For me I went in to bsd recently and i read the manga first. Initially I saw that popular audio for dazai and wanted to know this goofy character. ngl i was suprised that he was not the main character cause i saw him so much. I didn't even know autushi exsisted until i started the manga. When I was reading I got to see more fandom content too. I didn't get the hype on chuuya like he appeared soooo little that it is honestly sad cause i really liked the rescue Q from guild fight and chuuya is really good looking (but everyone in bsd is so i didn't get it) only when i watched the anime and there was the the backstory on sheep I became a chuuya stan. i think i am rambling on about the wrong think honestly my bad if i am not helpful and you wasted your time reading this but i mainly viewed all as platonic until i saw the fandom but I do love the dynamic and tension between dazai chuuya and the humor and trust between kundika and dazai it just never pop into my head that it's romantic for both so i really have no idea what i am trying to say i hope you understand😭

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: I'm not a big anime watcher so honestly it felt quite different to anything I'd ever seen before. It's very fast-paced and it wastes no time in getting to the action which hooked me immediately; there isn't really a moment that feels like filler or where the show stops to let you breathe. The characters are really unique and compelling, and I got SO attached to L on my first watch that I genuinely felt like I was grieving a real person and had to stop watching for a week after Episode 25 😭 not to mention that there's a lot of unexplored depth to the characters & their relationships so the fanfic potential is insane!!

The character I love that everyone else hates: This is hard to answer because my fandom experience is very curated, so my dashboard is mostly an echo chamber of Mello & Near appreciation. Outside of my little bubble though, I assume there are still plenty of haters for the two of them

Also quick fast forward but I read in an interview with Monique I think that she had the idea of giving Taylor a Britney-inspired outfit for the last scene, and yeah it's a pretty nice touch! A mix between preppy but also showing her letting loose.

I didn't clock that outfit at all at first though because I'm used to seeing school uniform in my country asdjhsf

Anyway yeah it’s too sudden for Sharpay to suddenly be cool with everyone now, but I don’t really care because they had no idea how big this movie would become and that they’d get sequels so I get why they wrapped that up quickly.

Not a huge fan of taking her hat off though, I know it’s like this ooooh she’s letting loose moment but…. she had it on during Breaking Free when she’d just stood up to Sharpay and she was all energetic and confident during the performance, she’s all about her hats let her wear her hat! It comes off as the “oooooohhh this nerdy girl with questionable fashion sense is actually really beautiful if she just presents more conventionally!” trope

Hi!!! I was thinking about your writing. So like in your words, what makes Kenny The One for Kyle? Because they are typically the end goal and main pairing in your fics and obviously your favs, and I like how you portray the potential of them and I wonder what IS it about Kenny to you that makes Kyle go to "I love you"? Like why Kenny out of the others and the things Kyle could have? I am just curious and enjoy hearing about it because Kenny adoration is SO underrated in their relationship sometimes? I hope that makes sense! 😭

Kyle is a person who desperately needs support, empathy, and someone willing to listen to him be a neurotic nutcase. Someone who can walk the tightrope between sympathetic nodding and calling him out on his bullshit when he goes too far. That is Kenny. And that is what starts the infatuation. Sure, Kyle has his "oh no he's hot" moments that lead to him accepting that there's a crush, but the seeds were planted long before said moments while Kenny was being his soundingboard. Kenny would give sound advice from being a wise silent observer of the world and would offer philosophical insights that would have Kyle lying awake at night swimming in his simplistic but sagely prose.

And as he was able to vent to Kenny, he would return the favor, and Kenny would open up to him more than he would anyone else because Kyle understands the nature and the necessity of give-and-take. Ken would tell him his hopes and his dreams and his struggles and his triumphs and Kyle would be enthralled with both the notion of being the privileged few knowing this side of him and also just the fascination with the multitude of facets of Kenny's personality.

While Kyle himself is someone brimming with emotions, Ken is, too, and to the point where he would be infectious. He would be the best at pulling Kyle through the riptide of his own psyche with a perfectly timed innuendo or a suggestion for cheap chinese and an alley to break bottles and make out to get out some pent-up frustrations. Kenny would just understand Kyle better than anyone else and have a knack for calming his never-ending storms and making him a better person along the way. Kyle needs someone who understands him, someone willing to have patience and kindness while he grows and has a few inevitable stumbles along the way. Kenny has an emotional intelligence that few others do and Kyle would adore it and his coinciding big heart.

Let's be real, nothing swoons Kyle faster than someone doing the right thing and wearing their heart on their sleeve. Between Ken's treatment of Karen, his Mysterion persona, and his determination to just be something bigger than anyone expected considering his upbringing, no one in South Park is a better person than Kenny fucking McCormick. And no one knows that and revels in that glow more than Kyle.

ok so, i’m not so sure what’s underrated anymore bc i think i live in a bubble here widnsknd but i can list down the pairings i like that aren’t the main ones!! these are all platonic unless stated otherwise!

choso & yuuji: i love them omfg �� i know they’re fairly talked about but i love the brotherly bond between them so so much and i wish it was developed more 😭 (honestly yuuji can get along w anyone but i find him to be the perfect one to balance choso out 🥺)

maki & nobara: i know they’re talked about a fair bit too!! but i really wish we had more of them together 😭 would have been so badass for real ainsksjs they both have a lot of spunk to them & i’d love to see them go head to head with yuuji & megumi 😭 (whether platonic or not, i think they challenge eachother in the best way!!!)

shoko & utahime: i loooove seeing shoko and utahime friendship (or even not) in fics!!! and i know it’s kind of canon that utahime likes shoko the most out of the og trio but !! i wish they had more interactions now, older 🥺 honestly !! any interactions with the og’s now that they’re older 🥺 my heart rly just !!

megumi & maki: this is probably fairly rated but i love their interactions just bc they share the same angst towards their lineage 😭 and they’re really so badass together idk it’s so cool to watch

ijichi & yuuji: their dynamics are so cute 😭 it’s like a less talked about nanami & yuuji and i love it !! i wish there were more of them omg 😭 i think yuuji brings out the funloving side in anyone so when its ijichi + yuuji vs. nanami windkdnd that dynamic to me is just so funny jansjskdn

i’d love to see gojo and yuuta fight together!! also gojo and megumi (not against each other 🤧) tbh gojo fighting alongside anyone is cool bc he always fights alone 😭 if nanami and gojo ever fight together i would 🫠

(A) Anything x Adrian. I know he canonically gets b**thes. But I don't want him to ☹️ I like the guy, but I like him in the way you like a peer or coworker who is also low-key your enemy. You don't want bad things for them persay, but whenever you meet any of their partners you think "really? This guy? Surely you can do better"

Buuuut because that's sort of a non-answer, frickinnn Epsilon x The Discordant One. I simply do not vibe with Unwilling Sufferer of Religious Abuse x The God of the Religion that Traumatized them. If that's your thing, I'm not the fandom police, but I will worry quietly. Though I daresay the imagery does invoke some feelings that hit different. Don't care for it as a legitimate ship, but the dynamic is certainly compelling

17. Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen

(A) Less an actual flaw in the narrative as it's just my personal taste, but I really want to know how things would have gone differently if Kalayavan and Abram had grown up less at each other's throats and taken over their father's legacy together. Can you imagine how cooked Winter would be with two Maramas at the helm?

Granted, the ripple effect would be huge (no Maficule, no Uncle Mask to the Mafia young adults and kids, Avan's relationship with Asha could be effected and that as well as growing up in close proximity with their uncle likely would've changed how all the Marama kiddos turned out, the government and military force in Winter would be absolutely screwed so potentially no Orlando or Amilec and almost definitely not Aira, Umbris/Eclipse and Lunamera could've very well never fled to Summer so no Eclipse/Elec/Thorn trio, etc etc etc), so it's almost definitely too great a change to the story. But it still makes me wonder

If we mean unpopular as in less-known, motherfricking Saul. I love that guy. He is criminally underrated

(A) Warcrimelords, man. I did not FW the ship or understand how some people could possibly ship it, but the fandom's takes and memes are so funny 😭😭 Fanon Warcrimelords is soooo far removed from Phillip and Kalayavan in canon, but the fandom is so freaking funny about it
