pardon! what is a ghost?

Thanks for asking! They're a type of desktop toy that can take many forms! Typically it is a character or set of characters that appear on your desktop, and will say things to you every couple of minutes. Some of them have hidden content to unlock, some of them have little functions they can do like emptying your recycle bin, some have more intricate features like music players and minigames, and some just have a lot of idle dialogue!

They originate from Japan, but anyone can make one of anything and in any language! There's a lot of variety out there.

We also have a whole wiki dedicated to English ghosts, and you can find all of my personal creations over on my website! I love these things a lot, and I've made several of them. Here's some previews to give you an idea.

The Trio find Inner Peace 😌

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Vinnie and Stone shot up from their mattresses to see the commotion was all about. That scream sounded like it belonged to Skipp, their favorite sQuIrReL turned friend. 😌

They ran over to Skipp's mattress to see what was the matter, and to their shock and horror, Skipp now had twelve heads.

"Feknok" said the Skipps, who seemed to have finally understood the meaning of life. Suddenly, all twelve of Skipps became to convulse, and started SHRIEKING at Vinnie and Skipp that they have wasted their life by not vomiting up cheese and making sculptures of a man named Roark Romano, who looks suspiciously like Fred Durst from It's Just One Of Those Days Where You

Skipp then fucking dies, and Vinnie and Stone hook Nikocado Avocado up to a massive machine that zaps him with 999,000,000,000 volts. Instead of killing him, though, it causes Nic to turn into a gigantic cheese kaiju and begins to terrorize the city of Ramshackle.

"Aw fuck," said Stone, the most emo out of the two. "Well, bottoms up." Stone proceeded to chug 12 bottles of rum, 1 for each head Skipp had at the time of his unfortunate demise; and with that, Stone passed the fuck out.

"Great," responded Vinnie. "I guess I'm gonna have to GET FUCKING BLITZED!!!!" Vinnie proceeds to take a small baggie of crushed blue Jolly Ranchers. She rips open the bag, and then promptly SLAMS her face into the blue, crystalline goodness. Vinnie could FEEL the change coming over her, she understood EVERYTHING NOW, she felt like she could punch through a concrete wall. Suddenly, her body began BURSTING with pure cosmic energy, and now, she was no longer human.

"I AM VINEYARD!!!" She screamed, "I AM THE HUMAN INSTRUMENT OF GOD'S WILL!! AFTER I HAVE VANQUISHED THIS BEAST, ALL SHALL COME TO FEAR THE NAME VINEYARD!!! ANGELS WILL PRAISE THE POUNDING OF MY FISTS AGAINST MY ENEMY'S SKULLS!!! GOD WILL PRAISE THE SCREAMS OF ALL OF MY VICTI--"

Vinnie was smacked aside by the Nikocado Kaiju. "You are insignificant." said the Nikokaiju. "All of the citizens of this city shall burn, and you will watch."

"NOT IF I DO THIS--" Vinnie yelled, and she threw herself into the Nikokaiju's mouth, and everything went silent. "Damn." said Stone, who had since woken up from his temporary rum coma.

"HA! You fool! You peasant. You just killed yourself. Now there shall be NOTHING to stand in my way!! NOTHI--" A gurgle.

The Nikokaiju paused. He looked down at his bulging belly, as a glowing white light could be seen through his stomach like a sort of internal lightbulb. Suddenly, his gut began to swell with the illuminating energy. Soon, it got so large, it burst!!

"OH MY GOODD MY INNARDS," screamed the lumbering beast. He then glanced up and saw Vinnie floating in the air, covered in cheese. She puffed her chest, and let out a triumphant FUCK YOOOOUUUU

The Nikokaiju deflated and began to cry, for he knew this was the end. "This is the end, eeeeeeee."

Vinnie flew down to the ground to check on Stone, who had fully recovered from his hangover. "Stone." said Vinnie, "You smell like shit." But this did not matter to her. She was just glad her friend was alright. Vinnie and Stone's smiles then turned to sorrowful looks, as the two friends remembered that their friend, Skipp, was dead.

They embraced each other, and they both knew that they only had each other now, and they needed to keep each other safe from this shitty world. They both cried into each other's shoulders, but a few inches later, Skipp, who did NOT die, dug himself out of the rubble.

"SKIPP?!?!?!?" The two friends collectively shouted. They ran over to their newly-resurrected friend, and the trio embraced. "Skipp, how are you alive??" asked Vinnie. "I'll tell you how! Lazy writing!! Come on guys, let go rob someone."

The three friends walked towards the sunset, prepared to start their lives again.
