it was the first time she had ever heard her mother say those words out loud. sure, she always knew that ai loved her and aqua both, deep down. but hearing her say it... her mama, her most favorite idol ever, really truly loved her...!
she was worried that if she made a huge deal about it, ai might be unwilling to say it again in the future, so she tried to play it cool. or, at least, as cool as an easily excitable girl like ruby could play it.
