☆ i think max had regressed before, but her regression became much more frequent after her powers developed !!

☆ max is so so shy when she's small but chloe helps get her out of her shell !! (as safely and comfortably as possible of course :))

☆ chloe loves getting to take care of max !!! it makes her feel needed and helps her get used to being relied on !!

the best way i can explain it is i try to use as little detail as possible to convey information. if you can master simplifying info down to the basics, drawing faces gets a lot easier (in my experience, at least!) these ⬇️ are probably my best examples of doing this. i’m really proud of them!! :D

i’m hugely inspired by artists like mike mignola, bruce timm, and genndy tartakovsky! hellboy is one of my favorite medias ever, i grew up watching the dc cartoons timm worked on and samurai jack, so those are my go-to artists whenever i feel like i’m stuck. they’re all insanely good at shape language and simplifying faces in an aesthetically pleasing + concise way. freaking awesome stuff ⬇️

side note: mignola worked as a production designer on disney’s atlantis: the last empire, so that’s another good character design/simplification source!

also, the dreaded anatomy studies :/ I H8 ANATOMY! but i rewatch sinix design’s videos for his crash courses on them OFTEN. he’s funny and charming, always sounds like he’s smiling when he talks, and explains everything in a way that doesn’t make my head want to explode. i highly recommend watching his vids :) ✏️🔗

all in all, it’s just important to not get bogged down by agonizing over details. i still struggle with this a LOT, so this is advice to myself as much as it is to anyone else.

have tryed out clip studio paint!!! my thoughts: neat but a bit hard to control. love love how i can sketch on here though. looks and works a lot like paper so mabey this will be how i get more digital sketching done!! ibis paint is still better for super finnished arts i think.

gonna piggyback off of that confession about animal ears and tails and fur and paws on objects for a bit. this is a bigger thing i notice beyond ii fanart and it's certainly a pattern courtesy of the whole internet, but i just don't think there would be as many cats/dogs/foxes/wolves as all the artists make them out to be

this is a non-issue against shit that matters but i'm honestly kind of burnt out on seeing the same old animal looks on everyone. like i get that it's easy to draw and it brings in all the furries but i don't even think this cast is a quarter felines and canines and the other common fursona species

like paintbrush has hooves. suitcase has an exoskeleton. cabby has a pouch. lightbulb has a shell. balloon bloats like a frog. knife has talons. fan has wings. tea kettle has a trunk. tissues has wool. i saw art of bot, the most obviously butterfly-themed character of the entire show, drawn as a mouse and i spat out my drink. there's so many of you ii artists and you're all bejng beat in the creative biodiversity department by one cast drawing of animated inanimate battle

like. i'm not gonna stop any of you but i swear some of you need to watch national geographic more often

REALLL THO,,, funny how you mention fan having wings because i always draw him having them (yk,,, a parrot because they are loud) but into the topic i really wish there was more both biodiversity and symbolism when choosing those tbh,,,,,, ex on symbolism would be suitcase having hooves/being a deer (deer in a headlight) or balloon being likeee a vulture or smth (being a vulture is like taking advantage from other people ((although its only when the victim is in a bad situation it kinda fits ngl) or what you just mentioned (which is actually super smart!!! /pos) but then we just get cat/dog/fox/bunny slop and its honestly annoying (also saying this as someone who used to do this very everytime i didnt really have any idea what animal an object would be)

hi. one quastion. muse. and ashe. and the transition from ashe to muse. idk if yall talked about it before but ik the trickster was pretending to be ashe’s friend for a while (CRAZY. DID NORMAL THINGS TO MY BRAIN) and then Yoinked him afrer overlord and ashe reappeared again a few weeks later as muse fancy evil puppet strings and spooky letter and all. i wondered last night what happened in those weeks and im just. Haunted. What Happened. how does the trickster take control over people and does he need to be in close proximity to them is that why he had to wait so long to get ashe and when did ashe realize it was going wrong. how long did the trickster keep pretending to be his friend. did ashe ever cry into the trickster’s shoulder about the overlord bullshit. did he ever realize that shit was going down and he needed to leave but never could. was it like his breaker state where he never fully had a Realization he just kept fading away and then theres nothing to realize its just his life to be that freak’s doll. <- many questions but pretend its the one. ashe pov of ashe to muse pipeline. would he even remember it and does it also feature in nightmares

AHAHA. AWESOME QUESTION. I AM GOING TO DIRECT MOST OF THIS TO @stuck-in-the-ghost-zone because this specific time frame is their beautiful little evil fucking bowl of seeds. they will be able to answer this so awesomely for you. sniles sneetly.

the part that i will answer is saying Yes ashe remembers.... not all of it. he remembers the beginning, and he knows when the memories started getting too smeared and blurry and vague before eventually stopping entirely. oh you know it features in nightmares babey!!!!! you know he knows he got stalked for upwards of Months probably by the trickster who knew where he was almost every second of that time!! it takes. a very long time before the constant absolutely paralyzing terror that the trickster is Still Watching Him eases up in the safety of his own home & the wards house. it takes even longer than that for the paranoia at being outside and around people any of whom could be!!! Him!!!!! is manageable enough for him to u know. go out for longer than like 10 minutes without panicking messily. also i think the sensory memory of that first possession (u will see what i mean. 🧍) is seared into him & he has nightmares about it often & wakes up still feeling it and unable to shake the feeling even after he wakes up. ^__^
