F2P… except for the V-day cards🥲 But here’s my interpretation of this!

Like in the company’s previous game MLQC, the dates with the boys are scattered across different points in their timeline with MC.

For example, Business Trip Date is 100% after they’ve been long dating. After all, Zayne always strikes me as a particularly cautious person and definitely waited a long time to have sex with MC, due to the fact that he’s too worried about Astra’s curse to truly give in to his desires. Also the fact that he probably follows a “well-mannered” agenda to a T: ask them out on a date, kiss their cheek, kiss their lips, make out with them, sleep together, and so on. He’s also just naturally more reserved despite having a heart of gold, and so he’s probably careful with his own emotions, especially since he’s canonically had zero experience before MC. However, in other dates, like the almost-kiss one (forgot its name) you can see that it’s still in that awkward, early phase in the relationship where he’s holding back a lot of his feelings and it often backfires because it comes off as him being standoffish (Zayne is literally just me but in a different font😭😭). So currently? They’re not even dating. A little fast forward? Dating, but kinda shy. Massive fast forward? Sleeping together and teasing each other.

As for Rafayel and Xavier, the same also applies!! They’ve both respectively slept with MC and it’s heavily implied in the same way Zayne’s was. It’s only a matter of WHEN exactly that happened, since the dates are also all over the timeline.

Rafayel’s V-day card was lovely, but it certainly implies that he’s gotten more confident about being more risqué around MC. Despite appearances, he’s incredibly shy and embarrassed about intimacy at the start even though he deeply craves it, and that’s simply because of the way he grew up (being told you’re to be a refined God can’t have been too easy on him) and because of the fact that this is his first lifetime where he gets to be with MC without the constant threat of them being taken away from him. Being an artist also heightens his passion and his ability to tap into his well of feelings, so he can’t help the fact that he constantly desires to be with MC, and that translates into the natural progression of physical intimacy as he knows it. However, in the early days, he’s extremely careful about not toeing the line even when sharing a bed.

As for Xavier… whew. He’s just about the most forward, sneakiest one of the bunch, and I love the fact that it contrasts his endearing earnestness so much. Like, yes, he would absolutely burn the world to protect MC’s smile (he’s a little morally grey, after all, he just reins it in for their sake) but he’s just so so eager to pull the most sinful sounds from them in the name of his all-consuming adoration. The most recent card (the one with the gym clothes) makes it obvious that he’s more than willing to take the first step in their relationship, but it’s just a matter of him waiting for the MC to reciprocate. He’s careful, but makes his intentions VERY clear. During the V-day event, he’s easily the boldest out of the 3. It’s clear this is much later in their relationship, because he literally promises to keep them up all night (!!!) and is certainly okay with having them feel him up and act coy while he presses kisses to their body. On the other hand, in that one card with the Pocky game, they’re still at the stage in the relationship in which he can tease them and fluster them so easily by just surprising them with a kiss. So it’s pretty early on, I’d say.

Coming from the MLQC fandom, the messed up timeline doesn’t bother me, because I know that this is because in-game it hasn’t been long since they first “met” and the game hasn’t been released for long either. It makes sense that during dates, they wouldn’t be in a relationship yet. But since it’s an otome game, they have to feed the fans a little with indulgent dates set in the future to encourage fans to keep investing in the game and stay interested until they actually do start dating in the timeline (eg: 2 years later, maybe). And after that good long while, they’ll only keep pushing out dates where they’re already dating, and things slowly get more and more domestic. So it’s a game of patience!!

This turned out to be a massive rambling post, sorry😭😭 I’m pretty unhealthily obsessed with this game (as I was with MLQC years ago, honestly) so I love spinning my own interpretations of the lore and characters.

SYMPTOMS

one of the symptoms is “You continue to engage in sexual behaviors in spite of them causing serious problems. These could include the possibility of getting or giving someone else a sexually transmitted infection, the loss of important relationships, trouble at work, financial issues, or legal problems.”

Wade said that he’s had heaps of stds which could be him joking but could also be him being serious and so this could apply to him.

another symptom is “You've tried without success to reduce or control your sexual fantasies, urges or behavior.”

I don’t think he’s tried per say, but this could easily relate to how he blurts out stuff in a joking way and could also relate to him having adhd because he doesn’t know whens appropriate to blurt out things.

Another symptom is “You have trouble making and keeping healthy and stable relationships.”

Now this can also relate to him just being fucked in the head but also it counts for him and wolverine said it best in how he can only keep a relationship with a stripper (which isn’t bad but its what he said).

The last symptom that I think really suits him is this one. “You use compulsive sexual behavior as an escape from other problems, such as loneliness, depression, anxiety or stress.”

He’s always making jokes involving sex and if these weren’t movies that can’t be filled with sex, he’d probably be having a fair bit. He’s shown to be lonely at numerous points and thats hes depressed because he can’t be good enough or handsome enough for anyone.

CAUSES

“An imbalance of natural brain chemicals. Certain chemicals in your brain called neurotransmitters — such as serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine — help control your mood. When these are out of balance, your sexual desire and behavior could be affected.”

This can also be related to him having ADHD and i think its a cause that makes a lot of sense for him. He can’t think of ways to get those chemicals and so his brain just goes to sex.

“Also, the risk of compulsive sexual behavior may be higher in people who have problems with alcohol or drug use, another mental health condition, such as depression, anxiety or a gambling addiction, Family conflicts or family members with problems such as addiction or a history of physical or sexual abuse.”

There’s also this. He’s been shown to have a problem with drug use though its not shown to be severe but that could affect it. Him being depressed and seeking out ways to feel less depressed could also be a factor. Family conflicts hasn’t been that evident in his backstory though I recall seeing somewhere that his parents weren’t the best so that could factor in as well.

Now here’s the bit that gives the most evidence. He mentions scoutmaster kevin once or twice and most of what he says implies that he was committing sa with him or was at least doing public indecency. If wade has a history with child sa, him being hypersexual does become more likely. It also becomes more of a coping method for him then a problem he can’t fully control.

also related health conditions are adhd, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, psychological trauma and ocd and he probably ticks the adhd box, substance abuse box, psychological trauma and maybe even bipolar.

I think thats most of the stuff so yeah, this probably doesn’t make much sense but I dunno.

JM showing up in a Tae live is not the same as Tae insisting on joining a show that JM and JK already planned and started to execute - with all investors, logictics, finance approvals and other arrangements planned out.

I don't know what's the issue here. If JM sent an invite to all in the group, then maybe Tae should have let him know he wants to join too. And that also rules out Tae's claims of "being hurt coz JM didn't invite". Coz JM did invite, based off that.

Jimin mentioned him and Tae hadn't met or spoken in a while. But JK was hanging out with Tae a lot, wasn't he? Then why didn't JK invite him? Tae has a habit of always throwing JM under the bus. And I can see why JM is wary of him.

All I am seeing on twitter, tiktok, YT and every other platform these past days is tkkrs and KTH solos hating on JM (and wishing him worst and d3ath) for "hurting Tae". Tired of them always throwing JM to the wolfs.

The basic underlying principle here is the same and it is that they are All entitled to spend QUALITY TIME ALONE with whomever they choose whether it is alone on a live, alone in the back of a track, alone on a couch surrounded by other members or on an expensive trip somewhere.

You can not dictate for them which medium they should use, the resources they should invest in or the effort that must go into it. You are dead wrong if you believe that.

Even if Jikook had decided not to go on a trip but to spend those moments with their fans alone on live in the trunk of their car Tae would still be dead wrong if he inserted himself against their will.

However the fact Jimin himself explained that Tae was busy with promotions so they didn't invite him also raises question mark. It's okay to admit we don't know all the fact and we may need further clarification of it from both of them.

Because it would have been easy for Jimin to say, well we didn't invite everyone individually we posted to the group and everyone responded but you.

And then Tae would have had to explain why he didn't check his messages in which case him being busy with schedule would have made so much sense.

But let's refrain from invalidating his feelings they are as valid as your opinion.

Referencing a little to your latest IllidanxKhadgar post - I always personally considered Illidan to be (not so) hidden romantic. He kept the flower he got for Tyrande for thousands of years, in Hearthstone his campaigning (the Ashes of Outland) is the only one told in rhymes and damn does he deliver the rhymes with a grace, his goodbyes to Tyrande and Malfurion in Legion were also very poetic. He is rough and feral as a demon, but I think that deep inside he still likes romantic stuff and to be poetic. At some point in his relationship with Khadgar it could resurface, don't you think?

I 100% think so! Maybe I haven't said it directly in the main post, but Illidan is definetely a romantic person. I also wanted to point something about Tyrande, but the post became so large, so I will say it here!

I think being romantic and poetic is a big part of nelves' culture (and their men probably do this even more xD). You can tell Illidan is arrogant person, but I think it's mostly caused by the others who always told him he's going to have a Great Fate (tm). He was always surrounded by attention, and Tyrande not giving him attention he wanted made Illidan to use strange and dangerous ways to show off and also demonstrate he can do better than Malfurion. It felt toxic, but I think if Tyrande said yes, he would show his romantic side for sure. He just thought anyone can go lovey-dovey, but how about doing [put some dumb Illidan's decision here]? 😂

I think that even in isolation he kept his love for Tyrande, but with years it became even more twisted. He, maybe, still expected something, but then he became a demon. You can say whatever about Illidan's control, but I think this amount of Chaos magic changes your mind, and not in a best way. I think sometimes Illidan had moments of hating the feeling of love, and hating himself for such a "weakness", and his first demonic years went really hard in terms of his very personal and deep emotions. Tyrande was far away now, only enemies and possible betrayers around. Illidan almost forgot what a love is, only before his death having a lil glimpse of Tyrande.

Just pointing separately: I don't mind other ships and chars being in one relationships before other, but speaking seriously I don't see Illidan having a romance in his Outland arc. At least something deep and involved. That's what I meant by saying "Illidan knows zero shit about romance" before - he knows of course how it works, he feels it, he is aware of possible ways to act, but he never had it applied to a person directly, and through the years he almost forgot what he once wanted from being close with someone. Not like he is completely stupid :"D

When resurrected, Illidan had some things reconsidered. What he feels now towards Tyrande is more like a... devotion? He accepted the fact they won't be lovers - and moreover, the people who they've became don't even need it. But he still kept an image of her in his mind, ready to help her anytime she is in trouble and willing to protect her world, the one which rejected him. (Isn't this also romantic? ;D)

So Illidan decided his love story is over, and then Khadgar happened. You finally closed the door you kept opened for a while, and then someone knocks. (ILLIDAN WASN'T PREPARED) Illidan puts a warning, coz he literally loved one woman all his life, and there is man, of another race (maybe Illidan isn't against it, but he's kinda old-fashioned xD). Coz he's still a demon and even with hella amount of control his mind does tricks sometimes. Coz a grown man possibly have some expectations, and Illidan don't know(remember) what he wants. Coz there is a FKIN WAR, are you even sane??? Many reasons. But Illidan is curious.

Well, he can start with being arrogant. He knows how it works xD At beginning it was Khadgar who mostly was initiator. But from what he did, Illidan could tell he enjoys it. And wants to give back. I think it took some time to discover, because they're in a fkin crowded camp and always busy, they literally had so little time to spend alone 😭

Illidan is also def a 'speaking' type, he prefers compliments and flirt to physical signs of affection (it's hard to do a lil touch when you're tall spiked demon and have a lot of attention 🙃)

Hey Bpp! Heads up for incoming rant.

I have been army for 2 years now and this is my very first experience of being in a fandom. It’s extremely overwhelming at times. This fandom is way too emotional. While I strongly feel that what we see is genuine (excluding lives which I believe are totally genuine), it also seems very obviously strategic. They know the pulse of army and know what they would respond to. I feel played at times but that is also something I should work on personally. Sometimes I do feel like I was better of not getting so involved, just listening to their music and be on my way, not wait to hear how they are personally doing etc. I do know why I got so intensely invested in BTS, especially Jimin, coz I was a 33 yo woman living alone away from friends and family and they filled a void I didn’t realize there was, and Jimin is a source of great comfort and calmness to me. But it’s a struggle to keep emotions out of it and just appreciate them as artists. They are not my friends or family, we would never meet or cross paths, but I find myself thinking and worrying about them. I wish I can reprogram my mind to be a bit detached emotionally, but maybes that will come with time.

I applaud your efforts to be a voice of reason among the overly emotional folks or extreme fanatics. Thanks for everything you do.

I'm not actually trying to be a voice of reason. Just FYI. I'm not trying to persuade or convince anyone here.

My thing is, my entry into k-pop was more incidental/benign so I didn't 'fall down the rabbit hole' the way most people do these days, but I have seen most people get into the genre via that way and after a while, after seeing this happen over and over for almost 20 years, it's become clear to me that there's a very predictable pattern for what people become after they enter fandom. People who become OT7 were always going to be that, same with akgaes, and it has nothing to do with Jimin, Jung Kook, how the fandom treats either of them, or HYBE (BigHit)... though these people would swear some external force is the reason they were once jikookers but no longer are. They might believe the reasons they give, but based on the sorts of questions someone asks, the sorts of things they fixate on, I can predict 9 times out of 10 what they are, and it's only a matter of time before they confirm it.

In your case Anon, I enjoyed reading your ask but I suggest you go with your gut. Take very frequent breaks from this space.. This doesn't necessarily apply to you but some people shouldn't be in k-pop fandoms; just as it's fine for some people to drink but for a subset of people it can become a fatal weakness, and just as some people can use cannabis recreationally but for a subset of people it becomes a destructive dependency/addiction. You already have the right idea in rationing your k-pop fandom exposure. Most of the people here, really shouldn't be. I hope you find a balance that works for you soon.

7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

You know I just realized I missed the "explain why" portion when I answered 8 before, whoops.

Also this is such a hard question because there's uh. A lot of prose to consider, but my favorite bits are almost always when I land on a good/fun descriptive turn of phrase like: He held himself taut as an over-tuned guitar string, jaw clenched, the shadows under his eyes speaking of too little sleep. or The class scattered like a pool break or Izuku honked into Hizashi's shoulder like a mortified goose.

Those examples are all from Mobius, and just a few I could remember off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more/better.

If we're talking about a longer snippet, hm. It's kind of embarrassing to admit that I have such a terrible memory for my own stuff but here we are. Although! I was very proud of the opening chapter of Kintsugi in general (and credit where it's due, the emotional gut-punch of Izuku and Shouta dying together was all @scratchxiii, my contribution was just in the execution), but I do like the opening in particular:

The end of the world crept up on them by inches, the retreating tide a sign they had refused to heed until the tsunami crashed over them with terrible, shattering force.

Poetic bullshit, but there was something about the visual that Shouta couldn't shake. Hubris, maybe. In the face of the sea, in the face of the enemy, in the face of the end. Could also just be the sleep deprivation and the adrenaline making him fucking loopy. He slapped the C4 against the wall, checking the detonator. Or maybe he was feeling philosophical because they were about to blow themselves to kingdom come.

If everything went well, at least. It's a little more poetic than I usually am, which was fun. My prose is generally pretty straightforward, so I don't get the opportunity much. It also feels like a solid opening, establishing quickly that things are fucked, with the added punch of the characters being in a situation where death was the preferred outcome. I dunno, I just really liked it! 23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?

Okay so this question doesn't really apply to my current crop of stories, because the oldest thing I have is only... three years old maybe. So! We will talk of the Before Times. I've been writing fanfic for ages, so I've got a looooong trail of fics behind me on accounts I no longer use. I think the only answer here is one of my old FMA fics, which I will not name because I don't want to embarrass myself, because I wrote it when I was 19 and while it holds up pretty well, it's def not up to my current standards. It's a RoyEd fic (moment of silence for my long affair with problematique ships lmao), and aside from my BNHA stuff it's the most popular fic I've ever written. It was the first long fic I completed, and I was SO proud of myself, so it would be awesome to see it updated. Although it would probably be a wholesale rewrite instead of a revision. Realistically though if I ever went back to the ship, I'd probably write some of the ideas I never got to instead.

Let's look at what her actual studying seems to be in the movie.

We see her reading notes, surrounded by books in that iconic image that's always all over studyblr/pink academia blogs, but I think that one's just for the visuals- and, god do they work!

Here's what I think she's actually doing that works for her

Studying with friends: we see her being coached and quizzed by presumably another sorority sister during the initial montage for the LSATs We also see her spending time with Paulette as she reads through a textbook during the Watch Me Shine montage.

Make studying an ENJOYABLE experience: for Elle, as above, we see her getting her hair done with Paulette, or sitting at her sorority's dining room table with pink candles lit. Her admissions essay video is also about how she applies the subject to her daily life, such as shopping or lazing in the pool with her friends. Sometimes you have to elbows-down grind, but sometimes its worthwhile to get as much fun out of studying as possible Elle pairs her workout with her studying too as seen in Watch Me Shine too.

CELEBRATE YOUR WINS! Sure, Elle had to miss a few parties, but she also gets a huge one thrown for her to celebrate the 179!

That's how you stay motivated to study too- make it something worth doing, make it feel like a rewarding experience. Get a group together with friends, and remember how worth it it'll be when you win!
