Post-cage Sam speaking Enochian is SO important to me. He wakes up speaking in a language dean can’t understand. His English is slowed, and choppy. He forgets words in English while in the middle of conversation. Enochian isn’t meant to be spoken by humans and speaking it scrapes Sam’s throat but he can’t help it when all he sees everywhere is Lucifer Lucifer Lucifer taunting him even when blood pools tacky in his mouth.

This might be one of my favorite doodles I’ve ever made! LMAO- It’s inspired by that one scene in Dungeon Meshi where Chilchuck says, “The common language doesn’t have enough curse words!” and proceeds to cuss out Laios in varying tongues.

I think the idea of Cass doing that to Dean in enochian is simply too funny-

Wish that the writers had done more for Cas having names for things in enochian. Like the fact that he calls it his “angel blade” you know there’s gotta be a technical term for that in enochian. Or are we to believe that he is so whipped that when Dean Winchester coins a term for something, even something he has had for a millennia, he calls it whatever Dean calls it?

Ok imagine Sam and Castiel talking about some random angel-related problem, and Dean's half listening but he suddenly sits bolt upright because Sam and Castiel have slipped into Enochian. And are seemingly unaware of this fact. Eventually they switch back to English. They keep switching, all unaware, and gradually Dean realizes that they're switching whenever they need a word that their current language doesn't have. (also imagine that Sam speaks a somewhat archaic form of Enochian because Lucifer wasn't around for the eons during which the language changed - slowly, but it still changed - and Castiel finds his phrasing and accent beautiful)

*practically vibrating* OOOOOMG! This is like at the center of most of my "Sam speaks Enochian" headcanons and imagines!

Okay, but hear me out. (Sorry, about to make it angsty.) Lucifer and Michael were pretty much his ONLY sources for learning it. So he learned what he heard from them. I'd imagine there might be a few gaps in his knowledge, due to some subjects just never coming up when they were all down there.

So, one time Sam and Cas are conversing and Cas uses a word in Enochian and Sam gives him a quizzical look. Cas realizes he doesn't know that word. And he connects the dots and realizes why. And his expression softens with a hint of sadness. "Love. It means love, Sam."

I love the angst that comes with Sam speaking Enochian but also imagine how it could work to Sam and Castiel's advantage. The two nearly getting caught somewhere they shouldn't be and start talking about the weather in Enochian while pretending to be lost. Also what if they just shouted Enochian words at monsters to throw them off? I'm sure the two have actual spellwork and such that could help them but in the moment they're shouting whatever word comes first to mind and sometimes that word is apple. Also Sam would be so petty in Enochian. He's petty in every language. But when Dean tries forcing Sam to do the research and telling him to just give him the debrief which Sam does, it's in Enochian. But he throws in the most useless information in English. Flipping between the two enough for Dean to question his ears before questioning Sam especially because Sam is pretending to not know why Dean isn't understanding him and just throws him his notes since apparently the debrief just isn't working. Bonus points when Cas joins in and asks Dean if he's okay. I feel like we don't play around with this idea enough.

A Leap Of Faith

After having given up all hope, Gabriel finds himself miraculously rescued from Asmodeus' vile clutches. But he is far from healthy and whole, and he can barely care for himself. Gabriel knows that he needs the help of another, but he finds the words almost too painful to speak.

Sam knows some of what Gabriel endured at the hands of a monster. And he also knows that he could never permit another to linger in darkness when there is something that he could do about it. He agrees to Gabriel's reluctant request, and then proceeds to show the archangel that anything is possible, if you only have a little faith.

I am so happy to have been paired up with @midnightsilver once again, so that we could bring you this wonderful story. Written for the @spnsabrielbang it was inspired by a gorgeous piece of art that showed Sam caring for the recently liberated Gabriel as they grow closer than they ever have been before. of course , she uses it to summon her infernal demons , but if she starts speaking it all of a sudden , she risks attracting angels to her location and starting a fight she's not prepared for .
