I was hanging back and not super active because of a bunch of IRL stuff going on (moved provinces, employment struggle, wedding, changing medications) that kept me away, plus I've been quietly working on different modding projects that keep me busy. Also, my blog clean up is 90% done - if I've been following you for a while and you've gotten a recent re-follow from me, it was very likely because I mis-clicked while I was cleaning out bots or I got sides/mains mixed up, or I got confused about a name change 😞 I have the brain fog a lot of days you see and sometimes I don't catch on to changes right away 😞

What’s your OTP for your Muse(s)? I kind of have too many muses to answer this question. Assume canon (tm) because I'm pretty basic when it comes to that, with a few exceptions.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping? Within the realm of normal stuff (tm), I'm down to try anything! Within the realm of darker topics and toxic relationships, as long as we've all discussed it / there aren't any hard no topics (which are listed in the rules, and pretty straightforward for the most part) and we're all okay with it, I'm also down to do some exploration! I think relationships are complicated and as long as we acknowledge what's wrong with one it's fun to explore some dysfunction. Anyway, I don't typically write nsfw either but I do do fade to blacks / if I'm really super comfortable with you it might be something we could discuss.

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable? You know, writing in xianxia makes this hard. I think in a normal (tm) non-xianxia timeline, as long as everybody is well over Adult Age / the equivalent of 30 (tm), I'll typically accept up to a 12 year gap. Any more over that feels like it's approaching the territory of weird (tm). If it's xianxia as long as everybody is well over adult age I'll go hundreds of thousands of years without so much as blinking hhhh

Are you selective when shipping? Yes and no! I tend to jump the gun when it comes to ships because I'm enthusiastic about trying things. If characters have some kind of chemistry I'm typically all for jumping straight in without too much preamble. On the other hand, if it's really not working or I really just don't think a ship will work I don't want to compromise in order to try to ship! Dupes are another area where I'm a little selective. Only if I think I can offer a different perspective or a different vibe for a ship I already have with a particular character will I try to ship with a dupe of that character. I don't want anybody to feel interchangeable with anybody else and I want to respect everybody's individual portrayal!

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW? To preface: NSFW is a rare occurrence on this blog, as I typically do fade to blacks. On the particular occasion when I need to tag NSFW however, I feel I'm bad at judging this threshold??? I'm an overzealous tagger, so I think a lot of times my read mores and my tags are used on things that may not be considered *very* nsfw! My judge for whether or not to tag/read more really depends on my own innate "what the fuck can I really post this on tumblr" meter. Which is to say, I'll tag everything but how hard I blush about what I wrote determines whether or not I throw it under a read more. I think statistically this is typically when: clothes come off, people are touching in private areas, or, and this one may only pertain to me - they're saying things they wouldn't want anyone other than their current partner to hear.

Who are other muses you ship your muse with? Crossover canons!!! OCs!!! Canon canons!!! My lovely mutuals are always so lovely with their muses and my muses love them!!

Does one have to ask to ship with you? Please do! It'd be easier for both of us to talk about it so we know we're shipping. Cat and mouse games are fun when it comes to chemistry (tm) but it's always most clear and least confusing if we talk about the muse intentions!

How often do you like to ship? uh, contrary to my "not ship obsessed" personality...quite a lot! It's a fun part of rp that I don't tend to deprive myself of! I am happy to write any kind of relationship between two muses, however! Just because I frequently find myself shipping doesn't mean that I won't do other types of dynamics / invest equal amounts of emotion into them! I've got some great platonic things going on too!

Are you multiship? Very much so! Multiverse multifandom multiship baby it's on the tin!!

I'd love to add you! I have a couple of different things going, but am happy to tag and then if you aren't in the mood for that thing or it's not your typical fare it's fine. However, if you'd like to specify, cause I have about 3 'kinds' of stories I'm currently posting, that's also good!

So, I have the Stephen series Animate Objects, and that starts with a 2-part story, Day Eight, where aid worker Amista Cairn runs into Stephen Strange and feels oddly compelled to show up at the sanctum to figure him out. That's followed by Diminished Seventh, a seven part sequel where Stephen and Amy work through his suspicion and her confusion as an ancient Babylonian relic imprinted on her the second she set foot in the sanctum. The next in the series will be Sixth Sense, which I haven't started yet, but it'll delve more deeply into what is up with the relic, and whether Stephen and Amy can get over their mutual mistrust, since they can't keep their hands off of each other...

The other series I'm posting is Trust Fall, which is a Tony/OC MCU re-write that will include more women in the Avengers, a team-oriented take earlier on in the chronology, and features Tony Stark and Emory Autumn. Emory is a PA to a pop star whose career needed a boost, so she went to Afghanistan to sing for the troops, putting Emory in the position to be kidnapped along with Tony, in the cave. Emory's smart and capable, but she's let her friend walk all over her for far too long. Tony and Emory both realize they need to change for the better as they fall for each other. A complication arises as Yinsen offers Emory a serum injection he'd spent his life savings on for his own family, who are now gone. Emory's new powers help them escape the cave-- but they put her in SHIELD's sights. ((EDIT: oh I forgot. There is so much sexy kissing in this story. SO MUCH. Gosh! Eventually smut in this one))

Along with Trust Fall I have a couple of other Tony Stark smut or ask stories (including a Tony/Steve I'm writing right now)

The third thing I've been writing is Steve/Reader fics, I have a oneshot set early on after Thanos's snap, and my series is called Just Right. Post-Ultron, Reader works as the 'armorer' for the Avengers, and she's loved Steve from afar for a year without being brave enough to say anything. Another version of Steve Rogers shows up, and this version looks at her like a precious gift-- but what's going on? What's happened to this Steve, and will it happen to their universe? Reader wants her Steve, but if this other version goes home, will she lose her chance to be with Steve Rogers? I also have a Sam Wilson/Reader argument kiss ask that's coming up, too!

@tanukinuts thank you for asking this because it gives me a chance to address something tumblr (and the internet as a whole) isn't very good at addressing. I'm doing this in the spirit of informing, not to start arguments, but i understand that what i'm saying is strongly worded--it's just because i care a lot. I welcome discussion and questions!

1: this petition is about unionization, which is fundamentally different from going on strike. as a union, you have collective bargaining power and a strike is the FINAL RESORT. obviously once a workplace is unionized they have the OPTION to strike... but please don't confuse "unionization" with "going on strike."

2: this petition is specifically about unionizing specific roles (production workers) at a specific workplace (Disney), and asking the employer (Disney) to voluntarily recognize the unionization. that would be a major step forward in the union's ability to tackle working conditions at Disney. right now, animators and writers are covered under TAG, but animation production workers are not. to include them in the union will increase the size of the union and therefore their power.

3: strikes are brutal. strikes are especially devastating to the most vulnerable populations of a workforce, marginalized people whose financial stability is already teetering on the edge. a wildcard (not wildcat) strike is, by definition of a work stoppage, going to lead to workers being financially ruined, workers leaving the industry forever, workers not being able to pay their bills and being evicted, workers going hungry.

i support the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes unequivocally. that's my industry we're talking about and the demands they've made are 100% fucking necessary for the survival of the industry.

it will also lead to homelessness, hunger, despair, and real human suffering. WGA and SAG-AFTRA members walked into the strike, voted in a 95%+ majority for the strike, KNOWING they would suffer. and they still did it because it's necessary.

we have to hold both those ideas at once. we have to understand the fucking gutting solemnity of choosing to take collective labor actions, that are essential but will also lead to a lot of suffering. we have to minimize the suffering by making sure strike funds & mutual aid funds are well-equipped to weather the strikes. (entertainment community fund & green envelope grocery fund are good places to start.)

tumblr and the wider internet are not good at approaching the strike seriously. tumblr is a place where ten thousand people will cheer on the strike and urge other industries to strike, while those same people are not yet emotionally equipped to deal with the fact that the strike will lead to terrible outcomes for a lot of people.

the pizza funds and the grocery funds aren't just there because people are taking precautions. without paychecks, SAG-AFTRA and WGA members, and tens of thousands of people from other industries whose jobs depend on Hollywood, are food-insecure, are going hungry. so this is what I mean when I say strikes are always the last, last resort. they are powerful exactly because they are so devastating. it's like that scene from Live Free or Die Hard where John McClane wins by shooting himself through the shoulder to shoot Gabriel who's standing behind him. Sure, he kills Gabriel, but he also fucking SHOOTS HIMSELF to do it. that's a strike.

caveat: the WGA and SAG-AFTRA are keeping morale high by occasionally hosting super cool picket line parties and themed events. more power to them--this is a good thing! they have to keep morale high by any means necessary because if you think about the reality of 300,000 penniless workers going up against 15 multimillionaire CEOs who want them to starve and die, and rent is due and bills are due and Los Angeles is 100 degrees and you still have to picket--things get scary fast. I'm just saying that as supporters of the strike, we should be careful when we're gleefully egging things on, because that demonstrates a lack of understanding for the very real sacrifices of the laborers.

anyway, tl;dr, sign the petition, it's good to ask for voluntary recognition because if there is even the SLIGHTEST hope Disney recognizes these workers voluntarily and empowers the union and averts future strike actions, it lessens a lot of human suffering.

but strikes can and will become necessary, so get yourself educated about the industries and strike terminology. in a year or two it could be your workforce up for unionization, and suddenly the future is resting on your and your coworkers' shoulders.

Edit because I fact-checked myself after the fact, my apologies:

TAG (The Animation Union) already exists and covers animation artists & writers. The above petition is about ADDING specific production roles to the union, and asking Disney to voluntarily recognize that unionization.

As an old Big Time Rush fan who recently went to a concert and is remembering all my previous fics and getting sucked back into the fandom, I would just like to complain very quickly about the lack of distinction AO3 users seem to have between the Big Time Rush (TV show) and Big Time Rush (band) tags.

I'm probably not the first or only person to complain about this, but I'm 99% certain that one was intended for RPF and one was intended for fic based on the show only. Tagging both for your show fic only confuses and makes it harder for people trying to search specifically for RPF, AND for people wanting to exclude RPF, for that matter. Because now if you want to hide anything featuring the actual real life band members, without missing out on any show fics, you have to type all their names in the exclude box, and who has the time for that?

Everyone was panicking. The Avengers had just received a ransom video showing Tony in the hands of some HYDRA kidnappers. They were currently rewatching it, hoping to find some clues to where HYDRA was keeping Tony, as JARVIS couldn't locate him.

"What'cha watching?" a voice over Steve's shoulder said, startling him.

Behind him stood Tony. Steve couldn't do anything other than gawk at Tony, who, other than a few scrapes and bruises, looked completely fine.

"I guess you didn't want to wait for us to rescue you," Bucky remarked.

So due to tumblr's recent addition of "community labels" and my inherent suspicion of anything tumblr does, I'm here to remind you that Pillowfort is literally exactly everything tumblr users have been asking for, without the censorship. There are many, many, features and I can't even think of them all right now but the main one is that they aren't funded by advertisers; currently, I believe they're fully user-funded by donations with plans to implement some kind of optional subscription for premium features in the future. Because of this, they fully allow NSFW content. Basically if it's legal to post on the internet (in the USA, anyway, where Pillowfort is based) its welcome on Pillowfort. You can mark your posts as , if you're worried about minors being exposed to anything unsavory. In fact, looking at their post toggles right now, you can change the privacy of individual posts so that only logged-in users, followers, mutuals, or even yourself are able to view it. Pillowfort has privacy controls galore.

Literally the only thing that tumblr has that Pillowfort doesn't is the user base. Which is where this post comes in. If you, too, are suspicious of these new community labels and the fact that tumblr is being super vague about their policies and the fact that anyone can just "suggest" a community label for a post (which might then be permanently slapped on your post, with no way to take it off without appealing to the tumblr mod team), please, please consider joining Pillowfort. Your tone just confuses me because of the dichotomy between "Hey, let's have a friendly conversation" and "Why are you invading trauma survivors' spaces"; it seemed like a genuine opening for conversation until that last part. Sorry for misreading your tone, but that really is how it came off to me and several others.

But regardless, I'm open to talk about it. 🤷🏾 So long as it's genuinely good faith discussion idm.

First of all:

…one of my main gripes is why "mixed origins" systems don't think they're just normal CDD systems formed through trauma.

Because plurality is an extremely subjective experience and they're choosing to label their plurality resulting from their CDD (if any; not all pwCDDs identify with plural—our main system doesn't!) as separate from this other plural experience they're having, which can result in them sort of fitting in a weird liminal space.

Like, yeah, my DID is childhood trauma-based, but I'm not 100% sure if Wonder as a layer is a part of my DID or not. The only reason I don't outright call myself "traumaendo" specifically (aside from just not really being sure due to infinitely complex nuance that I can't even really get into) is because to me, doesn't really matter where we came from, just that we're all here. But to others, that DOES matter. And that's fine too. If it helps them and doesn't harm them or others then I am in my lane minding my business.

Secondly:

…I just don't think endos and otherwise should use terms coined by [CDD] systems for [CDD] systems?

Who is "and otherwise" here? Endogenic is an umbrella term for non-traumagenic so this wording confuses me.

I also really don't know of examples for this, so if you could give some that'd be great. I'm also not super knowledgeable on colloquial terms within the CDD community regardless so someone who knows more can help more unless it's something I've already seen talked about. 🫡

If this is referring to medical terms, I'm pretty sure endogenic systems, again, deliberately distance themselves from them. Thirdly, I'm well-aware that CDDs aren't just plurality, but the plural ASPECT of the experience—when it is had, which it isn't always—is what's relevant to this conversation because it's what's being compared. Nowhere did I say "Let's conflate the two". In fact I had a whole paragraph dedicated to saying that because of the unique experience of having a CDD vs. being plural without one, pwCDDs should have their own spaces to talk about this stuff—and they do, but unfortunately, people end up plopping syscourse in what are known as they "identity tags", which are just supposed to be for talking about CDD experiences. Which a lot of people have expressed discomfort with. ANYWAY that's not super relevant.

I've expressed that pwCDDs and plural folks without them should be able to have their own spaces to talk about them. However, I also think there should be a secret third thing: A space for all plural folks to talk about their experiences, whether it came from a CDD or not. These things…can exist at the same time. They're not mutually exclusive, imo. Just…different spaces for different things.

Life's got me thinking about it again because i'm seeing their username pop up a lot lately (based on others tagging them or reblogging their stuff); and the names of my (now former) irl friends pop up in conversations with any of the friends who stuck by me thus far; and it's just-... i don't know how to feel anymore.

Like of course it's okay for people to still be friends with the tumblr blogger (posssibly former mutual?) who blocked me; and ofc it's okay for people to still be friends with the ones irl friends who cut me off (i guess); because i am NOT wanting or trying to isolate either of them online or irl from anyone else.

At the moment, i'm just trying to ignore the pangs of hurt and honestly wasn't even sure if i was going to bother saying this .. feel free to ignore. i just need to vent, i guess .. like it's nothing/not a big deal, but it still feels like something anyways? It shouldn't hurt so much to realize i was blocked off by someone online and by (who i thought were true) friends irl and realize that i have mutuals who are friends with this person (and for the irl seperate situation i have friends who stuck by me but are also close to those who have either cut me off or "drifted away"...) ... it's just such an awkward feeling i guess?

I feel like by saying this i'm gonna make people curious and it's starting drama ... which by no means do i want any drama at all. I hate drama and fighting of any kind. That's the last thing i want. I just don't know what to feel anymore other than to simply try to let things go since i'll never know what i did wrong. (I'm not mad btw, just confused/sad still). 😓❤️‍🩹

[Btw these are two very seperate situations with different people. Both just coincidentally happened around the same time. One person online, the others are irl childhood friends who i used to be close to and just seemed to suddenly cut me off at one point while still staying close with eachother. I've tried to reach out to the irl friends before but things just aren't the same and there's clearly emotional distance IF they bother to answer me... and i have no way of contacting the tumblr user since they blocked me, (as what blocking is for obv), plus their anons are off.].

There's a hole in my heart because friendship breakups are just a *different* type of hurt. </3

Just curious... what happens when someone blocks you on Tumblr?

I used to follow someone on here and suddenly they disappeared, and i searched for their account but nothing comes up in the app... but on the internet (if i am not signed in) it does...

i genuinely don't remember doing anything to upset them; and their content was one of my favourites on here, it was always being praised by myself and others, and i could've sworn at one point we were mutuals.... their work/fics are also one of the accounts that literally inspired me to make one of my own... 🥺💔

Maybe it shouldn't matter to me and i should just leave the (lack of?) situation alone..?

It just feels disappointing and confusing since it genuinely makes me feel ill that i could've accidentally upset someone to the point of being blocked.. 😣😥💔

I called this mutual friend today and holy shit my housemate's behaviour is somehow even worse than what I experienced...

I will tag this as 'housemate drama' in case anyone wants to filter it out cause god knows there will probably be more where this came from

- they plagiarized my friend's cover letter for a managerial position at our school, promised they would give my friend a job if they got the position . when my friend expressed concern cause they were submitting an application for a job at the same place, my housemate was like "oh don't worry that position closes in a week so you have time to rewrite your cover letter :)"

- once my housemate got the position they were like "actually I don't like how it'll look if I hire my friend so even if you're the most qualified person who applies I'm still not gonna hire you"; proceeded to try and sabotage my friend's entire hiring process by ranking them as low as possible (my friend got the job cause everyone else on the hiring panel wanted them)

- my housemate also literally did not ask HR about how to deal with a conflict of interest, just decided that they had to prevent this friend from getting the job in every way possible.. even though this friend is financially independent (and my housemate! is supported by their parents!) and relies on students loan/whatever income they can scrape up...

- tried to get this friend to apply for another position instead which was 10 more hours a week; turns out they were doing that cause they wanted to prevent ME from getting the job since I was the most qualified candidate at the time (I didn't go for the job cause I didn't want to work with them... Good decision)

- when my friend wanted to hire me as a volunteer for their service, my housemate tells them that they are forbidden from doing so; when my friend is like "you can't do that", my housemate is like "well actually I'm your boss so yes I can" (very much not how that works!)

- my housemate only hired the other person at the service cause they thought the person wouldn't cause issues for them

- they have been reported to HR within 2 months of having this position lol

- insisted on having a date with this girl AT MY FRIEND'S APARTMENT. my friend leaves to give them privacy. literally 10 minutes later my housemate decides to leave with the girl they're on a date with.. while leaving the apartment completely unlocked and also leaving all their shit there. my friend tries to call them back cause they have an exam the next day and need to go to bed and my housemate does not respond. my friend ends up having to call the girl they're on a date with to force my housemate to come pick up their shit (which takes way too long)

- when my friend tells my housemate "hey that wasn't okay I feel like you aren't respecting my time" my housemate blames it on being neurodivergent and starts crying... does not change their behaviour lol

- still believes they did nothing wrong when they made everyone cry at my gathering.... and then proceeded to make of ppl for crying. Said the reason I sent them a stern message setting boundaries (your behavior was inappropriate and made everyone uncomfortable; also we literally verbally told you this and you ignored it) was cause I "had it out to get them"

- also constantly bragging about how they're the chillest person ever btw. and how they've done so much internal work and they've healed so much. they roll out of bed onto a yoga mat and listen to bird noises for an hour. they've done all the internal work (which means they're better than you btw) and they don't need therapy cause they do shadow work and journaling 🙏 even though they have literally frequented someone's favorite study spot before just to ruin it for them (super super chill behavior) (this is sarcasm)
