Character Sheet

I've yet to complete reference sheets for all characters and OCs, and I'm going to start posting my Planes 2 fanfic series.

So I'll put some information about 'em here :)

Blade Ranger

Blade is a young male AW193 hybrid originating from the county of Lancashire, in north England. He's known for having a northern accent. He's about "as broad as they come" - and as a 'northener', he's known for skipping t's and h's and the like when it comes to pronouncing words in a sentence. Typical for people around these parts 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

His dialect often jumps between Lancashire and Mancunian 🐝 as he had spent a lot of time growing up around these areas.

He's strong, attractive, handome, hot, suave, has the most gorgeous blue eyes, and he's known for his grumpiness and short temper. As a typical Brit, he's incredibly stoic, downplays his misfortunes, and he swears...a lot

He's also the chief of Piston Peak Air Attack team, and is one lucky man to have bagged himself the most loyal AW109, who's the queen constantly by his side. He takes no shit off anyone. Anyone new who visits his base will quickly know their place in his territory. This hot ball of anger fuelled by raging testosterone is not someone you want to mess with...ever 🔥🔥🔥

Toni

A young female AW109 with the most beautiful lime green eyes 💚

She's a whole bag of personality. One moment, she's shy, timid and polite - the next, she's passionate, flirty and sassy. Her signature sass look is the rose tinted sunglasses 🕶🩷

She's the PPAA's drop-dead gorgeous secretary - who also happens to be in a fiery relationship with the Chief 😏🔥

She's gentle, caring and loving - yet smart, forward, confident, cocky and annoyingly sassy.

Bravo and Echo

Ah, the twins...Double trouble

These two Superhornets were born as identical twin brothers, raised by a pair of Superhornets from the Jolly Wrenches squadron.

This handsome pair follow their family lineage and join one of the best of the UK's Navy squadrons, the Jolly Wrenches, learning just what it takes to be with the best of the best and fighting to protect their country.

Bravo is the callsign belonging to a calm and reserved Hornet named "Steve". His modex number is 113. Echo is the callsign belonging to his twin, Daniel: a bouncy, energetic boy who's just a big kid. He has the modex code number of 210.

Bravo is known for his stoicism, calm nature and reserved temperament. Though, he can be grumpier and a little frosty ❄️ Echo is the complete opposite. He's a goofball and a total lovable idiot - but that's why we all love him. For identical twins, they sure have their differences on occasions.

The twins use their stellar instincts and honed-in skills to become two of the squadrons' best troops, taking after their parents, especially their father, who was one of the Wrenches' best Superhornets when he was in his prime.

These twins have it all. The military lineage, the best genetics, the handsome looks, amazing service records, heightened flying skills, and that toned, muscley fuselage (think Top Gun volleyball scene but plane-ified)

Delta and Sierra

Delta and Sierra - sisters from another mister. These girls are actually cousins, but they've been close their whole lives and consider themselves as sisters.

Delta is the callsign belonging to Daisy. She wears a yellow helmet adorned by loads of small daisy flowers. Her modex number is 222.

Sierra is the callsign belonging to Emily. Her helmet is the same yellow as her cousins, but decorated with small, white polka dots. Her number is 124.

These two become head over wheels for the Jolly Wrenches' most top troops, Bravo and Echo. Delta eventually becomes a pair with Echo, whilst Sierra can't resist the stoic, cool-as-ice Bravo.

These two blue-eyed babes are also pretty decent within the squadron. Not as many missions as their male counterparts, but still a fair few sorties that they've experienced together.

Micheal

Micheal is a male British Airways Concorde with blue eyes. He's young, male, handome, suave, and insanely rich. This posh supersonic jet is a certified billionaire, though he's very humble about it. He's not one of these posh snobs with a 'Buckingham Palace' London accent, oh no. Despite all the money at his disposal, he's still humble, caring, decent, and a gentleman. He loves to help his close friends if he can. He loves to treat himself and his loved ones, but will occasionally donate a little bit to charities every so often.

He's fast as well as rich. He set the world record for the fastest Concorde to travel from London Heathrow to New York airport.

He loves speed, but upon meeting a Ryanair 737 and unexpectedly falling in love, she teaches him that there's more to life than going fast. Sometimes it's good to slow down; both materially and physically.

Amy

Amy is a female Boeing 737 Max 8 with light blue eyes. She has the sexy split scimitar wingtips that are nornally seen on the 737-800's, and she wears the Ryanair livery.

Amy may be cute and small, but she has a huge heart and a big personality. She's headstrong, forward, confident and sassy.

Nothing annoys this sassy little lady more than the stupid 'Ryanair hard landing' memes, but she doesn't need to speak to stand her ground. Her perfected buttery landings are all that's needed to be said 🧈

Amy eventually meets the most humble, genuine, most handome Concorde in her life. When they eventually fall in love and become a pair, Amy learns to keep this white rocket on a short leash. She's the only one that can slow him down 🚀

Stella and Logan

The proud parents of identical twins, Bravo and Echo.

Before the kids came along, Stella and Logan were active members of the Jolly Wrenches squadron in the 1990's.

Back then, Logan was one of the best Hornets of the Wrenches in his prime, with an impeccable service history and performance record. Stella obviously saw potential in this particular male, yet still played hard to get when they first met. Now, they have two beautiful children to call their own, something that they always wanted. A family.

(I haven't created helmet designs, callsigns or modex numbers for these two yet 😭 hoping I will one day)

Others

Other characters may be mentioned in future posts, art and fanfics. Typically the Jolly Wrenches, staff at Piston Peak, and the rest of the PPAA crew. I have no developments for them as of yet

tap (Dragonsong) 

They ate mostly in silence, occasionally punctuated by chirps and trills from Enya. Though they were hardly very close to their goal, the air felt tense and strange. Isi suddenly had less appetite. The others seemed to feel it too; Robin ate slowly, picking at his food. Sierra and Holly sat with their shoulders an inch or two apart. SB’s foot tapped nervously, the sound occasionally masked by the crackling of the fire. 

Holly stood up with a jerk. Every eye turned to her. She pulled her coat more firmly around her shoulders. “I gotta… I have some herbs to collect. Medicine stuff. I think I saw a few just before we stopped.” 

Isi nodded. “Will you be alright on your own?” 

tumble (Dragonsong) (yay magic time) 

It was nothing like what she had felt with Enya. The magic here was chaos, and it was everywhere. It felt like the ocean current, the undertow that came after a wave, but warm. No, not warm. Hot. Almost a fire swirling through the air around her, not burning her but threatening to sweep her off her feet. All that kept her grounded was her hand on Fintan’s scales. 

Sierra had been the child who loved the ocean. She would let herself be swept along in its currents, dive deep and surface laughing. As much as Isi loved the ocean they had grown up with, she had always been the one with her feet planted firmly on the ground. She had been the one to fish Sierra out when she went too deep. She had preferred to let the water flow around her, but never to let it take her. 

Yet she didn’t quite want to let go of Fintan. Not just yet. There was a beauty in the fiery chaos, and it warmed her from the inside out. In the tumbling ocean, she always felt more alive. She felt the same here, alive and bright and strong. 

tear (Dragonsong) (happy tiredness!!) 

For a long moment, she and Robin just stared at each other. Tears welled in Robin’s eyes and stung Isi’s. Despite her tiredness, she couldn’t keep from smiling. 

Somewhere in the distance, dragons began to sing outside, the sound building and swelling until it was all around them. From her shoulder, Enya joined in in her high little voice. A chill ran down Isi’s spine.

Aella’s temper was beginning to boil over, and her heart still raced from the adrenaline. Laila had better be alright. The thought gave her back a tiny shred of determination. “No.” She lifted her chin. 

[Anvindr] said nothing for a second. “Fine. Let me know when you change your mind. I won’t ask again.” 

Doesn’t matter. Ma is—she’s coming, isn’t she? She has to be.

💖❌💚💙💤🌺 Marisol

💖 Has your OC ever been in love, be it romantic or platonic or otherwise? Who with and did they ever express their feelings or keep it private? How long did these feelings persist / do they still feel this way?

Marisol is the sort of woman who easily loses her heart, and she definitely is drawn to problematic men. Her first love was her high school sweetheart, Brice Mercer. He’s Quinn’s dad. They did everything so young - Quinn was born when she was 17, she and Brice got married at 18 and they split at 20. I definitely think they just outgrew each other. Brice wasn’t a bad person, their relationship was just no longer healthy.

Johnny Rhodes is a different matter. He’s Sierra’s dad. He and Marisol met when she was 21 (he’s a few years older), Sierra was born the following year and they got married quickly. She was ready to move on from Brice and ignored some serious red flags. Johnny abused her, but it was only when he lashed out at Quinn that Marisol left him, and he went to jail for assault not long after. Safe to say, she doesn’t feel anything for him anymore.

Jax Teller is Marisol’s most recent love, and it’s another turbulent one. Jax has a childhood sweetheart he never got over too, but I think Marisol helps him heal and grow in some ways. That’s not to say their relationship is without flaws.

❌ What kind of things would end any relationship for them? Is there a history behind why these things bother them? Could they ever take someone back despite this? If so or if not, why?

Abuse of any kind. After what she went through with Johnny, it’s something Marisol wouldn’t tolerate, especially for the sake of her kids.

💚 Talk about some of the traumatic events in your OC’s life. These events can be ones that have happened to them or a loved one. These events can be minor or major.

Marisol’s childhood was unstable. She didn’t know Nero all too well, and her mum definitely was interested in being more of a friend than a mother. She pushed Marisol toward Brice, and was glad when they got married and had Quinn because it meant she didn’t need to deal with being a mum anymore. She basically wanted to move on and live her life without Marisol hindering her, and she’s a big part of the reason why Marisol kept Quinn.

💙 What did your OC want to be when they grew up and why? Did they have any lifelong dreams or ambitions they never got to work on or are they currently working to achieve this dream? Has their life taken a very unexpected turn and put all these plans on hold for a while or have they given up on any dreams?

As a kid, I think Marisol actually wanted to be a lawyer. Unfortunately, when she dropped out of high school to be a mum and wife, it kind of killed that dream for her. She and Brice didn’t have the money for law school, so once she had Quinn she really stopped thinking about it. She’s happy being a secretary for Unser tbh.

💤 What was your OC like as a baby, a child and as a teen? (if your OC is a teen or a child, what will they be like as an adult?). How have they changed since then? What lessons have they learned and what things about their youth do they miss the most? Do they have any general regrets?

Marisol was a very timid child and a quiet teenager. She was very much a doormat who didn’t stand up for herself, although as she grew older and went through more shit she learned to be a lot more firm with her boundaries. She is cold to anger, not one with a fiery temper, but when she’s pissed, she’s the sort of woman to be afraid of. 

I wouldn’t say Marisol regrets having Quinn or Sierra, but she often does imagine what her life would be like if she hadn’t had kids so young.

🌺 Does your OC have any tattoos or other body art? Does their body art have any specific meaning behind it? Do they have any scars? How did they get those scars? Any birthmarks?

She has several tattoos, the most prominent of which are Quinn and Sierra’s birthdays tattooed on her ribs. She has a rose on her upper arm too.

Down a Dark Hall

A gothic boarding school. Five difficult young women with troubled pasts. One vampiric headmistress, played by the peerless Uma Thurman with a knowing dose of humor. In an ideal world, the compelling on-paper features of “Down A Dark Hall,” an adaptation of the classic 1974 Young-Adult thriller by the celebrated author Lois Duncan (of “I Know What You Did Last Summer”), would translate into engrossing chills in an entertaining horror package. Yet “Buried” director Rodrigo Cortés’ mild supernatural mystery often feels like an incomplete genre exercise; one that reluctantly tiptoes around its “Suspiria”-for-teens premise, without fully utilizing the visual possibilities and ripe thematic assets at its disposal. Somehow, neither the plentiful creaky floorboards that the story rests on nor Thurman’s spot-on, French-accented coolness manages to send shivers down the audience’s spine through this allegorical and bitterly timeless tale of female exploitation.

And yet, the aforementioned shortcomings are hardly the fault of YA, a genre that is often (wrongly) dismissed as slight and lowbrow but continues to give young female actors the rare gift of meaty parts. While this is also technically true for “Down A Dark Hall,” its script (co-written by Michael Goldbach and Chris Sparling) limits the film’s talented ensemble of players by neglecting to build them out as full-fledged characters we can slowly get to know and care about. This oversight is even the case for the film’s main protagonist Kit Gordy (AnnaSophia Robb, of “The Way, Way Back”), a challenging young woman with a fiery temper and a long history of academic suspensions.

We meet Kit on the heels of an arson attempt; while she recites an unconvincing apology to her school’s principle figures on how she’s learned a valuable lesson from her misbehavior. Her feeble appeal falls on the deaf ears of her desperate parents and unimpressed educators—soon, Kit finds herself at the alarming gates of the vast and eerie Blackwood Boarding School, run by the peculiar Madame Duret (Thurman). The headmistress, who carries faint echoes of Warden Norton (of “The Shawshank Redemption”) and Reverend Mother (of “Novitiate”), calls Blackwood “an alternative to prison,” where problematic girls like Kit would somehow achieve greatness in what she considers the four main pillars of knowledge: mathematics, literature, art and music. Except, none of the five financially privileged students—yes, there are only five of them—abandoned at the mysterious mansion by their families (including Kit, a barely moderate piano player), seem particularly gifted in any subject.

But then again, perhaps they are. Soon enough, Sierra (Rosie Day) starts churning out landscape masterpieces in the vein of the 19th Century artist Thomas Cole. Under the guidance of Jules (Noah Silver), Madame Duret’s dreamboat son who teaches music, Kit rises to the occasion as an astonishing pianist. In the meantime, the sharp Izzy (Isabelle Fuhrman of “The Orphan”) and the relatively agreeable Ashley (Taylor Russell) ace the remaining subjects. Each of the girls goes through a frightening, trance-like state when outperforming their newfound talents while the hard-edged Veronica (Victoria Moroles, a standout), the only unaffected one of the bunch, stands her ground with anger in front of a disapproving Madame Duret. As the ensemble’s talents start to prove dangerously self-destructive, the story’s supernatural dimension comes into earnest focus, paying off the title card that prefaces the film: “Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story…” Homer, The Odyssey

When the source of the students’ implausible gifts is finally disclosed after Kit’s bravely high-risk investigations through restricted rooms and dusty bookshelves, the impact of the reveal feels neither frightening nor shocking. While the entire young cast delivers deeply committed and convincing performances in the shoes of distressed teenagers, “Down A Dark Hall” invests little time towards unlocking the cause of their individual adolescent agonies. Similarly, Cortés’ film doesn’t concern itself nearly enough with the bond that forms among the group of girls, watering down the significance of their eventual union of survival against the evils of their boarding school. Blackwood’s dimly lit, claustrophobic chambers and wind-swept curtains render adequately ghostly, and the escalating visual effects manage to bring abundant gothic creepiness to life. Still, the temporary pleasures of “Down A Dark Hall” prove to be as suddenly forgettable as the girls’ illusory faculties.

A fiery and intense glare pierced through the atmosphere, directed towards the individual in question. Who was she to tell him what to do? Already the flyer could sense the tension in his muscles, but at least his temper was not rising yet.

Pterano said to avoid drawing unnecessary attention towards them while they are here.

Easier said than done with that repulsive attitude from the inhabitants of the great valley and if that wasn’t enough, this overgrown egg had the audacity to confront him like that?

“How about you,“ Sierra gestures towards the other with a claw, his voice giving away a hint of venomous disdain, “get lost instead, squirt?”

There. No threats. And while his tone is aggressive, he still manages to maintain a level of composure in that situation. But if the brat won’t listen to his advice, it could change any time.

Pah. At least Pterano couldn’t accuse him of not showing self-restraint.

His presence is … tolerated?

Everyone else I would have left behind. They would only hold you back from the larger ambitions in life. Most aren’t able to keep up in the first place. It’s either that or getting into fights with someone else. As for him? He is still sticking around no matter the violence. I can respect that.

I saw him as nothing but a coward at first. But there is more to him than the first impression. Loathe as I am to admit it, his cunning is what got us this far in the first place. Besides, he is not as weak as he might seem at first glance. He can fend for himself, that’s for sure. What I don’t get is why he even bothers. He had many opportunities to leave me behind. He could have just let me have a go at Pterano - it’s not like it would get him into trouble.

I don’t mind sticking around for a while longer. Perhaps not just because of our shared goals but It’s not every day that someone‘s presence doesn’t make you want to punch their face into the ground.

I like Sierra because he IS impulsive and would beat you up without a second though or throw you under the bus and likely not the type to get close to someone or stick around for long but?

There definitely is a genuine attachment to Rinkus of some sort for some reason. It says a lot when Rinkus holds him back and he doesn’t try to attack him instead during that. All he tries is to climb over him. It says a lot when he tries to attack pretty much everyone else in the movie but he didn’t try to attack Rinkus even once. It says a lot when he just keeps listening to Rinkus. Riled up over Ducky and ready to fight with Pterano? Rinkus suggestion is to leave her behind since nobody is coming and he calms and briefly considers. It says a lot when during the movie Rinkus actually has the ability to keep Sierra‘s temper in check - Sierra does not even complain about it.and then there is of course that moment of shock when Rinkus falls.
