i just finished watching pink lie, which is a korean dating show where the contestants introduce themselves with a fake name and hide something apparently “big” about themselves that results to some of them lying about their occupation, age etc. At the end they revealed all their secrets and i got so mad bc the level of the secrets were so different that it was unfair to the others that shared something deeper. they did my girl hanui so dirty she literally revealed that she was an adult actor and how negatively it affected her after to the point where she hadn’t dated for 6 years and another girly was like my parent are so rich i’ve never worked a day in life and get an allowance of 15 million a month, like girl bfr.      park   hwayoung,   the   youngest   daughter   of   the   coveted   family   had   been   the   epitome   of   wealth   the   moment   she   attended   one   of   her   family's   grand   openings   for   the   first   time.   she   was   nineteen   then,   and   immediately   captured   the   media's   attention.   with   beauty   that   could   rival   that   of   the   time's   most   popular   idols   and   actresses,   it   was   no   surprise   that   she   became   the   object   of   many   chaebol's   affections.   hwayoung   was   interested   in   none   of   it,   completly   interested   in   those   who   think   showering   her   in   gifts   would   be   enough   to   call   her   their   own.   she   was   only   interested   in   going   to   college—   yonsei   university,   to   be   exact,   and   it's   there   that   she   meets   her   future   husband,   lim   jiwoon.

      hanui,   quickly   nicknamed   honey   by   her   family,   instantly   became   the   apple   of   everyone's   eye.   the   only   granddaughter,   hanui   is   instantly   shown   what   it   means   to   be   spoiled.   no   matter   what   she   wants,   she   barely   has   to   ask   before   it's   in   her   possession.   most   might   say   it's   bad   to   spoil   a   child   to   this   extent,   but   the   little   girl   still   knew   what   it   meant   to   be   grateful   for   everything   she   ever   received.   as   a   teen,   growing   up   in   the   beginning   era   of   youtube   vlogs,   hanui   grew   an   instant   attraction   to   it.   she   loved   watching   her   favorite   youtubers   show   off   their   lifestyles,   so   why   couldn't   she   do   the   same?   it's   shortly   after   her   seventeenth   birthday,   after   being   gifted   a   camera,   that   hanuihoney   is   born.   

      at   first,   hanui   is   a   little   nervous   to   show   her   face,   due   in   part   to   which   family   she   came   from.   she   was   showing   the   intimate   parts   of   her   life   from   the   four   corners   of   her   bedroom,   and   when   she   whould   go   out   with   her   equally   wealthy   friends.   it's   when   she's   twenty   that   hanui   does   a   face   reveal,   and   after   garnering   1m   subscribers   in   her   first   few   years   without   showing   her   face,   that   number   skyrockets   even   higher   once   she   finally   does   so.   it's   not   unheard   of   for   someone   with   a   high   following   to   become   the   face   of   a   brand,   and   this   happens   with   hanui.   she   goes   from   a   social   media   star   to   having   her   face   on   a   billboard   in   seemingly   no   time,   and   as   her   own   wealth   grows,   hanui   figures   it's   time   to   start   living   on   her   own.

      after   much   discussion   with   her   family,   hanui   leaves   south   korea   behind   to   land   in   new   york,   where   she   looks   for   greater   opportunities.   she   finds   her   place   in   the   social   scene   of   new   york,   and   gets   invited   to   fashion   week   for   the   first   time,   where   she   makes   a   memorable   splash.   it's   been   about   five   years   since   hanui   moved   to   new   york,   and   while   she   attempts   to   not   end   up   on   reputation.com,   she's   failing   miserably.

HEADCANONS.

hanui's   parents   divorced   when   she   was   twenty   one,   which   had   become   the   gossip   of   the   year.   there   had   been   problems   in   their   relationship,   and   sadly,   most   of   it   was   stemming   from   hwayoung's   selfishness.   growing   up   spoiled   much   like   her   own   daughter,   hwayoung   was   a   woman   who   could   never   see   more   than   just   herself   at   times.   when   they   divorced,   jiwoon   attempted   to   keep   things   civil,   but   their   relationship   unfortunately   could   not   be   salvaged.   

hanui's   social   media   handles   are   a   play   on   "honey   honey".   when  it   comes   to   her   content,   she   has   always   been   classified   as   more   of   a   lifestyle   content   creator.   when  she   first   began,   she   wouldn't   show   her   face   aside   from   glimpses   of   it   every   so   often.   most   could   consider   her   as   a   "faceless"   youtuber,   but   the   day   she   did   a   full   face   reveal,   her   social   media   blew   up   even   more.

above   all   else,    she's   a   socialite.   she   loves   going   to   events,   private  or   public,   and   she  especially   will   have   her   camera/phone   with   her   where   permitted.   she's   not   too   keen   on   filming   in   public   unless   it's   a   branded   video,   but   she  will   if   it   goes   with   the   content   she's   posting.   

she   doesn't   like   to   cook,   but   when   she   does,   she   loves   to   make   traditional   korean   foods.   despite   growing   up   with   wealth,   if   there   was   one   thing   her   mother   made   sure   of,   it   was   that   she   cooked   meals   for   her   family.   her   favorite   meals   are   jajangmyeon,   ramyeon,   and   bulgogi.   if   asked,   hanui   would   cook   for   people   when   coming   by   her   home   or   if   invited   to   a   potluck   /   friendsgiving.

personality   wise—   she's   known   as   someone   who's   able   to   get   what   she   wants   with   the   point   of   a   finger   or   bat   of   a   lash.   she   has   a   strong   interest   in   people   as   a  whole   regardless   of   their   identifying   gender.   she's   a   jealous   person,   and   doesn't   like   when   someone   she's   interested   in   has   another   person   in   their   ear.   

she's   more   than   likely   the   one   who   burns   bridges   with   former   friends,   but   somehow   always   has   a   reason   for   doing   so.   she   dislikes   being   told   what   to   do   and   hasn't   shaken   the   desire   for   confrontation.   hanui   unfortunately   has   twitter   fingers,   but   she   at   least   provides   receipts   to   back   up   whatever   she   says.   she's   very   shady,   like   real   housewives   kind   of   shady,   but   she   will   do   it   straight   to   someone's   face.   hanui   is   known   for   her   resting   bitch   face,   which   is   not   a   façade   to   who   she   really   is.

Hi Digi! So sorry to bother but I was wondering if you or any talented people in our community could help bring the infamous zinny hair back to life? Possible "remake" it? A potential mashup? I cannot stand the hat version 😭

I'm laughing so hard, what are the chances for this? I was literally talking with old Sim friend and we reminisced about old stupid drama - including all the drama about this particular hair. We also wondered if anybody even remembers that hair anymore since it's been so long and neither of us had seen any WCIFs for it for few years. And then I open tumblr and this sits in my ask box. 😂

But to answer your question: It's not impossible. All you'd need is to take the bottom layers of the hat version and create or find suitable top part for it.

(edited to add: I decided to put the rest under the cut since it's seriously pretty long reply. To sum it up, I think it's possible to recreate something similar but the original is very likely lost forever. I'm not in the headspace to take this kind of project on right now though, sorry ^^; )

Now that all said: a lot of how that hair looks like is done purely with texture as in the mesh itself is just few big chunks and the rest of the look is achieved with texture. That's just how they created hairs in the good old super-low-poly times.

Since pictures likely explain this better than words here's the hat version in milkshape, first with just the mesh, then with the wireframe, texture with wireframe and lastly with just the texture to show how much of the shape is purely texture:

so it's highly dependent on the texture for the look. Retextures likely wouldn't look anything like the original. So while yes, making similar mesh is possible it likely would look completely different unless you used Zinny's original (on nowadays standards crusty looking) textures.

I've actually been thinking that Sizz's Hanui hair looks very similar to this hair. I mean, look at them side to side:

Literally just flip the Sizz one around and it's almost the same hair:

Not saying either copied the other one (+ I don't even know which one is older) but it's just funny coincidence that they are so similar. All that said I think the closest we'd get to the Zinny hair would be to just edit the Sizz hair instead or to borrow top from the Sizz hair and put it on the Zinny hair bottom.

For now I have to say that I'm not touching this sort of project though, I'm just not in the headspace for battling with hair meshes. + I have a feeling that even if remake existed people would still be clamoring for the original since it's so "exclusive" and rare (and likely completely unavailable by now unless someone who had it has it stored on their backup hard drive or something. But overall the chances that the original will pop up somewhere are likely below 0.)

the music is pulsating, shaking the walls and making the edges of his vision vibrate. the party has been in full swing for awhile now, with the pledges finishing the formalities and finally having the opportunity to let loose. dongmin has never particularly been a big partier (he spends many nights just tapping away at his laptop, getting his ducks in a row, always preparing for something), and thus despite all of his seemingly sociable disposition, he’s always a little at a loss at parties. 

at parties, people are unpredictable. there aren’t any pre-rehearsed scripts or designated times for handshakes. instead, it’s as if it’s a never ending free-for-all, where anyone and anything is fair game. the silver-lining (if there is one) lies in the fact that everyone is shedding their walls, letting their defenses trickle down with each shot they toss back. 

and it seems that dongmin is not exempt from having his own defenses dropped.

as he’s walking about, trying to make out the faces through the flashing lights and the haze, he barely has enough time to process the hand that is careening straight towards his face. in fact, he isn’t even able to defend himself before the hand collides right at the bridge of his nose. even though he can’t see whoever collided with him (and is currently slurring out drunken apologies), he gets a peculiar feeling of deja vu.

“it’s fine, it’s fine, fuck, i think i’m bleeding--” 

and as he’s trying to stop his nose from bleeding out all over everyone’s designer heels, his attacker yanks him across the room despite his protests, leading both of them to stumble through the women’s restroom door (“hey! do you know where you’re going???” he calls out, but he goes unheard). once they’ve crossed the threshold, he’s then covered in a flurry of tissues that he struggles to catch with his free hand that is not pinching his nose closed to prevent him bleeding out in a public restroom.

it’s in between these sheets of tissue that dongmin gets a good look at his attacker. there’s something so familiar about her that stirs something in the deepest parts of his chest. it’s dark and brewing and it’s been locked away for Years. he’s looking dead into the eyes of someone he never thought he’d see again--no, he hoped he would never see again.

“of course it would be you,” he manages around the other person’s frantic hands throwing tissues at him. “history really does repeat itself, huh?”
