He looks uneasy at that. That night Lilith had been killed in front of him was still very difficult to even think about...

I just need to write this down somewhere so it leaves my head and maybe, well maybe one of ye younge’ writers will see this and let it be known, we all write some real cringe shit at some point. Embrace it, nurture it, love it - it’s the cringe shit that will one day be most dearest to you and make you grande.

Why do I say that? Do you have an example, Dodge? Ohboi, I have. With my Star Trek nostalgia (tm) going on I remembered by cringe lil’ AU that I created as a formidable teen child of like 11 to 13 or something and honestly, you people here are probably the only ones knowing the value of cringe enough to share it with.

So, when I was a kid, I created a lil’ AU thingie to TNG that was basically all their kids. XD It was very cringe, but I loved it and drew tons of stuff and wrote tons of stuff with these chars. Some solo adventures, some meeting canon chars. So, who were these people? Oh, ou gonna love it!

There was René Picard, the son of Jean-Luc and Beverly Crusher, then there was Kaz (commonly known as Kazzy) Riker, daughter of Will and Deanna Troi and then there was my peak fan-char android Layout, one of the two spare androids Soong had created before Lore and Data and then there was a borg lady who was Third, I think. Because she was third of a bad batch to be disposed of, before Layout found her and then there was a klingon Doctor, but I forgot her name, she was Worf’s grandchild or something and I believe a few more crew members, but I can’t remember them. ANYWAY. These people had adventures in space and I know that René in the “pilot” pulled a Kirk and messed up bad and got a ship almost distroyed believing he killed everyone, because he got lost in space and didn’t know they had been saved. There he was found my Layout and Third and he hid away for like a few years like the biggest Shakespeare nonesense going on there, when he ran into Kazzy and then there was a huge thing going on about Starfleet being in danger and he again pulled a Kirk and they saved everyone and René leaned he hadn’t killed everybody and he returned and for reasons Third and Layout totally joined Starfleet too and yas, adventures galore.  

So, yas. Marvel at my baby-brainchildren. I really need to check out at my parents place if maybe there are still some drawings existing or even writing on their old hardrive. XD

Do you think tulpas can just "go away"?

I scroll Reddit once in awhile and while I don't agree with what most of them say the whole "tulpa just leaving" thing stays with me. Its plastered everywhere to not make a tulpa if you don't want them forever but then I'll see folk talking about their tulpas "fading away" or "going quiet".

I could ramble about this forever but I was wondering what your opinion was? Can tulpas choose to leave and/or just go quiet forever?

Ohboy, okay, so! I have a bit of a hot take on this one but I feel like we've got enough experience with tulpamancy & dormancy to take a crack at it.

Asking if we can just "go away" is a really weird question because there're a TON of answers to it. So to keep it simple, we're gonna straight up use the word death when we mean a headmate going away irretrievably forever. To cut to the chase, it's my firm belief a tulpa can always be brought back with practice no matter how long they've been ignored. I don't think we can die unless the body dies, long as we're past a certain point of being rooted in the subconscious enough. Like, just one or two sessions (usually) does not a tulpa make, obv! I'm not saying anyone who like one-off tried and didn't get far has a dormant tulpa. Just that past a certain point, we're here. We can (BUT SHOULDN'T) be ignored, and we can go quiet, go dormant, but we're not gone.

As for just "fading away"/"going quiet" longterm - yeah, that can happen, especially before your tulpa is strong enough to push through you not thinking about em at all and make themselves known. In the short term it's normal for them to not be there constantly, but you've still gotta communicate with them. If you don't then over time, things can fade. It can be harder to talk with em or summon em, you might not feel the responses the way you used to. A good example of that is people who ended up with sentient imaginary friends as kids: they weren't interacted with for a long time, and the host didn't think they're real, so they went into dormancy for a while. But they can be brought back with patience and practice, even if they might not be exactly the same cuz of the time passed? They can still come back around.

this is of course uuhhh excluding member death situations in disordered systems cuz we don't have much experience w that, and we know even just time can make a tulpa or other created headmate Come Back A Lil Different, so we can't even imagine what specific trauma or other circumstances might do.

I literally do not know how to express any of this, but both do share a lot in common between each other. These songs are there to welcome while at the same time saying ‘you are stupid’ and go from that to try to convince in doing something of their own interest. Something that will only favor themselves and not the people who the song is sung to. In both songs, we can even find sections where it seems most directed to childish people, some parts being more obvious than others, but even with the intention of an immature mind being the attention of that section, the one singing throws random shit that are obviously not fucking directed to children.

Both songs are trying to trick you by showing something that could be fun, mainly for a child or casual, something that has great aspects, while on the other hand, also being honest about the dark side of it but not losing the tone of ‘it still could be fun’. They are mixing the good and bad honest parts of each situation, to make it look like nothing and make people ignore the fact that is terrible. And OHBOY i have example for that.

He touched her cheeks, her ears, along her jaw. He dragged trembling fingers through her hair, not caring that there might be snags here and there. He shook her, he squeezed her shoulders, he poked her feet with his own. All of this just to be sure she was solid and real and alive — because he had thought her dead.

But he wasn’t relieved to see her. He wasn’t even happy. Mammon was confused and hurt, and he knew an explanation would help, but what reason could she give that wouldn’t make him feel worse?

“You can explain? Explain what?!”

“I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!”

Mammon wasn’t above anger. He was the brother most likely to remain level-headed, but that didn’t mean he was incapable of flying off the handle when the perfect situation presented itself. He had maimed and killed, but his record was still abysmal compared to some of his brothers. Around her, he had tried twice as hard to keep his anger in check. There were slip-ups, namely around the time when they had separated, but those moments were rare.

Now, all he could do was yell himself hoarse.

“I stood here and I cried over your damn grave for days! I thought it was my fault! I thought it was because I couldn’t get to you fast enough that you were gone! My pact mark——!!” His mouth was running far faster than his mind, the realization of what he had just said stunning him for a moment.

He reached for the mark the two of them shared, the warmth that usually pulsed there having gone cold. The sudden lack of a connection had been what tipped him off first, but he had assumed it was because she had passed on. The fact that her soul had come rushing towards him had been a concern, but he assumed it was some strange, magical hiccup that he didn’t understand.

“How did you keep me from feeling you through my mark?”

in honor of this being our last gig, i want to say thank you to this dude, our tour manager. in 2014 we made our first song, and here we are now, rocked olympia stadion and now baltic princess, this is pretty cool.

and back when i moved to other side of vantaa and jesse was my first friend (🥺). i don't have to, i haven't said much about our friendship, but my brother and i were playing ice hockey with this makeshift goal made with tarps and stuff, when jesse came up to us with this fancy bike - their family always had nicer stuff than ours. he came up to us like (weird noises) and offered us some lozenges (pastils/pastelles/drops idk what u call them??), he was like here, take some. then they all dropped to the ground, and he still offered them to us, and i was thinking this dude is insane, i don't want anything to do with him, but then what happened? now we are here.

so, the reason i'm telling u this is because, don't ever have preconceived notions about anything. when you see a news article that käärijä shat his pants, i probably did, but remember to always think first before jumping to conclusions. and this is not only about me, but about all the relationships and friendships you have, kids, always remember to not jump to conclusions.
