Skyfire has started leading Raymond up towards the exit of area zero before finally getting the courage to ask.

Skyfire pulled out some paperwork as they stopped walking and turned to Raymond.

"I want to officially adopt you Raymond. I want you to know that you won't be bounced around again from one home to another. While I already thought of you as my son, I wanted to make it official in the eyes of mainly the government and the league. And I wanted you to be okay with it.

I want you to be a part of my family. And I do wish for you to meet some of them someday. I bet my brothers would love to meet you." Skyfire rambled, a bit

Raymond was on top of Skyfire's bed. Which had been moved to be in contact with the a wall, likely to prevent stuff from falling through, and the frame was gone, leaving the boxspring, mattress and other things to stay on the floor.

The hanging lights strewn above on the metal walls illuminated the few shelves and posters that gave a bit of life to the place. The place was dim right now because the main lights had been turned off seemingly. Making the smallish research station seem bigger than it is.

Skyfire themself was sitting, semi curled up on a area rug that covered a portion of the cold metal floor. They had a blanket on them and were leaned up against some pillows. Their rotomphone in their paws, and it seems like Zip had returned to it.

They had Ghost on their lap, and Sapphire next to them. They looked up at Raymond and waved a bit.

"Morning, well afternoon at this point. You've been out for a while actually, but that's okay, you needed the rest." Skyfire explained.

Ive said this before but swear the biggest skill to learn as an adult is how to resist high-pressure sales tactics. You do NOT have to answer questions with anything other than "Sorry I'm not interested." No matter how nice they are or no matter how many follow up questions they ask or even how agitated they get when you stand your ground. Just keep saying I'm not interested. Don't answer their questions. Don't give them an opening to try to push back on your reasons. Be a fucking brick wall of I'm not interested.

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space* at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.

so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.
