Listening to the Big O soundtrack while doing a homework assignment makes me appreciate the ost more for two sole reasons:

It has multiple Leitmotifs, it’s not just that one song. A lot of songs seemingly reuse similar instruments or elements so it’s very cool it’s a trend.

It’s preventing my fucking mental breakdown from this assignment

AMAZING question and i think dex would probably be just as conflicted as i am about the answer to that asjfhsknf. he’d want to take nursey anywhere he thinks he’d enjoy and he knows nurse doesn’t really mind crowds since he grew up in new york, so i say he’d probably still take nursey to bar harbor even though dex personally would have preferred to avoid it.

idk whether you mean an ice cream spot in general or specifically in bar harbor, but i’m gonna go with in general bc i have a good idea for a spot in portland. there’s this cute little ice cream joint in old port called Beal’s that’s PERFECT for people watching when you sit outside. i feel like dex would have found it on a particularly hot day over one of the summers when he worked with his uncle and he ended up just sitting there people watching for hours until it ended up getting dark out. he takes nursey there and they probably sit and people watch for awhile before taking a walk along the eastern promenade trail to “burn off the calories” (aka brush their hands against each other while they walk and pretend they’re not basically on a date)

This is a bit from the funeral fic i talked to you guys about. It’s MiWip Wednesday, I guess? Or is it just WIP wednesday? What are the capitalization rules for this???

Anyway, as usual, you guys know i kinda serially tag ppl—literally no pressure. Also, i really do hope today was a relatively decent day for you both.

Here’s the segment:

Idk. For anyone who doesn’t know, this “funeral fic” is basically writing about a series of st funerals, starting with will’s, then running through bob’s, barb’s, hopper’s, billy’s, and eddie’s. This bit is Miwi era, and although no Miwi is in this particular segment please know that it is there in spirit (hence, miwip). This particular scene may or may not end up in the final fic, i haven’t really decided yet. (It is unedited rn, but i’m trying to ignore that for the sake of actually posting something 😅) For context, the boys are making a photo board to display at Bob’s funeral. Personally i hc the Byers as Jewish, at least on Joyce’s side, but since Lonnie was still in the picture when Jonathan was 7… 🤷. Having Jonathan have a Communion worked for this segment, so we’re leaving it for now.
