Raine set her large suitcase down and admired the entry hall. It was significantly bigger than her little old Inn and fancier than she thought it would be. Caretaker for the whole season with barely any responsibilities other than to keep it from burning down. And it would keep her mind off of her first holiday season without her son. Who needed stupid college anyway? Who didn't want to spend every moment with their mother? But none of that, she was embarking on a new adventure for the season and her whole journey of self improvement would create a new Raine ready to take over the world.

Of course she did need to get through the whole winter. Already the chilly air was invading, causing her to tighten her coat around herself. She watched her bags being whisked away from the caretakers rooms and she moved towards the fire. All she needed to do was meet with the manager, get the tour, then get to know her new home. And it would all be wonderful.

Tldr; Inu tries to be a good rp partner and sometimes they worry they don’t come across that way.

Your ancient ass rp'er has been around for a long time. And I do mean a long time. I remember when tumb.lr would have you click reblog and open an entirely seperate window that required you to do the HTML yourself. I remember when they first rolled out the "hit reblog and the post pops up with all these buttons to edit it", I remember when they first took away the editable reblog. I've been here a while.

And with that, I've been in a lot of fandoms too. Some fandoms that I'd rather forget ever being a part of. Some fandoms that died and I do miss. I've run multimuses and single muse blogs forever and had quite a few ocs. Michael here is the only one I've ever commissioned fanart for, and I am quite attached to him.

That being said, this is probably one of the hardest fandoms I've ever had to fit myself into.

I've actually had to say this before as I've been accused of being a canon character, but Michael is an oc. I've developed his background, his personality, his appearence. 80% of him was created for my fanfiction, the rest has developed. His appearence was crafted lovingly with the help of diistortion and Akari, the man people I've commissioned art from.

And I get the stigma that surrounds ocs. I ran a multimuse oc rp blog at one point. I have been in that fandom side of tumblr. I know that most people look at ocs, especially ones with bare bones to run off of, and they think low of them.

I have put a lot of effort into Michael. His bio is long, and I know not everyone will read all of it. I have a lot of hcs, and I know people don't read all of them. I know quite a few of the hcs counteract with what someone else has as a hc. And some of them that pertain toward Lucifers might never work for their interpretation of them. I will also never expect you to bend completely to my "lore" or "world developing". I do expect you to meet me halfway with it, as I would you.

RP is a collaborative effort, a give and a take. I know a lot of us have anxiety and trouble reaching out, all of which are very valid. I myself don't talk to even half of you, though I try to show support by sending memes, liking posts I see and especially reading and like hcs when I'm online to see them. Those small interactions are very important and I want to be supportive of all of you even if we don't talk.

I am a very simple person, I like shiny objects and small trauma filled workaholic blonde angels. I'm not good with the tumb.lr IM system, I'm definitely bad at communicating ooc in general, I work a full time job in the middle of the night in the health field and I can be very slow with certain interactions as my ADHD tends to make me hyper focus. I might chew on your asks for weeks before you finally get an answer because the creative writer in me has to make them 500-1K words long.

But I have discord for people who want to plot or just scream about our children and I do actually love to plot. My favorite genera is romance (big surprise there when I literally made Michael during a radio/Apple fanfic) and broken bonds being reconnected (trying to bridge Lucifer and Michael's relationship). I also really love angst and fantasy adventure.

I try to be a good, respectable and approachable RP partner. I do ignore a lot of random anon asks I get (and I know it's some people's way of shyly reaching out). They're really hard for me to direct answers at when I can't put a character to the reply. I also ignore the random asks that randomly ask to rp. I did 90% of the starter calls I owed from the last starter call post and only one person actually replied to the one I made, so I don't think I'll make another one. It just feels a bit like effort wasted.

The permanent starter call exists for that that reason too. I find it disheartening and disengaging when I put effort into asks that go unanswered repeatedly. And I'm well aware my lengthy, novella length asks can freak some people out. Same with threads. When I give 1K words to a short thread people can panic and mentally tap out. It's understandable, but working hard on asks that repeatly go unanswered does make me sad. I love seeing how muses react to certain things. So knowing certain people are okay with 1K words asks being dropped on them out of nowhere takes some of the anxiety off of me.

I'm not gonna lie, a lot of people in this fandom have me blocked, which is what triggered this. I don't know why for most of them, some of them I do and it's fine. I'm not mad or petty over being blocked, I am a bit sad, but I'm mostly worried actually that I come off as this overly—stuck up person with exceedingly high expectations? And that's not it at all.

My writing isn't even that good realistically. I'm repetitive, I use incorrect past and present tenses, I don't proof read because I hate reading my own writing, I don't know how to do fancy tumb.lr format to save my life, and I have a reading comprehension disability which tends to make me miss or misinterpret certain things I've read in my partners reply which can screw my reply up.

I'm aware of the above problems and I do write to try and improve, as we all do. As I've said before, practice makes perfect.

But I wanted to express that I am here to have fun and as I've said before I watch all of you mostly from the sidelines. I watch the way you develop your muses, the way you write, the random excited screaming moments you have. All of you are fantastic in the things you do, the art you create, and I genuinely do hope for the best for you. I want to interact with all the people I follow, and like all of us sometimes it's hard to figure out how.

HOW LONG — i've been writing ever since i was in middle school (6-7th grade) but that was for fanfiction. i joined my first ever tumblr rp community i wanna say like... freshman/sophomore year of high school? it helped me get through a lot of rough times as it was like a form of escapism for me. i believe the first community i joined was the d.etroit b.ecome h.uman rpc. i stayed in that for a FAT minute before i was into the o.verwatch rpc and then the d.ragon a.ge rpc. if you wanna check out my really old blogs (they aren't active anymore, but i kept them up so i can look at them here and there) here they are: @ask-the-rk900 , @fen-dwxller, @bxckle-up @luridhearted @scxrred-prince (luridhearted was an attempt at a multimuse HAH) WHAT PLATFORMS — primarily tumblr, before i shifted over to discord for a couple years as i only had time to rp with like one person. afterwards, i ended up coming back to tumblr. if you're talking about now, i only rp on tumblr because i have too much fun with formatting my posts BEST EXPERIENCE — i had an rp partner that was like my bestie throughout my highschool years. we had our own ocs and they were always sad and depressed because we were too LMAO. but during that time, i absolutely LOVED our rps and our own characters. we drifted apart because of our own differences, but i hope they're doing okay now. they still influence me heavy to this day, and every now and then i look back at our stories that we made together. always missing you, ash.

FLUFF , ANGST OR SMUT — i LOVE angst. angst is my go-to thing-- i feel like i'm some kind of sadist that loves seeing my muse get hurt????? is there something wrong with me???????? an example of this is fluff masking the angst underneath. ORRRR smut masking the angst underneath. it's been years since i've written anything remotely smutty and i have no idea if i can still write it hahaha PLOTS OR MEMES — i prefer a little bit of both. send in a meme, maybe even plot about how to go about it? or vice versa. those are SO yummy LONG OR SHORT REPLIES — depends on the mood of the day. most of the time i love making long replies because the muse tends to get carried away (he's very talkative, as you all know) but i know that a lot of gems come from short little banter-like threads so i love those too! BEST TIME TO WRITE — whenever the muse lets me. sometimes astarion gives a little pouty face and tells me he's too tired and doesn't wanna interact. sometimes astarion is bursting with energy cause he needs someone to fuck around with. sometimes... astarion is full of himself and wants to stare at pictures of himself. the muse wants what the muse wants, and if i force it, it's the first step to losing my muse ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) — on a trauma level, me && astarion are very similar. both of us felt like we needed to overly-sexualize ourselves to people who we deemed worthy of protecting us, so there is a sense of performance that we need to bring to every relationship. it's hard for the both of us to take off that mask since it's so second nature to us. i haven't been physically scarred by another person like astarion has, but i do have my own scars for other reasons. to me, astarion is essentially an embodiment of my past trauma that i can express in a healthy way. i guess that's why i've stuck with him longer than i have with any other muse---because of how familiar he is. (also, back with my rp partner i had on discord, neil was their faceclaim as well so that's a double whammy)

BEST EXPERIENCE : seeing the results of continued interaction and plotting toward dynamics. feeling the general shift of my muses toward other muses and being like hey let's go bug them because they enjoy the company of that specific muse/blog. hitting that stride with someone else, where you both are on the same wavelength regarding your muses. sometimes it happens quickly, other times over the span of months and years of following one another. it's such a sweet moment seeing all the hard work of writing / plotting / interaction with someone and watching your muses growing together or reaching that sweet plot point you've been building up to. c:

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : lack of matching energy. if i plot with you and don't get anything back, that's one of the biggest dealbreakers. i will pull the weight for my muse(s) but i am not doing it for you. i like to think im pretty flexible in terms of letting it a slide in the beginning bc we're still figuring each other out and acting like awkward turtles but if i continue to feel that lack of energy then we're going our separate ways. i only have so many spoons to spend on here and i wanna make sure i enjoy them. also it frustrates me a lot when im asking questions, trying to get things going and just getting one word answers. i start thinking it's me and im doing something wrong. that never leads anywhere nice for mental health so, yep.

PLOTS OR MEMES : i generally prefer plotting, but not lot of it. i like to a get a general gist of direction then leaving everything else open-ended. bc really the muses sometimes don't follow the plan and i fully support following them into whatever problem their track wreck self is heading toward. i like memes, but sometimes i don't. and that's all me bc i want all the interactions to have some kind purpose, to keep building and developing our muses. but i know that's unreasonable expectation to have. plus memes are totally are great for exploring potential ideas, working out of the norm, and feeling each other out! so yess they're good but also sometimes i feel they don't go anywhere and im like did i waste time writing that? the answer is no, bc it's practice, it's a chance to explore. but can't help the way you feel at times.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : generally short replies, i like the quickness to them. however i do enjoy long ones when they start to dig into the muse and pick apart their thoughts.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : who knows. generally it's the weekend bc that's when i don't work. also when im reading. if i go time without reading a book of fanfic then my writing insp is going to suffer. sometimes i can pull out replies during the week but that is raaaare.

We are, as you put it so perfectly yourself, in cahoots. If I remember it right, we first became acquainted a little over 3 and a half years ago, not very long after I started writing Caleb in the first place - in fact I think it was when I still had him contained on a sideblog to an old multimuse and you had Dolores on a solo blog. We tried writing a few threads and ask memes back and forth which went pretty well considering I was still very much figuring out who Caleb was at that point, but looking back I can see how inexperienced I was and how I didn't really know what direction to take anything in, which I think is what contributed the most to us drifting apart after a while, but you know, sometimes that happens.

When we both sort of made a comeback after the announcement that another season of Westworld was indeed happening and we found each other again we started back up with some classic Dolores and Caleb bonding for old time's sake, and then after the first few episodes of season 4 premiered we got to talking and you told me you were really tempted to add Maeve to your multi and naturally I went "do it" and the rest is history. Maeve and Caleb quickly became one of my favorite OTPs and they remain because their dynamic is so damn fun to write.

We've been blowing up each other's notifications on tumblr and discord and occasionally wire on a pretty consistent basis for over a year and a half now with anything and everything from angst to action to romance to the difficult, hard-hitting questions and humanistic wonders and fluff and anything in between. Chatting with each other to the effect of "so I noticed A Thing the last time I saw this" and plotting cute scene ideas and being all 'will you... [gets down on one knee] ship with me? 🥺🥺" and yelling enthusiasm about our threads and headcanons or just dropping by occasionally to say hi and check up on each other as life continues to life on us, sometimes quite harshly.

I was a bit surprised when I saw you mention you had only just finished watching X-Files season 1 and were adding Scully as a muse, but I knew this character would be in good, capable hands the moment you decided to pick her up. It's so easy to see in every single post you make just how much she means to you, how much you love her as a muse and how driven you are to doing her canon justice with your portrayal. It's been really exciting and a full beans honor to kick off another lil fledgling relationship between Scully and Caleb and I can't wait to see where they wind up going with it.

I could literally continue to go on for HOURS but I really just need everyone to know how superb KG is.

Favourite thing about roleplaying?

The cooperative part of it in which we both surprise each other, and not just with each other's muses but with our own doing whatever the hell they want. For example us deciding to have an angsty NO I CAN'T BE WITH YOU thread and then your muses say exactly the right word that makes Emma go 'actually I'm changing my mind' which makes me go WHAT? and then yours says something that makes yours go DID YOU SEE, DID YOU READ, WHAT HAPPENS NOW and then Emma says something stupidly romantic and we are both all OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING EVERYBODY CALM DOWN

That part. The part where we left the characters follow their personalities instead of the planned plots and surprise each other, or answer memes in a way that the other person wasn't expecting and hit each other in the feels... and then come yelling at one another? I can't find that in writing fanfiction, though of course people yelling in the comments come close, but it's just... not the same. I can't surprise myself as much and it's more solitary to me than roleplaying is. Having the other person respond whether ic or ooc with some yelling is my favorite thing ever because we are having fun together!

Least favourite thing about roleplaying?

There are so many things I'm needlessly fight-y about that it's hard to pick the least favorite lol I'd say that I don't like when people don't read rules/about pages, because the roleplay community talks a lot about how we are all a bit anxious/insecure etc to explain why we don't talk much anymore (and btw I am too, but I also know that for anxious people not responding much is one way to reject the other person, so I push through and then give up if the other person never tries to initiate or sounds legit pissed off that I'm writing to them) and yet it's okay to not read rules and forcing a person to have to do the more embarrassing thing of saying, for example, 'I don't want to roleplay with that muse' (to a multimuse) or 'I don't want to ship that because he's mean to her/doesn't even seem to like her' or 'I'm sorry I'm not into that fandom anymore'. Like, I feel way more anxiety and annoyance at having to re-say things I wrote down EXACTLY TO AVOID THAT, because we are all very much socialized to just go along with it, than I do at pushing myself to ignore the thought that I'm annoying the other person if I go to plot with them so that we can actually write. If you aren't 'in the mood' to read long pages don't follow a blog with long rules. A game is only fun when you don't make the other players uncomfortable. And non mutuals trying to rp fall into this category too! Also because if I roleplay with one X character doesn't mean I'll roleplay with all portrayals of X character, or that I want to roleplay with all the muses that the person writing X character has, or with every similar character to X, so just... read rules, people!

Least favourite trope?

Now let's be clear, we are just talking about what's fun to me, there is no moral judgment here because it's just a matter of 'I like coffee you like tea', but the trope where the man 'finally' shuts up the woman who has a loud personality or is fighty or whatever to return to the status quo of her letting him take the lead because he's really good at kissing her or more, and it's clear that she's just yapping but has no real power in the relationship, instead of it being a 'we cooperate and like each other'? I'm trying to stay on the safe side of tumblr right now but... the concept that you can have male characters be stubborn and loud or fun and if they soften up for love it's so cool meanwhile with a woman this trope becomes putting her in her place because ultimately the man must be in charge? Nope. No. I'm not writing any of my female muses as secretly just wanting a man to take the lead, or as being their mindless cheerleaders who just cry if the man does something bad or beg him to change, but have no decisional power. And you have no idea of how many times in the past I've found myself writing other female muses who were way angrier/figthy and the male muse's intention was to in the end prove they were stronger so they'd stop being like that, or expect Emma who is all sunshiney to be just a supporting character. So I guess my least favorite trope is 'one member of the couple is just a supporting character to the other instead of an equal and specifically the woman if strong must learn that she's never going to be the one making the calls'.

I see it a lot LESS around tumblr now though, which is a relief (been here since 2012). It's why I'm so strict with who I interact with and who I ship with even if it's hard to tell nowadays, but I'm not picking any trope that will result in Emma being muted, like her when she's dumb or leave her.

shipping. i am highly selective with ships, & a good majority of the time i will not be after them or all that willing to write ships. with enough plotting, & development during threads, i may be open to shipping our muses, i definitely will not ship our muses if i do not have any ooc communication with the mun to plot or otherwise, i do not jump immediately into ships, even if they are pre-established. smut is written, but i am extremely selective, there has to be extensive plotting, or it will otherwise not happen.

drama. this blog is a non-drama zone. i do not take part in callouts unless said individual has affected me personally. i will read, & take heed in callouts however, if you see i'm interacting with anyone toxic, & have evidence to back up these claims, then please do reach out to me via dm, but also allow me to make the final decision on who i interact with, & don't.

* This goes without saying but seeing as though I am older than most of you, I will only rp with people 25+. MINORS DNI. 

* No godmodding. A little “he moved” / “he did” is fine but please DO NOT control my muse’s life / decisions / actions. That’s for me to do.

* Most of my muses are between the ages of 21-35 years old. All are canon divergent & post canon.

* Send memes !! Best way for me to break the ice with someone ooc is to send a meme. Don’t be afraid to do the same. Just be sure to specify who you want or else I won’t answer it. I don’t which muse you want to write / interact with so this way it’s easier for us all.

* Do not follow me / unfollow me / re-follow me if I don’t follow back immediately. Sometimes I don’t even notice new followers. Other times I do and I always check the blog beforehand but don’t always follow back. If you follow / unfollow / refollow a lot, I will block you. 

* I don’t write / interact / follow kid muses blogs. Nothing against the kid muse, I just don’t like kids per se and it’s not easy to write with them for me. Your muse must be of age for me to interact with them.

* Euphoria muses are not welcomed here. I know it sounds mean but I will no longer write / interact with any Euphoria muses. Too many bad experiences have tainted the rp experience for me. FC’s are not the issue, those I will write with. the IC / OOC aspect of it all rp wise that has been ruined for me.

I am more than okay with shipping, if of course we’re both on the same page about it. One-sided crushes can happen, both from your character and mine, but if the feelings are unrequited I will not push you for a relationship nor should you expect yourself to do the same towards me. i experience shipping anxiety due to past trauma; for that reason, i prefer to ship with friends, people i vibe with, and people i can go to for reassurance.
