something ive noticed thats fun about more recent characters added to Duel Links is they get not just their one game start-up soundbite of them hollering 'YUGIOH DUEL LINKS!' but also a second random start-up soundbite more specific to that particular character, usually a little quote or phrase (see: WHOA SO THIS IS YUGIOH DUEL LINKS, Dennis gets a "ITTTT'S SHOWTIME!!", etc)

anyway i dont even know this guy very well yet but Spectre's is BONKERS??!? IF I BOOT UP MY GAME AND I HEAR THIS IM TURNING OFF MY DAMN COMPUTER

The entire notion of this place was completely and utterly detestable to the man. Loki was pulled from the thralls of his world and was stranded with cheap toys and worse - stripped of his defenses as if he was unworthy of his own achievements.

The key he had been given was simple enough. Though he scoffed at the scale of these establishments, he supposed it would have to suffice.

The key fit in the door and into the villa he entered. Minimally furnished and of a mix of blues and browns. Not to his taste in the slightest - how did Midgardians live in such suffocating spaces.

ㅤthere's hair all over the floor, tears in their eyes, and a pair of broken scissors on the far end of the room. put simply: a disaster. an emotional and reckless decision made into an even bigger mistake by a hand that wasn't steady enough to do a proper job. byan is a wreck, still worked up after the events of the day, and now doubly so after getting a look at themself in the mirror. in this distressed state, over all the hiccoughing and mutters which curse themself out, they don't hear the footsteps approaching the bathroom until it's too late — the door swings wide, breaking them away from scrubbing palms over their eyes with an alarmed start. reacting on instinct, a foot kicks out hard, trying to shove the door back over as an icy cold panic creeps out from within their chest.

Also given the fact that he entered a contract with Charlie, a character with TONS of love and care in her heart, probably doesn't help with that since she is massively more powerful than him and being in a contracted deal with ANYONE has to be effective on a spiritual level. Two caring hearts infecting a near stone of a heart and growing it Grinch-style.. This is the only way here can be any emotional growth for him I think, lmao. Forced Spiritual Emotional Daily Vitamin Therapy. But, that's just my headcanon / view of him. He was a mama's boy and again, he genuinely does care for Mimzy & Rosie, so he's not ennnnntirely heartless (idk if the comics are canon anymore, but he was implied to look after women in those and that helps, but idk anymore), there's something there to work with them.

Alastor is a very cruel and callous individual attached to two lifelines who are overflowing with feeling in the positive aspect, especially when it comes to being their connections with others. You rip these IVs out of him, with him fulfilling his contract with Charlie to rid himself of her and him somehow getting his soul back from Niffty, and you either have a man who was forced through exposure therapy of the Friendship Is Magic Kind and it has left lasting effects. Effects he'll have to live with for the rest of his days now like the Grinch, and he's all jumbled up about it,

Or we wind up with the nightmare that he is promising he is going to be once he's free. The one who broadcasted torture and death over the radio.

Mimzy said he has not done any of that in a while, so it leaves room to headcanon if the reason for that is because he made a contract with Niffty, who came down in the 50s.

all this to say: man wants out of that deal w/niffty very badly bc it's now actively messing with his whole life. he was chill before, but no more!
