🦐 - Weirdest Pokemon interaction you've ever had at work
The strangest battle i had at the gym involved a pair of plusle and minun. The trainers wanted to challenge the gym together and they were like, 10? So we allowed it. They absolutely WRECKED our gym.
They did not have any badges, so we went easy on them at first, but i was battling them as the third gym trainer (which is an exception as well) and even went as far as fighting with the Kalosian who is way too powerful for a 1st gymbadge challenge. She barely took a single thunder shock from minun before the plusle knocked her out.
According to the registration, these two were determined as around level 15 mind you (i do not remember the exact value). I'm still wondering how they are doing today. - Olivia
Damn Olivia your phone is giagiantic. holy shit. anyways. I also won't tell about the café, because this story is just too cute.
When i was still living with my parents and helping out at their farm, there was that time that the old Monarch Vespiquen died (from old age, nothing dramatic), and a new one had to emerge to take her place. So our current Monarch stepped up and evolved and it was a whole process.
The important part is: the Monarch Vespiquen is part Beedrill, which makes her incredibly powerful, very big and very fierce looking. So, my parents have 4 hives. each has a queen, but one of them is the "monarch", which means she coordinates not only her hive but also instructs the other queens on what to do with their hives. It's rare that such a dynamic forms, but it happens sometimes if there is an abundance of flowers and stuff in a condensed area.
So usually, whenever a new queen emerges from any hive, there is gonna be some quarrel between the established queens to see if she's worthy, ESPECIALLY if it's a new monarch. But not this time. The new hybrid-vespiquen was just... accepted. The others took a look at her and were like "yep, not gonna try anything with this girl".
So, she emerged, went on a small rampage and overthrew the old monarchs plans or something, fought of a bunch of wild ursaring trying to get the honey and shit like that. We all thought nothing in the world could stop her. We weren't even sure if we could get to the hives while she was reigning, because she was also a little bit wary of us and chased us away. Like, yeah sure, adjustment period and all that, but you never know with hybrids.
And then, like a month later it's the peak of summer, and there's a fucking thunderstorm. And i'm just there, sleeping in my bed, and suddenly, i wake up and hear something banging against my window. There's no trees near the house, if something like that happens, it HAS to be a pokémon. And yes, it was. Exodia, our Golurk, was trying to get my attention. I open the window, and it holds its hands to the window, and in there sits the most WET SOBBING NOODLE of a Vespiquen you've ever seen. The monarch. She's absolutely fucking terrified of the thunderstorm. The same girl who was accepted as the chosen one by 3 other vespiquen. The same girl who fought off 4 grown ass Ursaring just DAYS after she evolved. And she came to me to help her calm down. She spent the night with me and then returned home after the storm calmed down as if nothing ever happened.

I made a few new wax seal stamps out of clay (like the ones I did for my worldbuilding stuff forever ago), this time just of random symbols that I thought might look good done in the style of painting over the raised part of the wax or etc. :0c Some of them aren't carved deep enough to really show up that well, but overall they worked okay for being clay lol
#wax seal#crafts#wax stamp#stationery#Window one is kind of stinky.. I was imagining like a swirly night sky sort of looking thing so it would be a surreal contrast of a night#sky with a window in the middle that shows a daytime sky - but the silver and purple wax kind of mixed too much together#with the black and it just looks very plain black and not all that starry or anything hjbhj.. Of course the eye is probably my favorite#since all I ever do is draw eyes and still like eye imagery for some reason. The four leaf clover is very lumpy and skrunkty but also it wa#the smallest in size out of all of them so was easier to do multiple stamps of just to try it out.#The heart with eyes wax is actually more swirly in person. I wanted it to be a mix of light pink and red and white. and the wax#did kind of all blend together but in person you can definitely see MORE of the intentional swirlyness. in this it just looks plain pink.#I was going to do one eye in the heart but it looked weird. but now two seems too plain. i could have done 3?? in a pattern.. hmm#alas. I wish I could make actual metal ones. With the clay i have to paint them in a thin layer of olive oil before stamping because#otherwise the wax just kind of gets stuck in the grooves of the clay and then you can't pull it up. Very wacky ''unprofessional'' looking#set up where I'm hot gluing circles of sculpey clay to short stumps of a wooden dowel that I sawed apart with a serrated bread knife#and then using an old paintbrush to put olive oil on them whilst holding a spoon over a yankee candle flame hjbjh#ANYWAY.. I think if I were middle class/rich/etc. this would be one of the main things in my crafting room is like.. SO many colors#of wax. and all different custom made stamps designed by me. which could be much more elaborate in actual metal.. muahaha.... >:)c#RHGghhh... I actually don't want to talk much about it since (this is probably just my Obsessed With My Own World Artist Delusions) I#think I have a really cool idea for a game that could genuinely be successful if i ever get to make it and I don't want to give#everything away and spoil the whole plot/concept in hopes that one day I can actually do it - BUT - a game that I'd like to make after the#visual novel I'm making now has partially to do with the main character working as a sort of writer/scribe/artist assistant in an elven#city (set in my world/with my worldbuilding species and versions of elves and etc) and I was thinking of maybe incorporating#somehow being able to collect little writing type items like these like.. you can get different wax seal patterns or pens or etc. when I do#stuff like this in Real Life it always makes me think of that like.. ouh... this is good research.. what it shall be like to be a littol#elf collecting wax seals and such.. indeed... GRR i need to be finished with my current game NOWWW... i MUST work on other#thingss... aughh... ANYWAY.. yay. accomplishment to do One Single Thing other than Sit In The Summer Heat And Rot#though also hilarious as this was the first cool-ish day that was below 80F in a while hgvh#waking up like 'wow.. i actually feel okay today?? like I could do things?? how mysterious.. I wonder why..?? :0'' Its The Weather You Fool#Tis Always The Weather

The MODERN MIRAN SCRIPT. Basically the continuation of the old school Chimeric that I covered in this post. That has most of the nitty gritty and this is more so about the branch of the language. The BIG info dump below the cut!
Chimeric is the original, a purely written language used by chimera when talking is unavailable. Written in a circle heading inwards with two defined lines of dialogue. The subject/action 'real' substance and the tonal, emotional intent of the writer and sometimes reader. Chimeric is still used by the remaining population to talk within their ranks, but nearly every chimera is at least bilingual depending on where they ended up. Back in Mirum the written language of Chimeric stayed behind but has been pretty heavily modified to better suit the reading style of the people that remained. Mainly Histin who cut out pretty much all the fluff and added a bit more structure.
So! As opposed to the radial style of Chimeric, Miran has double decker sentences. With the top row being the remnants of the Subject quarter and the bottom row being the Action quarter. Linkage of subjects and actions take place between the two lines. Plus there is a new form of linkage, the priority/influence links which show which subject is acting upon who, and define action sequences. While Chimeric is written inwards radially, Miran is written top to bottom, starting going from left to right then right to left and alternating down the page. Also circular paper is swapped for rectangular, think a standard 8x10. Still, you are expected to enclose sentences within two parentheses, lil hold over from the circular days. But to the outside perspective the largest difference between the two is their tones, or well overtonage of one and lack of tone in the other. Chimeric is the 3 paragraph overly detailed text, Miran is the single word response. Lest to say they do not mesh super well.
ANOTHER fun hold over I want to add but am still thinking over characters for is that for rare fancy words (poetry/music/heart speak) Miran can slide in a THIRD ROW in between the first and second. There the spoken tone quarter manages to eek out a meager Miran existence through a few dozen sets of characters to convey certain emotions and the like. Songs in Miran very often have multiple sets of lyrics overlaid in this fashion, the largest can have 5+ tonal rows.
Oh that reminds me! Miran DOES have a spoken equivalent. Or rather, the original shared Histin/Diagrevies language has been stretched over to fit better with the written word. That in itself has split the spoken word in Mirum in two once more, with spoken Miran and Draconic being the two main talkings. Histin typically only speak and read Miran, whilst Diagrevies will speak both; with their preference being draconic. A Diagrevies will typically have a Histin under their employ to read and write for them since ya know, they cannot see.
All this taken into consideration though, Miran and Chimeric are still basically two ways of writing the same basal language. Not that modern speakers like to admit that. But small character additions and style changes aside, if you can read one you can get the gist of the other. Miran is by far the most spoken in modern times tho. Its a little more accessible for different species than Chimeric.
Want to get more into the modern Mirum dealings. The chimera may be absent but their influence is still very plain to see if you know where to look.
#yay i missed drawin all these guys#chimera#histin#diagrevies#kinda#they dont get the writing unfortunately#no true north#worldbuilding#conlang#art#mirum

Actually I'm gonna lay out the full rules of it:
Magic = reused potential. Seeds work, fertilized chicken eggs work, both are fairly common materials to have on hand.
What you can do is restricted by the size and lifespan of the thing that would have been made. With a chicken egg, you can manipulate up to a chicken's size of material, up to a chicken's lifespan of change. So you could grow a small tree 10 years' worth of time, but you couldn't make a diamond that'd take a million years.
Dead eggs/seeds/etc won't work. You boil an egg, you grind wheat into flour, you've used its potential up for something else. Don't let them go bad.
You can use these to extend your lifespan, so long as you've gotten the proper mass ratio. Like, a chicken lives for 10 years, but it's a 5lb chicken. If you're 200lbs, it takes 40 eggs to give you an extra 10 years of life. In tree terms, an acorn can give you a few centuries, provided you got the right kind of seed; they've got more potential, but they're less consistent, because while a chicken is generally uniform in size/shape, a tree is going to be different every time.
Dragon egg = practically immortal.
People can technically also be used, but that's horrible and illegal. Use of already-living things for their potential is both considered cruel and inconsistent; a pig halfway through its life only has half left to offer, but that other half is also based on its current health. So if it's a pig with a heart problem, its potential is impacted by how much that heart would take away.
Wherever anything dies that had a lot of potential, their natural magic goes stagnant and lingers. So lumberyards, butcher houses, and warzones tend to accumulate a lot of stagnant magic. Overtime, the stagnant magic gets absorbed and repurposed, but if too much death happens in a condensed area that can't handle the magic, the area gets cursed.
Cursed areas give rise to undead. Ghosts are echoes of the potential that was lost, zombies are bodies that are trying to cling to their potential, etc. They claw for natural magic and the corruption spreads. This is most common on battlefields that saw a lot of bloodshed.
Stagnant magic is what lets people use necromancy. You can control it in order to puppet the things it clings to, or you can use it to heal things, as injuries bleed magic that quickly turns stagnant.
Turning stagnant land viable again involves an arduous process of rewilding and spending. You use up the stagnant magic, then replace it with live magic. Whichever one is in excess is the one that takes over.

remember null? well after lore progression and violence he regained his true self now
say hi to narrow (or, nicknamed by hana, anguria which means watermelon in italian)
lore rambling in the tags because i'm not assed to write it here
#tenka willow#my sona#oc:narrow#my ocs#my art#i never said it here cus i have null's lore only written in my art fight but in VERY short words#null was basically a chimera made by anemone out of the cast-away guardian Narrow and willow#whose purpose was to eradicate a whole species in the realm whom both willow and anemone despise#anemone inserted a chip into null's body so that he ONLY focused on eradicating that species#because it was the destiny himawari gave to willow. even tho that was basically genocide#so hana and a few others worked together to try to beat anemone's ass (and failed)#however anemone told them the placement of the chip after his ass being kicked a bit#then after that they beat null's ass. and got the chip out. and he regained his true self. YAY!!!!!!!!!#now they're probably gonna be on a quest to find narrow's actual body.............#which is cast away for thousands of years in another planet#being dormant. for so long. so basically narrow is an old man#his actual form is supposed to be a salamander-fish thing i guess#anyways um this is explained very briefly and vague if you have more questions do ask#i literally don't post about lore shit here ever 😭😭i have so much worldbuilding i didn't tell anyone but my brother

Canon worldbuilding lore on the MCU Kree to help you with your fanfic
They rule over multiple planets. Hala is the capital.
Hala's star is called Pama
In the comics there are around five known planets in Hala's system - it's unclear if Hala is 4th or 5th planet because it's been confused with another planet, Turunal.
Hala is located in the Larger Magellanic Cloud
Hala had oceans and forests (rip to those tho lol)
Leader of the Empire is called the "Supremor"
The Supreme Intelligence was basically god
The collective is one idea of the afterlife — if your brain is worthy it joins the Supreme Intelligences database when you die.
The spiritual afterlife is called the Etherplex or something idk
Their technology is somewhat water based (need more info on this)
Architecture is heavy on metal and stone and is very geometric. Buildings are detailed but there generally isn't too much furniture.
Cyan and purplish lights for a big chunk of Hala, golden lights for the Supreme Intelligence.
No hanging paintings... If you want art you have to hire someone to paint your wall lol
Starforce generally have one room apartments, I couldn't see a kitchen in them.
Stuff like wardrobes, book shelves, cupboards and drawers are more likely to be inserted into the wall to save space.
Like Carol literally lived in a single room with a bed, nightstand and a hexagonal cup. The ideal female living space.
They have hexagonal cups (I just thought that was cute)
The military is a big deal! Other respectable careers involve teaching, medicine, typically intelligent jobs that give something to society.
Kids are trained from a young age in the military. They're called "recruits". There's a deleted scene of Yon-Rogg teaching some.
The military hierarchy is likely Supremor > Accuser > Starforce > Kree Army > Non Kree Army > War slaves.
The Accusers aren't just extra bad military. They uphold the law, make arrests, hold trials, decide punishments, etc. I'd imagine that this is typically done for more important criminals or prisoners of war. That's why Dar-Benn holds an Accuser hammer as Supremor — she's upholding the law.
Kree Law is vaguely structured around the Tablets of Koth — they aren't definitive but they are the main basis.
Questioning your leaders is technically illegal
The worst crime of all is being "un-Kree".
Kree supremacy is big. In the comics it's illegal for Kree to have children with other species. They will tolerate other races if they’re feeling nice about it, but ultimately the Kree come first. This is important in the context of Carol's relationship with Yon-Rogg.
There's racism of blue Kree > non blue Kree in the comics but it doesn't appear to be present in the MCU. Keep it in mind though.
The Kree originally evolved to have blue skin because of low oxygen levels on Hala. Non blue kree came later as a result of mixing with other species. Since making babies with another species has been illegality for probably millenia, non blue Kree are now just another skin tone of the species.
Sexism isn't a thing. Yon-Rogg isn't sexist to Carol he's being racist too her lol
There are groups of noble families with some quite strict rules about battle. If a noble is cornered in battle with no way out they have to drink the special suicide juice or else they are shamed.
The suicide juice is called Odium, which means hate in Latin. If you sip it you go crazy with rage, get super strength and start trying to fight everything until it makes your heart explode
In the comics the Kree have double that of human organs — ie two hearts, four lungs. Brain is probably an exception. They have stronger bones and heavier muscle mass.
Kree blood has healing properties strong enough to bring a species with simple DNA (like humans) back from the dead but it's super duper painful and like 7/8 of the people that have received it have been given some kind of amnesia afterwards
Carol was one of those humans lol rip queen
Apparently the amnesia thing isn't even hard to do? In Agents of Shield a Kree had a tiny little hammer and he'd slap people with it and they'd loose their memories (I doubt that Carol was slapped with a tiny hammer but you never know this might help you)
Propaganda art - there are some gorgeous statues and murals in the Captain Marvel concept art.
Fashion is generally dark. Black, grey and brown for most people. It's not too complicated. White appears to be for underclothes/sleeping wear.
Well it's not too complicated unless you are the Supremor. Remember, Dar-Benn is succeeding the position from their idea of god. She's dressed to the tens and stands out the most from literally everyone. Her stuff is more detailed and metallic and she's wearing a lot more jewellery.
Also notice how Dar-Benn changes outfits literally every ten minutes. I need Marvel to stop killing all the cunty villains because I deserved to study her entire wardrobe thank you very much
A few Kree women (including Carol) have the style of one side being braided and the other let down.
The Kree are encouraged to experiment with as many genders as possible
So technically Carol Danvers lesbian sex canon
Some people grow babies in big tanks. Why? To make them strong or something idk. Carol's comic half sister was born in a big tank bc they wanted her to be strong asf to serve as an Accuser
Swear words — I only know da'st. No idea what it means
They don't have a word for candy </3
Normal space currency is called credits. Kree currency is called kreedits. If that's not the funniest fucking thing ever I don't know what is.
Kree names are "your name-family name". Eg Yon-Roggs given name is Yon, but his surname is Rogg. His daughters name is Una-Rogg.
You generally don't separate the name. Yon-Roggs name isn't Yon, it's Yon-Rogg. Obviously there's exceptions, but that's the general naming rule. It wouldn't be outright wrong to call him Yon, it would just be uncommon and slightly weird.
The Kree have beef with every species ever. They had multiple wars with the Asgardians and the Xandarians.
I've probably missed something lol
Anyways: Arab.org daily click to help Palestine 🍉

#The Mystery at Dunvegan Castle#Our Lady Of Mysterious Ailments#Edinburgh Nights#T.L. Huchu#The Library of the Dead#really enjoy this series!#the worldbuilding is very interesting - kinda combo climate-ravaged future but also in some aspects societally it feels kinda 1800s#(especially with the vibe of the mystery/paranormal elements)#I saw that the author (who is from Zimbabwe) describe it as ‘if edinburgh was a third world city’ which actually makes a lot of sense#Also I have to make the wendell & wild x lockwood & co comp again#I felt like book 2 was a little all over the place? I slightly lost track of the other-realms stuff lol#I really loved book 3 though - definitely more direct plot-wise#I like how it explores her journey through learning that the magic society is just as corrupt and shitty as anything else and maybe she#doesn't want it after all. as well as how the stress of everything is getting to her is causing panic attacks#love the scottish accent in the audiobooks!#so many interesting different supernatural elements. yay for sidhe in book 3 (tho only briefly)#hold on. do the book covers reflect the colour of her locs. (ok not quite for book one which is usually blue but there is a green variant)#ok I did say no romance but also I can’t tell if I’m just imagining Something between ropa & priya bc in book 3……they had some moments.#I mean I enjoy them as platonic moments also but just noting here in case it DOES turn out to be intentional and something that happen??#also fair warning the promo for book four seems to spoil somehting that's not even in the blurb??#aroaessidhe 2024 reads

Culture of the Destroyed ⛓️💥✨
~.*COME TO OUR LAND, OUR LAND OF LOVE*.~
So you’ve been accepted into the Cult of the Destroyed! But what is there to expect once inside?
Origin
Our beloved cult was founded in 1991 by the beautiful, holy and sacred Moon Queen. She breathed her dreamsmoke upon our oppressors and rive them to madness - while granting us the sweetest visions of our lost past. Legends say that the Queen was once a prisoner to the execution grounds… until her illustrious influence inspired a coup in her followers.
Though it began shakily, held on the backs of terrified refugees and convicts, each toy banded together in the name of once-cursed innovation to seek methods of survival. Just when all seemed lost, the Moon Queen discovered something. Seeds. And once food and water were secure, the Cult of the Destroyed began to flourish.
Layout
The Cult resides within Playtime Co.’s recycling plant, colloquially named “Destroy-A-Toy” by humans and toys alike. The warehouse is enormous and stocked with machinery, sorted goods, disposable garbage (ripe for the picking!) and many, many execution methods. Be it crushing from the plant’s crown conveyor belt, incineration from the heat pits, dismemberment from the dangerously whirring fan blades or - God forbid - digestion from the monstrous carnivore who resides inside, the cultists of Destroy-A-Toy have near-infinite ways to deal with intruders and traitors alike.
The plant’s centre is an enormous rectangular prism with an extremely high vaulted roof. In its centre sits the main conveyor belt, which leads to the crushing block. This is a gathering space and where the executions take place. The conveyor is only ever activated when the cult is legitimately in danger; therefore, the space is used for socialising, entertainment and general silly shenanigans.
To the left are the living quarters:
Rooms, tents, blocks etc.
Food court and banquet hall
The medical tent
The nursery
Most ritual activities
And to the right are the more industrial aspects of the facility:
Recycling chute
Incineration, dismemberment and digestion wings
Cell block (repurposed to hold humans)
Water purification systems
Catwalks to the cavern
The cavern leads to an enormous lake of water found under the plant. Destroy-A-Toy is powered electrically so it’s uncertain why such a large body of water exists, but what the cultists DO know is that it contains an underwater tunnel network that could potentially lead outside the toy factory if any were brave enough to dive. This lake is is filled with fish carefully managed by the Queen’s people.
The importance of the lake:
Provides drinking water once purified
Provides cleaning water
Allows crops to grow with the assistance of floodlights
Both recreational and educational fishing
The lake has been decorated with bioluminescence, fairy lights and cave paintings and is a beautiful sight to behold.
Food
Light, water and seeds are required for the cult’s agriculture. They take great delight in their cooking and host weekly banquets to celebrate their achievements. Toys were often starved as convicts and are therefore thoroughly fed under the Moon Queen’s care. Over time and through the assistance of a mysterious supplier, the Destroyed have learned to cook potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, peas, cabbage, spinach and corn. The incineration plants are used to cook, boil, steam and fry food. Most is served with fresh fish from the lake. Delicious!
This is California. The fish are ABUNDANT. And her beloved majesty is a cat, after all. If only she could grab some chicken… sigh.
Style/Aesthetic
Destroy-A-Toy represents freedom. Therefore, it adores:
Bright, pretty colours
Regal and imposing architecture mixed with cutesy little inhabitants
VEGETATION. These guys LOOOOVE their plants. Vines, trellises, leaves - since they’ve never been outside, they’re cherishing what they have. The living quarters particularly are filled with green space.
Gentle, coloured lights and bioluminescence
Celestial bric-a-brac - sun, moon, stars
Bead curtains outside the tents
Jewels/jewellery. Very celestial and goddess-y
Stuffing, coloured clothes patches etc. to fit the “toy” heritage
🌿🌺✨💎👼🌙🍇🪻
Rituals
Many of its rituals are hidden from outsiders… but you’re in the cult now, so you deserve to know!
The most important ones you must know are the Executions, the Campfire and the Cuddle Puddle.
Executions take place when traitors, prisoners or abusers are officially condemned. These are bloodthirsty public ceremonies that are NOT for the faint of heart. Just a casual reminder to never piss Catnap off.
The Campfire is the cult’s local worship ritual. The cult will gather around the conveyor belt, where a ring of fire is constructed. The Queen is seated in the centre. Music is performed and a dance celebration occurs - and, at the song’s climax, Catnap will release her smoke, iniviating worship.
The Cuddle Puddle is everyone’s favourite. According to the Moon Queen, “One cannot be happy when affected by the bad vibes! So we mush squiiiiiiish the bad vibes out! Very cuddly.”
Are you staying? ✨
We hope to see you participating in the Campfire soon… 🐦🔥
Oh! And here’s our playlist! For the vibes :)

The BABBY Whorls post! I got quite a few asks about these guys as little-r guys so I just decided to make a new post for em! Info below the cut as always!
SOO Whorls and all pentapods go through a larval stage at the beginning of life. Whorls are ovoviviparous so they are ready to swim and gather their own food as soon as they're born. These lil tadpoles will mostly feed on pond scum but much prefer meat and fruit dropped off by their attentive family members.
At this stage they cant eat a whole lot due to their undersized combs. Combs being the teeth equivalent for pentapods. Combs are heavily copper infused and they need to be shed and regrown as the baby grows. They shed them many many times as they grow until they reach adulthood. Adults only shed their combs every decade or so.
Whorlette's are also sporting unfused shell! Pentapods descend from a fully shelled ancestor despite the very sparsely shelled adult Whorl. Babies are sporting hard, unfused shells when they are in this aquatic phase, but once they leave the water they make the change to their more modern internal shell and rubbery casing. Their limbs are also different! While they have the beginnings of their skeletal system in place, their legs are much more adapted to swimming, ESPECIALLY the hind. In fact the most common issue faced during the transition to land is learning how to use that 'tail' as an actual leg. Many a baby Whorl has enjoyed training braces during their land loving days.
Whorl's spend about a year in their aquatic state before heading out onto land. I haven't decided on their life timeline entirely, buuuut. I'm thinking maybe hitting sexual maturity at 8-10 and being full grown at around age 12-15 and living to an average of about 30 to 40. Not super long :( but they are living fast out there!
