I never have the energy to queue more than like, 20 posts at once, but I HAVE kind of died over the past few months lol. College is fun but draining asf, and i've been going though alot socially and mentally. Decided to take a crack at drawing Shaw’s Hallowmas outfit for @neathyfashioncoalition ! I went with a pretty general ‘king of moths’ theme because of the whole reason Shaw’s committing to the Hallowmas celebrations - Being unable to take a break from work for even the holidays, the Black Rook is undercover snooping on the deeply Red moth court. Shhhhh… don’t tell the Queen.

Happy Christmas truce to @ovytia-art!!! ✨This is based on your first prompt:

Psychopomp AU or at least the flavourings. Danny's role is bringing the dead to the afterlife, and it's something he doesn't have control over(like a compulsion), whether he is conscious of this is up to you. Big fan of the motifs and the mythology/folklore surrounding such figures so feel free to make it as AU as you like and combine elements from real world myths and legends.

As a Greek, I had to use what I know for this, so I hope you like it!! The song is Tou Thanatou (tr: Of Death) by Greek black metal band Rotting Christ. This is a cover; the original is by Greek folk singer Nikos Xylouris. It's is a song about confronting death and having to come to terms with it - damning Death himself and cursing at Charon (in this instance these figures are talked about as one and the same, like a grim reaper type).

Phantom is wearing winged shoes, like Hermes Psychopomp, and wielding a crystal scythe. The scythe is due to the popular Grim Reaper imagery, and the fact that the scythe is crystal is a reference to Cronus/Cronos - the youngest Titan and father of the Olympian gods, who is often associated with Chronus/personification of time. I just love the headcanon of Danny as Clockwork's apprentice, so this is a nod to that! Finally, the scythe becomes the thermos - the instrument for collecting souls, this universe's version of the Grim Reaper scythe, if you will.

The ghost is not a canon character! I was going to make up a backstory for her, write a short one-shot maybe, but I ran out of time!
