I'm new to OBX and Jiara (My loves) I did see your post a couple weeks back about a fanfic that shows JJ breaking Kie out of Kitty Hawk and was wondering if you had a link to it (if you know the one I'm talking about) never read any before was thinking of that to be my first after I caught up on season 2 and now 3. Now during the hiatus will be torture good thing I can read fics of Jiara that you all posted over the years.

hello!!! of course!! i'm not 10000% sure which post you are referring to, but I'm pretty sure there's two major possibilities for a fic like that I would be talking about. if we're talking about a fic that I wrote, the only one I have about JJ breaking Kie out of Kitty Hawk is crash at my place. it doesn't actually show him breaking her out, but it's a fic about what I think would have happened if they had to stay at the Maybank house following the break out.

the other possibility is all my friends are bad kids by @kiekiecarrera. this is basically the jj breaks kie out of blue ridge og fic, and I think I reblogged the au gif set of this a few weeks back. even if this isn't the one you are talking about, I still recommend reading it!!!! reina's insanely talented.

I forget if you've covered this before, but do either of the boys smoke in the modern day version? My assumption is no, but I do think it would be cute for one to stop for the other's sake. I also think both would look extremely handsome doing it (until Machete breaks out into a coughing fit).

In modern au, Machete started stress smoking at around 14 or 15, initially prompted by peer pressure (he wanted to impress his friends, most of which seemed way cooler than him). He was never an incessant chain smoker but it was something he could do to manage his anxiety (or at least feel like he had some control over it). He continued until he met Vasco.

With Vasco's support, he managed to quit shortly after their relationship became serious, mostly out of fear of bothering his boyfriend with the smell. He still sometimes fidgets with the lighter when he's feeling agitated.

People will really say "Jonathan Sims is a good guy!" or "Jonathan Sims is a bad person!" as if a prominent message of his character arc wasn't that no matter who you are, what you do, or how you behave your actions can cause harm or good without intention, and baselessly assigning morals to people who aren't deliberately causing harm is pointless because our view of them is more about how they affect us than how they actually are.

For better or worse, everyone is just a person. We're all both not at fault and entirely to blame.

Idk if you already answered an ask like this already but does Splinter and Donnie have a good father and son relationship? 🤔

For the most part, yeah it's good. Splinter still has his flaws of course, as much as he loves Donnie he isn't always very good at showing it, and he's still dealing with some pretty intense depression.

That being said, taking care of one mutant turtle child, while still hard, is significantly easier than care of four. Because of that, Splinter in this AU is able to dedicate a lot more time to Donnie. On the flipside, because Donnie doesn't have any siblings to entertain him, he seeks out Splinter for company a lot more, and Splinter isn't always able to give all of the attention that he needs. But overall, I'd say they are closer in the AU than they are in canon, considering they've mostly only been able to rely on each other for so long.

I know there are all those videos of irl lawyers reacting to Ace Attorney and how it all comes down to "omg what if court was really like this??" but I can assure you that court is, many times, actually like this. Like you would not believe what goes down sometimes.

The things we have to sit through with a straight face. There might be no ghost-channeling or cross-examining parrots but the level of surrealism is pretty close most of the time.
