Kaede knew not every situation was the same. Some kids acted exactly like their parents, some the opposite; and some like his daughter took inspiration from what she saw her dad doing and made it into something else. He wasn’t anything like his own dad because his dad had been trying to deal with running a business but it took too much of his life away and Kaede saw how much it hurt his own father. He didn’t want to be like that. He wanted to make up for the time his father lost. It was why he was the he that he was with his own daughter

Wes’ face softened as he listened to Kaede speak, a little smile pull onto his lips as well. He knew he hadn’t been given a good example of how to be a good father but he felt he was doing an okay job at figuring it out. It was a bit scary to think about his kids taking after him, but he wasn’t going to lie about it being a sweet thought of Elise loving to read and draw as much as he did.

“Well it’s something my daughter’s tested several times without even realizing I guess.” He joked, recounting all the times she’d pulled poor Aurora’s tail.

 “So let me get this straight.” Mr Nightwing pinched the bridge of his nose, looking tired before motioning to Mr. Jason. “You were in a Pit episode, which if I remember right usually causes you to rampage-” Well that was rude. “-and instead of that happening it somehow latched onto them-” Mr Nightwing motioned towards them. “And now you’re… co-parenting. With the Pit rage.” Honestly he didn’t understand why Mr Nightwing was having so much trouble understanding. Mr. Pit (“Y’know what, we’re stealing our host’s middle name, call us Peter.”) was really nice and bundled them up in blankets even though they were failed clones and should have been terminated, and Mr Jason was really nice too and made them food, not the icky mush!
