This is sorta the nicest way someone has told me they love my ideas. I get the ‘I love your AUs’ comments all the time, and they always make me warm, but I love being told exactly what someone likes about them. So, answer first: I just put a tag on this post that says ‘my fics’ click and follow that, that will show you actual fics that I have posted on AO3. If for some reason you can’t find the link, the username is Bam4Me

Answer the longer; I will warn you, I don’t post a link here to everything that I write so you can still go there and see what you like, but also, I don’t stick just random ideas I’m not working on or actively posting/posted to in that link. So I have a million ideas but if something is there I’m either close to finishing and about to post soon, or already have.

A deeper explanation: this is so sweet of you to say. For my entire life I’ve dealt with disabilities, and in the past six or so months, I have written and posted more than I have in the past four years. What’s changed is that I’m sorta dealing with a lot lately and it’s given me a lot of sitting time. Lol. Frankly it’s been a major help lately (I am, at this moment, trying to shallow breathe through a very painful infection that is fighting tooth and nail to stay in my face it’s so painful I wanna die but this ask cheered me up so much that I’m able to think of something else) and so I’ve thrown myself back into writing, and I have actually been typing up stories that I had/have had ideas for years ago and still love now, as well as random ones that come to my head now.

And I’m actually really excited about that. Like I have been looking through old posts (I only tag my own work or art/meta/ideas that I TRULY don’t want to forget, so what I do is that sometimes you’ll see a blank post with nothing but tags on my blog… yeah that’s me trying to look for a specific post by tag hopping because it’s fastest and most reliable on mobile) and giving new life to AUs years old and adding ideas I didn’t think of when I wrote them. Rarely do I really stray from them.

So. If you truly love an AU I just posted, and you tell what you like most about it, it typically makes the time till I actually get to writing it a lot faster than some.

I just. I just woke up from the nicest nap (because of Benadryl lmao I’m so tired still) because of the WORST swelling (because of that darn infection that I’m hoping these antibiotics take care of soon it’s so painful they had to give me oxy cause I’m allergic to acetaminophen lolllll it hurts so bad I’m rubbing topical nsaids on it and downing ibuprofen and gabapentin it’s so bad) and this ask as well as a few comments I got otherwise, have absolutely made my day. I’m happy; and I love writing and this is very nice. Thank you.

This Week In "Time & Again" #30: Gettin' There Little By Little 💪 And About The Inevitability Of Inconsistencies

(look, look! He CAN be cute sometimes, I swear!.. Not always terrible)

Well... I was hoping to make another post before the New Year's, but failed at it. Those were not fake promises: that's just adult's life, and it's totally normal 😁 Happy New Year everyone!!! I hope that the new year brings you a lot of wonderful achievements!!!

And here's the happy news right away! I made my way through the majority of the lineart for Chapter 6.1!!! 🥳

As indicated earlier, there are still some parts that I will have to come back to and address later on after a satisfactory amount of research. But the majority is done. I am very happy. I will miss you dearly, [redacted], until you appear in the story again. So I'm moving on to Part 2 now 😁

Oh irony! Even with Lothar's anger outbursts that I teasingly mentioned in the previous post, Chapter 6 is going to feel quite tranquilized. Oftentimes, I think about that awesome Evangelion meme with Kermit The Frog that fantastically pinpoints the difference between the opening mood and that of the rest of the show (and unfortunately, no matter how much I try, I cannot find that meme anywhere in the internet or even on my phone... I swear I did NOT fantasize it). Up to this day and since forever ago, that is one of my absolute favourite Evangelion memes. Well, aside from "I'm not getting in the effing robot: change my mind". So, I see a strong resemblance between that meme, Evangelion, and "Time & Again". Evangelion was and still is one of the biggest inspirations for "Time & Again", and you will see it very clearly in Chapter 6. There's a little bit of everything. A story about two contract killers in love?! With time travel, and tagged as "action"?! And "aliens"?! And "comedy", on top of that?! Gee, that must be intense!.. But no! Instead, you're thrown directly into Lothar's broken head and showered with his countless, repetitive, tedious thoughts on the meaning of existence and sour memories of the love that is irreversibly (?!) gone. Welcome to "Time & Again", folks 😁. The story that most likely will break your expectations. Because expectations always only prematurely limit and therefore ruin our experience and enjoyment, so it's better to go without them at all 😝 (the statement has been 100% proven by my own experience)

Anyways, here's "a fun ruiner" (those of you who want to solve all the puzzles in the story by themselves - please skip this paragraph): even though the chapter is gonna be focused primarily on Lothar's stuttering and ever-multiplying thoughts, there's still gonna be a lot of pop-culture references. Again, including subtle Evangelion references. And references to Easter eggs from another certain franchise. Mystery and mystification? Yes please!!!

Now, one more thing. I keep repetitively mentioning the importance of consistency in one's art style in my blog posts. So here's more on the topic.

I take 3 4 sketchbooks with me all the time: one has the storyboard, and the other 2 3 have designs of the characters and their outfits (both require a certain consistency when drawing, as you may have guessed. Lothar might be a rich guy after all, but he won't change his shirt every hour). I remember reading about Naoko Takeuchi's work and how she mentioned that she used to forget to draw certain elements on the outfits of Sailor senshi here and there because those designs were so complex and highly detailed. This fact entertains me... Because I can totally relate. Especially since my outfit designs are also getting progressively complex, and some invisible hand (must be my subconscious) just keeps pushing me to do that despite my clear logical intention to simplify things. Darn it. It's like when you fight [redacted] in [also redacted] in Vampire Survivors, and they just keep pulling White Reaper from the side of the screen to insta-kill the players. In other words, I'm getting really carried away sometimes, when I'm having a lot of fun. It's hard to keep up with fizzingly explosive nature of creativity, because there is nothing rational about it by default. Art is weird. That's why I bring my sketchbooks with me to my studio room, so that I could look at them and make sure I'm not missing another button, zipper or a part of embroidery on anybody's outfit... And, last but not the least, to also make sure that I draw the shape of Beatnik's nose right on every panel. After all, that guy cannot have his facial features altered with a plastic surgery on every panel. I'm still a human tho, and I'm destined to fail at times, for nobody's perfect. In fact, just today I noticed a mistake in Chapter 4 when checking for something - that is, about a year and a half after release 😱💀 Peck! Now that needs to be fixed and updated on GlobalComix and Itch. 🤦‍♀️ *sigh*

Now, time for some weird musings - for your amusement (pun most certainly intended). I already talked numerous times to virtually everybody I know about my experience of how one's art style changes almost every drawing session (even over the course of 24 hours). By a little bit, perhaps unnoticeable to the majority of the viewers - but the artist themselves can definitely spot the difference, subtle and ghastly, but it's certainly still there. I don't know if that happens to absolute 100% of the artists, but I can definitely see that this happens TO ME. Since a giant comic chapter cannot be done in one sitting neither hypothetically nor physically, the tiny, miniscule fluctuations in the art style will be inevitably present - even though they could be easily omitted/ignored by the readers. Come to think of that: that entertaining observation correlates with the bizarre idea of us dying every time we go to sleep and becoming different "ourselves" (or just flat out different people, to take it to the extremes) as we wake up. Every drawing session is an act of feverish madness driven by the hand of a higher entity (there are multiple interpretations of the aforementioned theory in cultorology), every each one of them has nothing to do with the subsequent ones. We can talk about some ephemeral, general "art style" of a certain artist, and yes indeed, these variations of the same art style have a lot in common - and yet, they're still different, slightly or vastly - depending. Or at least that's what is feels like to me.

Finally, to the less complex stuff to wrap up the post 😁 There's a lot of black colour in Chapter 6. Even though I listen to happier music, such as vaporwave and new wave. Although Marc Almond's music is not exactly giving me that even and steady cathartic feeling that is incredibly useful when drawing but rather strikes hard and loud as thunder at times, I still really appreciate it. I do need to switch back to Floral Shoppe and the albums of Nmesh sometimes to maintain the solid steadiness of my work. Vaporwave is so darn good for this chapter every time when [redacted] or [redacted] appear on the pages. It just fits so perfectly. But, looking forward to working on the excruciatingly dark Chapter 6.2 further, I also mentally prepare myself to industrial, metal and twisted creative electronic with a chaotic, horror-esque elements to establish that direct connection between my mind and my drawing stylus that I really need. So, basically, back to Skinny Puppy again. And no, I said Skinny Puppy, not Fat Dog (although the latter are very good!).

P.S. I don't think I've ever mentioned that before, but drawing female characters is incredibly difficult for me 😅 but I'll write more about that later.

P.P.S. Lothar is sure an attractive character... When you don't know him close enough. And when you DO know him close enough, he's still attractive... but he's also begging for a punch in the throat. Or a kick in a lower area. Something like that, anyway.

P.P.P.S. The first video game I beat this year was Fatum Betula. It's an absolutely fantastic little experience in another world, with multiple endings. It's quite artistic, bizarre, and quirky sometimes, a little dark but also fun at times. The skeleton ending was simply wonderful. I highly recommend!

“It is useless, brother,” Loki lamented, shrugging off his tuxedo jacket and dropping the bouquet of roses on Thor’s bed. “I will never be able to tell them how I feel and playing dress-up like this is ridiculous.”

“It is not playing, nor is it ridiculous. You want to woo them, right?”

Loki frowned, feeling like he was about to almost be sucked into yet another of his brother's hair-brained schemes to get him to confess his true feelings to you. And this latest one had barely even ended! Still, he did want to, as Thor put it, woo you, and his brother’s intentions were pure. So, the trickster god sighed and nodded.

“Then trust me; all you must do is don this tux, hand them these flowers, and have confidence in yourself.”

Loki looked in the mirror. He looked ridiculous, he was sure. Then again, Thor did know more about Midgardian culture than Loki did. Unless he was just trying to get revenge on Loki for the countless pranks he’d played on the older Odinson in their youth. But no, the brothers had turned over a new leaf and were truly supportive of each other, even if Loki still had to remind himself of that often. After feeling lonely and ignored for so long, it was easy for him to forget he actually had family to turn to, looking out for him.

“That is easy for you to say,” Loki finally responded. “Everyone practically threw themselves at your feet when you arrived. Everyone has always wanted to be your friend. Me, not so much. No one has ever really liked me, especially not here. Even you took a while to come around.” They both winced at his unintentionally harsh words. “Forgive me, brother, I did not mean it like that. I only mean I cannot afford to lose them. They are my best friend.”

“But they could be your beloved.”

Loki’s face went scarlet. Even if, by some miracle, you liked him back, there was something about that word, about calling someone his beloved, that felt so intimate to him. What would you think of it, he wondered? It didn’t really matter, considering he made up his mind. With a snap of his fingers, Loki was once again dressed in his Asgardian tunic. He saw his brother slouch in defeat.

“They could, in theory... But not today. I am sorry.”

“Brother, there is nothing to apologize for,” Thor reassured, clapping Loki on his back. “I am in your corner. Just promise you will think about it some more?”

After a promise to do just that and a sincere thank you thrown his brother’s way, Loki headed back to his rooms to wallow in his failure by his lonesome. That plan was quickly tossed out the window when he saw you standing outside his door, art supplies in hand.

“Darling?” he said. “Is everything alright?”

“Oh! There you are,” you said, spinning around. “It is, thanks for asking. I was just looking for you, and here you are. Do you, um, think you can you do me a favor?”

“Of course,” he nodded, sensing some sort of anxiety from you. He didn’t care what the favor was. If it helped you calm down, he’d do it. He opened the door for you. “Will you come in?”

“Thanks again,” you said, as he followed you in.

“It is no problem, darling,” he replied, brow furrowing a little at your perpetuating nervousness. “What may I help you with?”

“See, so you know I’ve been painting a lot recently, right? Well, I ran out canvases and Tony says I can’t paint on the walls. This is probably kind of stupid, but can I paint on you? Like just on your back?”

“Is that all?” he chuckled. “Of course you can. It would be my honor to be of service.”

Loki felt a light blush coat his cheeks as he took off everything covering his top half. At least you were busy setting up your paints, so he didn’t think you noticed. Sitting down with his back to you, he kept his face turned down just to be sure you didn’t see. Still, he knew the exact moment you realized your plan involved him being half-naked because you let out a little squeak. He would have laughed if he wasn’t so flustered himself.

Loki held as still as possible as you rested your hand on his shoulder and began to paint, the strokes of your brush on his skin tickling a little. Eventually he calmed down and relaxed a bit, though he was still hyper-aware of every time your skin made contact with his.

“Hey, Loki?” you hummed after a while of companionable silence with some small chitchat sprinkled in.

“Yes, darling?”

“Just... thank you so much for doing this. Even if you don’t, err, like the finished product, I still really appreciate it.”

“Of course, darling. It is no trouble, really,” he promised. “Anyway, I shall love whatever masterpiece you create.”

“M-masterpiece? You really mean all that?” you squeaked out in flattered surprise.

“Naturally. After all, it is made by you. How can it be anything less that wholly amazing? I love everything you do,” he sighed in content. “I love you.”

Loki’s eyes suddenly went wide once he realized what he’d just confessed to. Darn you always being on his mind and making him feel all soft and squishy inside. But more importantly, darn him for not having a grip on his emotions and his mouth. And now he was going to lose you, his best friend. He would have stood up and pulled away, but you were still painting, and he didn’t want to ruin it.

“I-I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expect that,” you giggled. “But I love you, too.”

“No, darling. You do not have to say that to make me feel better,” he reassured you. “Truly, we can just forget the whole thing if you like.”

“Loki, I’m not faking it, I swear. And I can prove it,” you said, stepping back and taking one final look at your handiwork.

Taking Loki by the hand, you led him to the full-length mirror he kept on his wall. He craned his head to look at his now colorful back reflected at him. You’d painted a heart in his colors, with a few sunflowers around the border and his helmet in the center. At the bottom were words that made his heart stutter. Even though they were reflected backward, he could read them. My beloved. You’d written, “my beloved”. That was him. He could hardly fathom it, but a huge smile spread across his perfect pink lips.

“Believe me now?” you shyly looked up at him.

“Yes, my clever darling,” he replied, realizing this had been your plan all along. Seems like you were just as shy as he was. “I do.”

With an impossibly wide grin, a perfect match to his, overtaking your own features, you cupped his face and brought him in for a kiss. As you both stood there, sealing your confessions with locked lips, Loki didn’t even care that he’d have to listen to Thor gloating about how right he was for the rest of his life. No, that didn’t matter now. In fact, the rest of the world and his problems drifted away, as the only thing that mattered was you. Because if he had the honor to be your beloved, he most certainly knew you would want to be his too.

Relationship status: Pretty darn single and kinda pathetic about it. Turns out college is the last place where you meet new people and that number drops dramatically after that fact. Now you have to actively try to socialize and that does not work with my lifestyle.

Favorite colors: I am very fond of purple. Like the pinkish, magenta shade and then the light lavender shades.

Favorite foods: My mom's cooking is wonderful. I love her enchiladas especially. I also love sushi.

Song stuck in my head: Instant Crush-- Shawn Hook cover it's probably one of IV[or]y Wall's main themes at this point.

Last thing you googled: egg freshness water test --I was cooking and I'm paranoid about them eggs. I always forget the rule of thumb with the water test.

Time: 9:47 PM

Dream trip: I'm not the biggest fan of traveling but I guess I really enjoyed NYC the past couple times I was there. Otherwise I like something more peaceful.

Last thing you read: I was browsing a couple Linked Universe fanfic, that stuff makes me feel like I'm in high school but it's like a nice, indulging feeling.

Last book you enjoyed reading: I just read Witch Hat Atelier and I think it's an actual masterpiece. We don't speak of the last book I've read, I don't do that much these days.

Favorite thing to cook/bake: My signature dish is something called Mayonaise Chicken. It's a parmesan cheese and mayo sauce baked on some chicken breast. It's very yummy. As for baking, I just started making apple pies and I find it really fun.

Favorite craft to do in your free time: I guess my digital art is very much my artistic hobby. But I'll also consider writing my 'free time craft'.

Most niche dislike: Ugh, it's not niche because it's an interpersonal quirk but one you only see in my music circles. I am not a fan of cross-section correction. I am a section leader for multiple choirs and I will fume a storm if someone dares correct my section or another section other than theirs. It has a lot to do with trusting the integrity of the professionals in the room. Stepping on those toes in a public setting is insulting and the benefit of assistance is overshadowed by the contempt it breeds. The section leader is in charge of an individual section's mistakes and successes and we run on a 'stay in your own lane' or at least be sneaky about it. A choir is only as strong as its section leaders and director and cross-section correction doesn't actually fix that and it just makes everyone hate your stuck up ass.

Opinion on circuses: Uhhh They cool. As long as we are talking the modern, spectacle showcases and not the oddity, animal abuse factories of the turn of the century. I'm a performer I like people who perform.

Do you have a sense of direction?  kinda. I'll live but I will GPS everything if given the chance.

25. Forest

He thinks about the corpse in the woods sometimes. Hard to forget where you are buried

He thinks about the corpse in the woods sometimes. Hard to forget where you are buried.

It's October now. It's getting colder. The leaves are falling. They must be covering it by now.

They crunch under his steps as he walks. Something CRUSHES under his foot. His mind pictures bones. Ribs breaking in two.

It's just a branch.

He continues his walk.

The sky is bright, but the mood is gloom. The air is moist. 

It's been a while. It must have decomposed by now, with how much rain they get. Sometimes, he thinks he can feel the dirt on his bones.

He puts a finger on his pulse. Thump. A pause. A painfully long, long, pause. It shouldn't be this long. Thump. He is alive. But his skin is cold.

His hoodie is thick. It was always enough to keep him warm. Now, he is always cold.

The ice of his core. Slowly freezing him from the inside out. 

It's shallowly buried. His corpse. Barely a few centimetres underground. A lump in the dirt hastily covered with soil. Six feet, that's how it's supposed to be.

He strays from the path. Disappeares through the trees. Like a ghost.

There's a few hiker trails in the forests surrounding Amity, but he disregards them all.

He moves through the thick foliage. There are broken branches, broken saplings. He tries to not further disturb it all.

He crushes a flower about halfway through. The stem is mangled, his shoe sole imprinted in the bud.He picks it. He rolls it between his fingers the rest of the way.

He reaches a clearing. There's a big rock in the middle. 

His soul aches. A corpse with no grave, a ghost without rest. What a pity.

He goes up to the rock. The ground underneath it is uneven, disturbed from digging.

Is it still wrong to stand on a grave if it's yours?

He kneels on the forest floor and sets a candle down. Lights it. He lays the mangled flower beside it.

A single broken flower for a lonely corpse.

He feels sorry for it. It must be sad. All alone. In a dark, cold forest. With nobody to know you died, with nobody to mourn you.

Leaving his makeshift graveyard, he felt lighter. That single candle flame keeping him warmer than any blanket.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing lol, checked the Bill tag and at first it didn't SEEM like there was a new post, but I was curious to see the date anyway and what'dya know, it was YESTERDAY :O in 2022 :3 honestly I don't know what happened 😩 one second I was minding my own business, the next I'm collecting every single Bill post on and off tumblr thinking 😳 huh he's cute, and "gosh darn it Bill, stop reawakening my childhood dreams of science and invention" now im career confused XD

DKAJDKKS Bill is so under appreciated and deserves all the love, attention, and fan art honestly. Everyone forgets he exists and he deserves better. 😔

As that one guy in every starter town always says, science is amazing! So honestly go for it bestie, invent a PC for your pets or something idk.

Etoka and the Lion Pride

These are my OC Clone Bois and their Not-Quite-Jedi Commander! These are mostly just the notes I have jotted down for now, but I’m still building these characters, so there’s more to come! Feel free to ask about them though!

They’re a Search and Rescue Team (S&R) for the GAR - the 315th.

Team Color: A Dusty Gold!

(Art is coming for this lovely team, but I wanted to get their introductions out!) 

First is Commander Etoka Etoila: 

She’s got a bit of a backstory that will warrant its own post. I’ll link it when I have it written! Etoka is a togruta Commander for the GAR. She’s a hekken power-house of a sweetheart. Like, big heart, but she can wreck your shit. Literally like a sister to her bois. She’d fight the entire GAR for them, and you won’t convince her to do otherwise. It goes the other way too. Her men will end you if you hurt her. She’s been through enough shit. Pretty close to all of them, but she’s closest to Lion. She has a small tattoo of jaig eyes on the back of her hand that Lion gave her because of what she’s dealt with. Wields dual orange sabers. Is a quazi-jedi (more on that in the backstory, but she isn’t an official jedi). Will love you forever if you give her chocolate of any sort. Ice Cream is a close second though. Especially after long missions. 

And Now For the Clones of the 315th:

Okay, so, first off we’ve got Commander Lion: Lion is pretty darn chill. Especially as a commander. He’s stern when he needs to be, but overall he’s pretty lax. Only goes into “Commander Mode” when he needs to. He’s a funny boy. Always up for a good joke or a prank. Is fluent in Dad Jokes, but if the joke is too bad, he will fight you over it. Will team up with Breaker for April Fools. Hide. They spare no one. (Also, don’t tell the GAR, but he’s s o f t for Etoka. I mean we’ve got a Bly/Ayala situation here. He’s hopeless and everyone on the team knows it.) 

Then We’ve Got Knight: This boi is our Medic! And y’all...the HEART ON THIS MAN! He cares sooooo much for everyone but gosh darn it he never showssss itttttt. At least not in public. He acts stoic, but really he cries anytime his men get so much as scrape. Hardly ever takes his helmet off because he’s crying under it. He will chastise his men for getting hurt. Really he’s just worried about them. You’d never guess, but he’s the strongest of our bois. (Don’t get me wrong, all the bois are hella strong, but rumor has it that he carried a dead Nexus over his shoulder like it was nothing) When he’s not patching up his men, he’s deadly with a vibroblade. You’ll regret pissing him off. Sunny is the only one who's seen him cry besides Etoka. They got drunk together and cried themselves to sleep on eachother. (They’re both sad drunks).

Next up is Breaker: Breaker is the little shit of the group. Will annoy you. On purpose. It’s kind of a game for him. But he knows when to stop, and he’s a sweetheart deep down. He’s a bit haphazard. Known for being clumsy. Notorious for breaking shit (intentionally or not. Sunny won’t let him near the gunship if he doesn’t have to), but despite this, he’s a gifted electrician. Last April Fool’s (forget the canon calendar, It’s not happening today) he and Lion roamed the halls of their stationed ship with shit-eating grins while literally everyone else cowered in fear. Also, this boi is basically married to his Z-6 Rotary Cannon. If he lost her, he’d cry for a month straight.

Then There’s Sunny: Sweatheartttttttt. This boi is soft^TM. He’s a bit of a hopeless romantic and he’s so optimistic you’d think he was a shiny. He’s the Little Bro of the team. He’s the youngest. Literally a ray of sunshine y'all there’s a reason his name is Sunnyyyyyy. Don’t underestimate him though. He’s still a soldier, and he can still hekk you up. He’s serious when he has to be. One HELL of a sharpshooter, and a damn good pilot. He loves the 315’s Gunship. Always protecting it from Breaker. Always has an extra ration bar on hand for Bronco. Will actually die if he’s complimented.  

Bronco: “Nice shootin’ there Sunny” 

Sunny: *dies* 

(Bronco is his big brother, there’s just no other way.)

And finally: Bronco: Kinda a hothead. He’s got a short fuse. He acts Done^TM, but really he just a big softie (Honestly this whole team are softies. That’s just the way it is). This man is a food-driven powerhouse. You can bribe him with pretty much any food. Even ration bars. He’s been a part of too many pranks because Breaker somehow has a stash of extra ration bars anywhere he goes. A million bonus points for anything that’s not a ration bar. He’ll owe you his soul for that. He’ll rain hell if anyone hurts his bros or Etoka. Killer with dual blasters. Would kill for Sunny. (I mean, he’d kill for any of them honestly, but Sunny holds a special place in his heart.) Bronco is also a master of stealth. If he doesn’t want to be seen or heard, he won’t be seen or heart. End of story.

These are my boys for now! I hope y’all like them, and I hope y’all are curious about them! I have a background story working for them at the moment. I have some of it worked out. I’m not sure if I’ll write it all out here though. We’ll see. But yeah! Here they are! Art for them should be up soon! I can’t wait to see what you think of them!

Fic Writer Question Meme!

I got tagged by @ihni, @callieb​, and @magniloquent-raven​, probably because I haven’t blown up their inboxes in like a week and it’s a way of reaching through Tumblr and checking my pulse!  XD  THANKS GUYS it was fun reading yours!

How many works do you have on AO3?

I have forty works on Ao3...but a couple of them are compilations of separate, finished fics?  If I broke those up, it would be 71 stories.  Mostly Harringrove.  Huh, that is a bigger number than I expected.  Oh!  Wait!  My other account (my weird porn practice account) has seven works, so I have 78 works on Ao3!  I am glad my FF.net fics are disregarded here XD XD XD

What’s your total AO3 word count? 

705,045 on my main account + 38,466 on my secret porny account (sssh it’s secret) gives us 743,511!  From just this year, it’s (combined) 466,978.  I have a full-time temp job through November, so that will probably taper off!

How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

Ten fandoms on Ao3, though the two Superbat fics always get weird because one is from watching the animated series, and one is making fun of the DCU, so they come up as different fandoms.  Doesn’t look that impressive, laid out like that!  A lot of my wordcount is my monster fic Strangest, at nearly 200k. 

I’ve also got several Gundam Wing WIPs on FF.net that I wrote in like 2001 and posted in 2010.  My favorite fic there got deleted in the purge and I have no copy...*sob* *wail*  It was so funny, darn it!  I bet it wouldn’t read the same to me now, but I wish I could find out!

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Baby's First Punk Rock Concert (Harringrove) is my top fic, which I credit MAINLY to @gravegroves​ art, because it was middle of the crowd until then!  It’s an AU where Billy’s mom gets him away from Neil and moves to Chicago, where he runs into Will at a very gay punk rock concert in 1984, and keeps an eye on him.  Will introduces him to Steve.

Blind as a Bat (Batman: The Animated Series) comes in second.  It led for a long time due to the age and size of the Batman fandom, but our boys Steve and Billy stole the show at last!  It’s a 5+1 fic where Superman tries to confess to Batman and Batman assumes he’s possessed, or mind-controlled, or something.  Superman nearly tears his hair out in frustration.

Strangest (Harringrove) down to third!  Oh, my heart!  My nearest and dearest knocked from first place!  My first and favorite Harringrove fic, a fixit I started in a rage after finishing season two.  After the night Bob dies, Steve finds Billy in the trunk where Max left him, and they come to a sort of truce, then friendship, and then more.

Five Conversations That Probably Happened, and One That Didn't (Teen Wolf, Sterek)  My first Sterek fic!  I suspect the only reason I have three fics with more kudos than this juggernaut of a fandom is that I wrote this as missing scenes, and it really makes more sense in and around the show.  Just reading it by itself is probably confusing...

Birdwatching for Dummies (Stranger Things) Max sees something lingering around the Hargrove house, and calls Steve in for demodog backup.  In the couple days he’s parked outside, he finds out a lot about Billy, and Billy finds out a lot about Steve.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I always reply to comments, though I may wait a few days until I have time to think about replies, or sometimes I use them as a reward to get myself to finish a chapter!  I want to thank people who are sweet enough to come up with something to say about my writing and tell me, even if it’s a keysmash or a smiley.  =D

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Hrm.  I mostly write about characters working through things or getting their lives together, so a fic where they didn’t do that would be kind of unsatisfying, I think?  My fics aren’t uncomplicatedly fluffy, but I think all the endings are happy or at least hopeful--with the possible exception of the 5+1 Teen Wolf fic, where it’s fine unless you know the very next thing to happen in the show is Stiles gets possessed, and I ended with some line like “You know I won’t turn evil on you”...ahahaha it FEELS like a happy ending though

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I like fusions more than crossovers, and the craziest (unpublished) one I’ve started writing is Stranger Things/Sailor Moon.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not really. 

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

I do!  I try to make it very, very specific to the characters and what they’re thinking and feeling, and they keep stopping to talk.  XD  Also it tends to be kind of funny, because sex is kind of a ridiculous thing to do, when you get into the details.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I doubt it!  I googled one just now, and I was surprised that a different Ao3 user came up and I didn’t, but it was just in their bookmarks with a nice comment.  ^^

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Noooo...one day, maybe!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I’ve sort of co-outlined a lot in chat, but I’ve never co-written a fic.  I’ve co-written a lot of original work with people, but the characterization on established characters is so subjective I feel like I’d keep wanting to time-out and discuss.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

Kirk and Spock, or maybe Grantaire and Enjolras?  Neither of whom I’ve written for.  I mostly can’t read and write for the same ships.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I wrote (and finished) a huge long fairytale AU back in my GW days that was this dreamy, surreal cracktastic...I don’t know what, but I lost half of it in a notebook that vanished.  Only half of it was ever posted, and to this day I can’t remember what the ending was.  I’ve never been able to duplicate the bizarre energy of the first half.

What are your writing strengths?

I like characterization and dialogue.  I’m chipping away at plot, action scenes, and sex...slowly...

What are your writing weaknesses?

I’m very, very focused, so I’ll forget things that add lovely dimension like what they’re listening to, or to describe their eyes when someone looks at them.  When I remember sometimes I’m very proud of the emotional beat it reminded me to add!

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Huh.  I never really thought about it.  I don’t like when stories are inaccessible--like I don’t want to be expected to google translate entire exchanges in order to understand--but I do like when a character uses short phrases or exclaims in a native language as a way to deepen their characterization?

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The very first I invented stories for was the animated Thumbelina, because I returned from the theater so annoyed I spent all night rewriting the story in my head.  The first fandom I wrote words down for would probably be...Gargoyles, the animated Disney show, because my BFF that I co-wrote with used characters from it.  On my own, writing and posting stories, the first was Gundam Wing, way back in the forums on the site Gundam Wing Addiction.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Oh, Strangest, definitely, forever!  Lots of thought and love dumped wholesale into that monster of a fic!

Hopefully, he will see him again. Aro is going to be my new star in my story “Allure of Darkness you can check his first lookbook here ;) @cillaben​. Micke was around the corner and came to hang out with Aro. Isn’t he a good boy, I mean he drinks water and washes the dishes afterward =D.

the oldest child born to rapunzel & flynn, and it is obvious that he took after rapunzel with his temperament

a soft soul, his smiles always reach his eyes, dimples and cheekbones are his trademarks honestly

growing up, he was always outside, playing with his mother & father & sister ( though he is more of a momma’s boy tbh )

probably made ( and currently makes ) flower crowns for himself and friends

and his strong connection to rapunzel , it’s obvious young xavier got his artistic talent from her

he constantly has paint on his fingers and hands, a sketchbook in his bag with pastels and paints and oils from all over the place

most likely has drawn everyone he’s ever met in his sketchbook and then given it to them for their birthday and/or a holiday

his parents both loved him very very much growing up, and it’s obvious in how he acts. he never hesitated to come to them if there were problems or issues with anything in his life ( friends, relationships, schooling )

xavier is ~kind of~ a partier in the sense he is ALWAYS down to go out and have fun and dance with his friends , but he rarely ever gets out of control due to substances or anything

is currently having a Crisis about his sexuality because he’s really only ever been with females but now he’s just like ... seeing a cute guy and is like wait a min.. 

he hopes to become some type of royal painter or something one day because art is truly his passion

okay so obviously, this boy is a big old softie 

he will ALWAYS drop everything he is doing to help someone out, it never matters with him

can be a little ( a lot ) on the awkward side & tries really really hard to not be but it really is just how he is and sometimes it’s endearing and sometimes it’s...like watching aladdin ( 2019 ) scene where aladdin meets jasmine the first time as prince ali .. it’s pretty bad

he is ESPECIALLY cringey when he is talking to someone attractive ( and they’re male/nb and he’s having a Crisis ) and they’re flirting with him...phew just kno that his ears ? are as red as merida’s hair

most likely will never know if someone’s taking advantage of him/using him

and when i tell you she is SPOILED omg

growing up she knew she was cute , mostly because clayton was SURE to tell her that and spoil his little girl ( xavier is a momma’s boy & cassie is for sure daddy’s little girl yikes )

so from a young age, she had a little mischievous side to her. 

it started with lil pranks on her siblings and then her dad and most of them weren’t harmful , just annoying but eventually as she went to school at the isle...she became a monster

she knew she had the innocent face so her friends ( !! wanted plot btw ) would pull pranks on other students and even some teachers

and whenever the other students would try to tell the teachers, cassie would put on a little smile and flip the narrative so she looked good and the other person didn’t. i literally can’t stand her

now in auradon, u know she’s gonna be making sh*t hit the fan whenever she gets the chance

big big disaster Bi that flirts with everyone with NO shame

so obviously cassie is somewhat of a lil monster ( not somewhat, she is a big one )

can be pretty darn manipulative depending on the situation and whether or not she will benefit from it or not

but ! she does have some redeeming qualities ! 

she is super resourceful meaning that her mind is super quick to find the easiest and most time efficient solution to a problem 

and she’s a pretty good smooth talker in bad situations, she’s known to get her friends out of a lot of sticky situations before

very very flirty okay but hates commitment lol

is pretty adventurous as well, loves the outdoors and hiking and swimming especially
