I’m just gonna splurge some thoughts about the survivors that I need to get out of my head, feel free to ignore this I just need to ramble about them. Obvs spoilers for all of DRA and SDRA2 under the cut (it's long btw).

Usual preface, just my thoughts, not canon confirmation of anything, you're all allowed to tell me I'm wrong/disagree yada yada yada

So one of the things I both love and hate about the DRA survivors in SDRA2 is how little we know about them since the events of DRA. All we get are little quotes let slip from Teruya's POV (and later Rei). And at least in Teruya’s case they’re said so nonchalantly but are also kinda telling of their experiences as adults trying to fight against despair, and how each of them are as adults. This is mostly about what Teruya tells us about Rei and Kinjo, as we do see a lot of Teruya's own personality through the course of the game.

Let’s take some things Teruya says when told that Rei is dead in chapter 2 for example. Not only does he not believe them, but he’s insistent that a) Rei will have contingencies for this and b) they will be rescued.

The way he says it implies that things go wrong in their work, and frequently at that. Rei needs to have plans b, c, and d as plan a rarely goes smoothly.

Also, while you could take his second comment as "Rei survived a killing game too she wouldn't die so easily", considering his spotty memory of his own killing game it's more likely that they've all come near death multiple times since starting the foundation. Which makes sense, put three kids in a war (two of which don't have combat experience) and quite frankly it's a miracle they're not dead yet.

Midori says something similar in the epilogue, so we can gather that people in the foundation do die often enough that it doesn't shock anymore. And by extension, the three of them have gotten injured or close to death themselves before.

I never noticed how calm he is about that statement about being rescued. He's confident. He's been captured before, perhaps a few of them have. And he has, at least, been rescued before.

I also find it kinda funny that at first when his memory of Kinjo is not all there he's still confident they'll be rescued. As time goes on and his memories of Kinjo return he loses hope. Just thinking on that.

Speaking of Kinjo, Teruya's comments of him are...interesting. When he doesn't fully remember him, he's kinda seen the same as Rei. He's confident in Kinjo and his ability to rescue them. But when he starts to get his memories back we get this wonderful snippet.

Oh boy Kinjo. I guess he doesn't believe in rehabilitation at least.

So I think it's important to stress that Teruya truly believes that Kinjo is his friend, and I think that speaks a lot about what Kinjo is like day to day. He's not always how he is in chapter 6, I really don't believe that either Rei or Teruya would stick around for however many years if he was, boss or not.

Especially Teruya, since in Kinjo's bad state he held a gun to Teruya's head and told him to pull the trigger.

It's kinda funny to think that both Rei and Kinjo have tried to kill Teruya. Rei ratted him out in chapter 4 solely to start a fight between him and Haru so they'd kill each other, and Kinjo obvs put a gun to his head. You need better friends /j

So Kinjo is probably relatively as he was in the foundation surrounded by good people (or just not criminals), and is much more ruthless out in the field. This is probably why Teruya and Rei scout on their own, perhaps they saw someone shot down who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

On a side note, I do wonder what Teruya is referring to here. There are a few things it could be tbh. Unlike the rest of the cast, he's not been reset in a past self so he knows that what he's seen is a memory, not a current thing. I think it's to do with his dad tbh, he's holding his scarf here after all (psst psst Linuj, when are you gonna tell us what happened there?)

Anyway, back on track. So Kinjo probably isn't crazy all of the time. I personally think that he has good days and bad days and that his physical state is an indication of his mental state, but that's my head cannon I can't prove that.

Man looking through chapter 4 is painful. Am I the only one that thinks Teruya's dark sprites look kinda sad? Like he doesn't really want to do what he's doing. Which kinda makes sense when you think he's being manipulated by Nikei and the entire tower seems entirely set up to trigger him in the worst way possible.

It's at this point that he no longer believes that he's going to be rescued, despite what he tells the others. He believes Rei is dead and doesn't believe that Kinjo will come for him, which leads into something Rei says in chapter 6.

Kinjo has left them for dead before, most likely both of them too. We know that Kinjo believes that the ends justifies any means and I think they have been on the receiving end of it.

But still, (I think) he wants to live, I've seen sometimes people say he's suicidal but I don't think that's the case. It's kinda telling that Yuki yelling "I'd rather die" triggers him enough to want to shoot him. It's only really later that he loses all hope and just kinda, snaps.

I know there's that one quote from chapter 6 he says, it always felt to me that he was just so cornered but still wanted to help, so he did the only thing he could. It does match something he says earlier in chapter 4

I think he values his ability to successfully help others over his continued survival. He's kinda taken Satsuki's words too much to heart, I don't think that she meant for him to carry that guilt all those years.

There's probably an entire thing about his mental state in that chapter that someone could write but that's for another day. All I will say is I'm not too keen on chapter 4 as I felt the whole thing a tad contrived in order for the shock value to keep ramping after chapters 2 and 3.

I guess the last thing we find out about Kinjo is he's changed in the last six months or so, and that was following him confronting his father. It's kinda implied that he's more distant from the other two since that event. Assuming that his contact with Syobai happened around this time, that explains why he would be distant from the other two, as he couldn't have anyone find out what he was doing.

That said, I have a head cannon that Teruya knew he was doing something fishy, but wanted to believe that he was doing it for the right reasons. You don't siphon off Syobai level fees from the company account without the accountant noticing. And considering Kinjo's attitude towards crime I can't imagine he's well versed in covering his tracks well enough to hide it from the ultimate merchant.

Also, that he seems to have trouble discerning the real Yuki from the one he met in the killing game. Despite that Yuki repeatedly telling him so and looking rather uncomfortable about it.

I hope that Linuj covers this in omake, it would be nice for him to have that closure.

I wanna say one last thing about Rei, since she's so underused this game it's actually criminal she doesn't get a lot of screen time or insight into her personality since DRA. We can tell that she's less curt, and more caring in her interactions in the prologue and chapter 6, and that in chapter 5 she's trying her absolute best to get Teruya out. But she still has her initial drive to survive above all else, which is why she keeps the exit code to herself.

But she's also still overconfident, she doesn't tell Teruya about the exit code because she's confident that she can get him out once she's out. And she definitely doesn't or he wouldn't react the way he does when she "dies".

"overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer"

And that's her downfall in the end, she's so confident that plan b, c, or d will work that she doesn't consider what will happen if she does fail.

Last bit while I was looking at other stuff, while she is blaming Kinjo here I think she's also talking to herself. After all, she's the one who left him there without a contingency plan. As we saw before, he's always relied on her in these kind of scenarios.

It's kinda funny, the only person Kinjo saved was Rei, and the only person Rei saved was Yoruko. One each, out of 32.

Damn now I'm sad. Anyway, if you've read this far congrats I guess? As I said before this is just some personal thoughts, you are free to disagree. I just really like it when things are left open to interpretation. I love these three a lot.

A: Aftercare | What is their aftercare like after a heavy round of tickling?

If you just got wrecked by Tim, chances are he'll feel enough morality to at least give you a sweet pat on the head in silent commendation for surviving his attack.

Masky, however? You'll be lucky if he even stops before you pass out entirely. He'll utter some snide remark to remind you why you should never screw with him, then he'll walk away to go on about his business.

B: Bondage | How do they react to bondage, do they enjoy it and if yes, what is their favorite pose?

Bondage? Uh-uh, absolutely not, no thank you. Tim gets exceedingly anxious when he's unable to move, and Masky is just... He likes being in control of the situation. Which is why neither man will ever ever ever enjoy being restrained in any way.

C: Chase | What are their chances in a chase, both as a lee and ler?

Considering both of them are the ones usually doing the chasing, I'd say they'd be naturally inclined to keep that up when they're looking to pounce on someone. They're rather good at it, too—the ler would be doomed.

On the other end of the stick, however? I imagine Tim would be able to find a place to hide without much trouble, due to his history of running from imminent death. Masky would refuse to be chased at all and then proceed to gut-punch whoever was attempting to pursue him in the first place.

D: Death Spot | What is their most ticklish spot?

Thighs, no questions asked. A close second would have to be the neck. Either of these areas targeted will have them writhing in 10 seconds or less.

E: Expression | How do they express their wish to tickle/be tickled?

Tim has to be feeling very playful to get the urge to tickle someone, and since he isn't exactly a physical person by heart, chances that he'll actually go through with it are unlikely. The same goes for when he desires to be tickled, which, dare I say, is even rarer than the latter. If he craves it badly enough, he'll probably just outright say it. With reluctance and awkwardness, sure, but he doesn't like beating around the bush.

'Violence' is the one word that goes through his head on repeat throughout the day; it is the solution to every problem he can think of. It really is no surprise that touching someone without intending to cause them intense agony is a foreign concept to him, and an unappealing one at that. Simply put: the only reason on this earth that he would ever consider tickling someone is if he actually cares about them and wants to bring some form of torment that won't result in serious injury. As for the being tickled, aha, never in a million years will this man let his guard down long enough for someone to be successful, nor will he want to be touched in that regard. Try it and he will commit homicide.

F: Fight | What is their behavior in a tickle fight like?

Tim is a strong dude, so unless his weakest spots are being honed in on, he will have the upper hand. Thankfully, he practices mercy, so it usually isn't a time to panic—plus, he'll let up every now and then so his opponent feels like they're actively contributing to this 'fight'.

With Masky, there is no fight. There is just plain torture. He will pin you solidly and not relent until he is satisfied. 'Nice' is not in his vocabulary, apparently.

G: Gentle | How do they react to gentle tickles?

This man— He will snort if you brush your fingers against any remotely ticklish spot. He'll also squirm, which is an amusing sight.

Pretty much the same reaction as Tim, but he's much more aggressive with his squirming.

H: Habits | As a lee/ler or both, do they have specific habits when it comes to tickling?

This only applies if the two of you are romantically involved; if Tim's feeling affectionate or clingy, he'll nuzzle your neck or any sensitive, accessible area with his beard just to hear the giddy sounds you'll emit.

Pure roughness. He's left bruises on every lee he's ever gotten his hands on and lingering pain for sometimes hours, but somehow this violence is equally effective at drawing the rawest shrieks and highest-pitched laughter. It's unbearable in literally every way. This is a talent he doesn't even consider a 'talent'.

I: Interrogation | How well would they handle a tickle interrogation?

Tim would have the capability to last quite a while, even if his worst spots are targeted. But he would break eventually, and quiet, half-stifled giggles would break into full-blown cries for mercy. He tried.

Masky doesn't beg. Like whatsoever. But he also wouldn't put a lot of effort into hiding his raspy laughter, no. Instead, he would writhe relentlessly and spew threats at his progressor while losing every ounce of self-control he formerly possessed. He's a very loud lee.

J: Joy | Their absolute favorite thing about tickling?

If he had to choose something, it would be the way it bonds him with his loved ones. Before all the Slenderman crap went down he'd always use tickling to connect with his little siblings and cousins, and occasionally for his friends. He and Brian got into it a few times in college; the former won, but Brian was a worthy opponent.

Masky absolutely does not care.

K: Killer Move | As a ler, do they have special skills to use against their lees and drive them crazy with?

This isn't really a skill, but he'll start to laugh along with his lee after a few moments and that always seems to heighten the lee's nerves so they laugh even harder.

Like I said previously: stone cold force. He will attack your weakest areas without a bit of remorse, and he'll do it till you're on the brink of passing out.

L: Laughter | What does their laughter sound like when they are tickled?

Normally, it's pretty raspy due to all the smoking, but there's this sweet—extraordinarily rare—kind of giggle you can pull from both of them, but it takes incredible precision and the exact amount of pressure. Go for the side of the ribcage with firm yet tender claw-like scratching and watch them unravel in an instant.

M: Mornings | Their tickle behavior during mornings?

If you are anyone other than his romantic partner, do not try this or he will straight up bitch slap you. If you are dating him, however, feel free to wake him up with benign pokes to the stomach and/or tickly neck kisses. It will put him in a blissful mood for the rest of the day and he may reciprocate, even in his sleepy haze.

Do not touch Masky. Seriously. The only thing keeping him going right now is a mug full of coffee. If you even threaten to do something he will snap your finger in two.

N: Nights | Their tickle behavior during nights? 

At this point in the day, this man is completely exhausted and is looking for some downtime. He would need to be exceedingly close to a person to participate in tickles, and it wouldn't be for long periods.

Masky is done, man. He's so freaking done. He's put up with everyone's shit the whole day and dealt with his own problems and is not in the mood to be all physical and lovey-dovey. You best pray he doesn't strike at this interval because he's probably out for blood.

Not...really? Both of these dudes kinda just live in the moment. Tim might shoot a text every once in a while for shits and giggles but that's about it.

For Tim, it would probably be his s/o. If he doesn't have one, he'd go solo.

Masky also typically works alone, but if he's feeling vengeful enough he'll get Johnny to join him.

Luna Lovegood and Tim I think would be a blast to watch. Luna would be super sweet yet good with her hands (plus there's the whole 'magic' that would definitely come into play), but she'd play fair too. She would push him out of his comfort zone to the point where he would be comfortable actually fighting back but it would all be in good fun.

Bahloo would be perfect for Masky because he's a literal bear and could just pin him down effortlessly and teach Masky some life lessons.

Tim hated being tickled as a kid cause it was always a way to "make him feel better". It was nurses and the people keeping him in the hospital that would mostly initiate it.

Right now I’m most heavily focused on a character study type fic cataloging different moments with Sylvie adapting to her McDonald’s life but specifically looking at her relationship with Jack, I think she would have such a great big sister vibe and they could learn a lot from each other 🥹

“Good job today, Sylvie,” Jack says, his lopsided smile clear even before Sylvie glances his way. He’s always got compliments and kindness at the ready, and he’s young and gentle enough that they’re always believable.

“Thanks, Jack,” she feels a smile curl onto her face. She still, even after knowing Loki and Mobius and B-15, feels like she doesn’t know how to have friends or family or any genuine connections at all. But Jack is the first in a long time to feel so real to her, to feel like a relationship she can stick with, with these new more permanent circumstances and her distance from the trauma of the TVA. She doesn’t remember what it’s like to be a sister, her memories of Thor long gone beyond the occasional glimmers in her dreams, let alone what being the older sister would be like, but this is what she suspects it is. A fierce protectiveness and gentle care, the ignoring of any silly flaws or naïveté because you just care about the person. That’s what she has for Jack, ever since he took her under his wing as an employee, she’s done the same for him as just a person.

“Mind if I stay here for a bit? My ma is going to be a few more minutes.”

Sylvie just smiles softly and scoots over on the wide hood of her truck, gesturing to the empty spot.

Jack nods rather sagely as he awkwardly hoists himself on to the hood of the truck, pushing himself up with his arms and then practically throwing himself on to it.

He pants softly as he adjusts to lay on his back a foot or two away from Sylvie, giving her another boyish grin. “Hey.”

“Very smooth, Jack,” Sylvie snorts.

“Your truck is huge! I’ve ridden in trucks before but yours is massive! I’m not sure how you even get up here, you’re shorter than me!” He laughs.

“My little secret, I guess,” Sylvie shrugs with a slight smile, returning her gaze to the inky sky, dotted with a trillion stars.

I’m excited to keep writing this, I’ve got some Lokius ideas in the works too but this one has been my focus for a few days!!

Xiao stops by Qingce Village from time to time on his nightly patrols, for the restless spirit of the old chi is not easily quietened. He can feel it sometimes—a sickening heat in the air, agitated whispers in the earth beneath his feet, an oppressive heaviness gathering around the edges of his vision. When the thrumming of violence starts ringing louder and louder in his ears—here, here, come here—he must chase it to its source, slay it, devour it whole—

Xiao inhales sharply. He forces the karmic binds to subside.

Qingce is a quiet little place, and it does not deserve to be tainted by an old god’s hatred.

Tonight, it is peaceful. Crickets chirp in the terraced fields, accompanied by the murmur of water from the slowly turning mill. A half-moon hangs in the sky, bathing the terraced fields in its soft, blue-white glow. Everything is as it should be. And yet…

It feels different— strangely lighter, almost, but Xiao knows that is impossible. It must be something else.

There’s a disturbance by one of the small houses near the outskirts of the village—the chi’s doing? Xiao teleports into a tree on the hill leading down to the fields, makes sure that he is hidden, and listens. There’s a muffled thump from inside the house, and he makes out the movement of shadowy figures against the light of a lantern.

“A-yun? Chongyun, can you hear us?”

“He’s passed out.”

Someone sighs. “His yang energy… what are we going to do, Zitian?” Wait. His… yang energy? Is that why—

“We can discuss that in the morning. Let him rest for now; I’ll get some water for him to drink when he wakes.”

Scuffling noises, and then footsteps growing fainter. A small figure is settled into the bed by the window. It is apparent that nothing dangerous is present—no spirits, no chi—but Xiao is distracted by something else. Because it is unmistakable now; he does feel lighter—freer. The constricting heaviness that weighs on him has lifted, as though a thousand years of karmic debt have been wiped cleanly away. In its place is the gentle night breeze, summer’s touch on the bare patch of skin on his back, the faint fragrance of qingxin in the air.

(He could, perhaps, grow used to this impossible feeling.)

He looks back at the house. There is a blue-haired boy lying in the bed, cheeks slightly flushed, his otherwise pale face illuminated by the soft white moonlight. One skinny leg sticks out from underneath a light blanket as he sleeps, dreamlessly.

So, this is the mortal whose overflowing yang energy must have temporarily rid Xiao of his karmic debt. He looks incredibly unassuming. Xiao cannot remember another human with such an imbalance of yang, even after many centuries of serving Liyue. The condition is rare, and his involvements with mortals rarer still—he may never have met the few other bearers of this peculiar gift. It is impressive, he supposes, that someone so young could have such an effect on curses so old. It is also unlikely, he knows, that he will ever see this boy again. That would be best for both of them; even a unique constitution is far from enough to withstand the nature of Xiao’s karma, and for Xiao, this brief respite has already been enough.

If it is fated, they will meet again.

He slips away before the moon is halfway across the star-speckled sky.

author's notes time! a) I have a headcanon that chongyun's family owns some kind of small house in Qingce that's convenient when they're on long trips. b) Zitian is a random name I chose for Chongyun's dad—there's no deeper meaning, I just thought it sounded nice. the 2 ppl talking are Chongyun's parents. c) this scenario wouldn't happen in my head actually LOL. I think if cy were to take a trip out when he's young, he would get sent with an older cousin or two, his parents would probably stay in their mt tianheng residence (wherever it is). idt you need a full set of parents to just bring a kid to tag along on some spirit exorcising d) rather unsatisfied with this ngl but it took me 1 week and I want to be Done with it so here you go. e) probably made up some lore in this take things with a grain of salt f) the most important thing to know about me is that i fucking love writing descriptions and inner monologues and I hate coming up with plot

Do you have any tips for getting rid of the fear of writing bc your scared of writing the characters out of character?

I feel like its really hindering me and I just don’t have the time to do as through of character research/analysis as I want but i still wanna write them while i still have motivation

First off, thank you for reaching out! I'm so happy to hear you've got the itch to write!

I think I'd offer three tips here --

A. Remember that fandom first and foremost should be about having fun. Authorial intent and canon characterizations do matter, because the creators are also people who (hopefully!) love the things they're writing. So I don't want to like...just say "screw that!" without any acknowledgement of their passion and intention.

But at the same time, we're all going to hone in on different things in a text, or in the case of say a manga, maybe read different things from a character's expression, etc etc. And fanfiction is transformative work. Some fics are like, "this was painstakingly researched and could slot perfectly into canon," and other fics are more like, "I know it isn't, but what if the smirk in panel 3 of page 8 in chapter 29 was Character A putting the moves on Character B*??" And both of those kinds of fic are fun, and have their place in fandom!! And fandom should be fun!!

B. Acknowledgment goes a long way. Slutty (affectionate) Fanon!Albert is a pretty well-established thing at this point, but I know we can't chapter-and-verse prove it from canon. If anything canon lends itself to him being sexually repressed (I'm going to write that someday, I swear). But slutty Albert is fun, and I enjoy writing him, so I do...but I make no bones about admitting easily and readily when I'm playing fast and loose with canon. I admit when I'm being silly, or pulling headcanons out of a hat, or just haven't reread parts of the series in so long that it's all a vague blur.

Just saying, "I'm not really trying to be canon-compliant at the moment" goes a long way towards settling down anyone who might otherwise feel compelled to correct you (if you're considering writing for us though, the Yuumori fandom overall is wonderfully chill and not at all prone to offering unsolicited criticism, so don't worry too much!)

C. It's pedantic and fussy of me, but for me personally, good grammar and punctuation and formatting goes a long way. A fic could be perfectly in character and I'd never get far enough to find out if I click it and it's all one big block of text, or uses dashes instead of quotation marks, etc. Now I'm a hypocrite here, because I use commas like the world is ending and they're every joy on earth rolled up into one last hurrah, but I excuse that because I'm writing in a Victorian setting and Victorian writers did that too. So I'm pretending it's a stylistic choice instead of a bad habit. 😂 But I think what I'm getting at here is: make your fic easy to read -- not in subject matter or word choice or anything like that, but in the most basic visual sense. Make it easy on the eyes, and people will stick around to get to know the characters as you write them, even if that's not overly canon-compliant. (Just from the format of your ask, btw, I think you're already doing well in this area. Your ask was easier to read than this response probably is.😅)

Nobody tells you that at the end of everything, you’ll accept anything. Jace is experiencing doubt, so he actually channels this weird form of divine intervention. It's about the possiblities, but also just the doubt that Porter will return the favor like he wants. And we all know how that does. But also. There's a universe where he's brave enough to ask Porter to stay. There's a universe where he isn't. There's a universe where Porter listens and he does stay. There's a universe where he does not.

NGL Epilogue is kinda the king of like weird offbeat and intimate peripheral details abt the mundane jaceporter life that paint such a picture in your mind. The Brooch turning up again is such a me kinda being and offbrand copycat of Jace cashmere sweater moment (but evil version). B/c its like. There's stuff about Jace being appearance obsessed in there, but there's also the reference of like. The moon and stars. Its an heirloom. Like. Porter is literally supplanting Jace's religious background (Galicaea and the moon) and his inherent magic lineage (Sol, the sun being a star and just the name Stardiamond). He's denying both of his parents upbringings (yes my Sol heritage or sol worshipper father n galicaean elf mother for jace truthrism is so real. He just seems like the type of guy who was in the TRENCHES over the evangelical / protestant vs catholic thing, but Fantasy Edition. Which is why Cassandra would fix him but that's for another time). & the desire to be covered up implies a whole thing about modesty in a religious sense. Or at the very least decorum & the heirloom is tradition. The Cashmere sweater thing is still rattling around in my mind tho. Wish it was me

"Oh / I pity you" - this is so strange but i can't stop thinking abt the way Viola says "I pity you" to Olivia in twelfth night. ("that's a degree to love" "Not a grise. The idea of missing someone so much that you're going to tighten the control on them, too, you hurt them, you betray them, you need to own them. And I'm kept is obviously b/c they're so persephades they're so married b/c marriage is a kind of death < 3

Is not that strange?" from Much Ado so compelling and lovely and funny and just. Augh. Also the sister line "I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest" what if i chew glass! I just think that's so... true for them. Porter loved Jace even among his imperfections and Porter's revulsion n aspirations n need to control. Is not that strange? And Jace despite EVERYTHING is so i love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest. He's made to love Porter. He can't even stave off the love with the rage he was made to bear. There's also something abt Porter expressing doubt I find so compelling and contradictory in its own way bc he literally wants to take the goddess of conviction's domain away.

The WHOOLLLEEE traveling into a memory thing is very Howl's Moving Castle for me. Like obviously. Especially the feeling of it being so dreamlike. But its ALSO very Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind. He's never really thought about kids too much, but he would absolutely love having one or two, and he would be such an amazing dad too. Growing up taking care of Mikey who was about as close to a child as someone can get, he's got a lot of experience with calming down temper tantrums over even the smallest little things.

He would absolutely let his kids help in his shop once they were old enough. He wouldn't let them do or go near anything too dangerous, but he would show them how all the different tools worked, and occasionally let them help with the simpler details on bikes. You'd probably have to scold him a bit though when he comes home with your kids all covered in oil and grease stains and tracking their mess into your house.

If you're sitting on the couch, he loves having you sitting on his lap, leaning your head against his chest so he can rest his chin on the top of your head. Honestly in any cuddle position really, he just loves being able to hold you close to his chest. Any time you're cuddling, he'll reach up and play with your hair.

Really down for pretty much anything. He usually lets you pick out locations for dates, but every now and then he likes surprising you and taking you somewhere that he's picked out and thinks you'll enjoy. Going to see a movie he remembered you mentioning wanting to see, taking you out for a picnic in a nearby park, bringing you to dinner at a nice new restaurant that just opened in town, etc. As long as he's spending time with you, he's happy with anything.

Better with his emotions around you than he is around most other people. He's not afraid to express how he's feeling around you. Smiles or tears, joy, anger, or sadness, you get to see it all. He knows that no matter what he's feeling, you'll stick with him through it, positive or negative. He trusts you and you trust him. He takes care of you and you take care of him. That's how it's always been with the two of you, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

F- Feelings (when did they first realize their feelings for you?)

Wouldn't realize what his feelings were for a while, no matter how early on he started feeling them. He considered you a very close friend for a long time before he thought of you as anything more. When those feelings began developing into something more, he would probably have to have a third party call him out on it before he realized how he truly felt and was willing to act on it. 

G- Gentle (how gentle are they with you?)

Big gentle giant.. He's so much softer with you than literally anyone else in his life it's scary. Sometimes when it's just you and him he'll seem like a completely different person than he is with others around. Just like any other form of affection, he won't instigate hand holding on his own, especially in public. He'll sometimes seek out your hand to hold at home if you're cuddling, but on dates, you usually have to grab his hand first if you want to hold it. Once you are holding hands though, he won't let go until he feels it's absolutely necessary. Holds your hand so softly sometimes that it's hard to tell he even is, but will give your hand a light squeeze from time to time to remind you that he's there.

I- Introduction (how did you first meet them? What were both your first impressions?)

You were a close friend of Emma's and met him through the Sano siblings when you were all still pretty young. You always thought he was extremely cool and loved hanging out with him any time you were able to. He thought you were very small and cute and enjoyed the attention he got from you, as it always made him feel special and gave him a confidence boost.

As you got older and started hanging out more with just the two of you and getting to know each other, it didn't take long for you both to develop feelings for each other.

Honestly not really that much of a jealous person. More just protective than jealous. He knows you love him and would never leave him for some random loser that decided they could try to flirt with you, so he feels he has no reason to have to feel jealous. However, if you seem at all uncomfortable or if someone is pushing boundaries, he isn't going to just stand by and watch. Jealous or not, he isn't going to let anyone get away with hurting you or making you uncomfortable.

Will occasionally give you quick pecks on the lips if he's in a hurry to get anywhere, but much prefers it when he has time to linger in much longer and deeper kisses. He did. He took the occasion very seriously, and set up the perfect circumstances for a romantic atmosphere when he did. Doesn't have any doubts about the fact that he wants to marry you. Will definitely wait until you've dated for a few years to propose, but after those few years, he's very ready to be able to call you his wife/husband. Gets such a nice ring too and you're honestly not even sure where he got all the money for it, but he did because he wants to show you just how much he loves you and how valuable you are to him. 

N- Nicknames (what do you call each other)

You usually just call him Ken or Kenny, but there's always a wide arsenal of pet names up your sleeve for any time you're feeling more goofy or romantic. Would probably go bright red if you ever called him any pet name in public. He usually just calls you by your name around others, but he also has his moments where he'll call you by a variety of cute nicknames when it's just the two of you. Love, gorgeous, baby, etc. Probably has your name set as "love of my life 💖" or something similar in his phone contacts.

O- On cloud nine (how do they act when they're in love? Is it obvious, or are they discreet about it?) 

There's not necessarily the most noticeable difference in how he acts, but there's definitely enough of a difference to be able to tell how much he cares. Any time he talks about you, he does so in such high regard, and while it's normal for him to be protective of the people he cares about, that doubles when it comes to you. He would single handedly fight an entire gang to protect you, and he doesn't care who knows that. Not at all embarrassed about how much he loves you, and no matter how many people know about it and may tease him about it, it doesn't make it any less true.

Again, does not care how many people know the two of you are in a relationship. “KIRISHIMA! DID YOU SEE ANYONE OUTSIDE MY-” he stopped, jaw dropping. Bakugo’s face turned pink, “what the hell are you two doing?”

“Studying?” Y/n gave the blond an impish grin then hid against Kirishima.

“Oh, hey, Bakugo…” The redhead blushed, glancing down at the girl under him then back to his best friend, “uh, what’s up?”

His intimidating look failed with his flushed cheeks. Bakugo looked away from the two, staring at the wall. This what not what he had expected to walk into. Clearing he throat, he peered back at the two idiots still wrapped around each other on the bed.

“Uh, you guys didn’t… uh, notice anything weird outside my door?

“Nope.”

“Uh, no, sorry bro.” Kirishima could feel Y/n’s body vibrate as she held in her laughter.

“R-right,” as suddenly as Bakugo had appeared, the door slammed behind him.

Neither cared if Bakugo could hear them as Kirishima and Y/n burst into fits of giggles. Laughter eventually subsided while the pair gasped trying to catch their breath, huge smiles still gracing their faces.

“I can’t believe we did that,” Kirishima rolled off her, falling on his back.

Pulling herself to the edge of his bed, Y/n swung her feet over the side. She grinned back at him, “you make a most excellent partner in crime, Eijiro Kirishima.”

“Thank you, brilliant mastermind, Y/n L/n.” He watched her grab the plastic wrap and tape, a twinge in his gut. “Hey, you can leave that here. I can bring it to you some other time. Don’t want Bakugo to catch you with it on your way out.”

“Oh! Yeah, thanks Kirishima,” smiling brightly, Y/n waved at him leaving him alone in his room.

Touching his lips with his fingertips, Kirishima closed his eyes remembering Y/n’s mouth on his. The way she laughed, how he felt it throughout his whole body while pressed against hers. Her concentration as she pranked his best friend. How cute she looked with her tongue sticking out of her mouth as she worked.

Opening his eyes, he looked over at the picture sitting on his nightstand of his closest friends. A grumpy Bakugo was held down in the middle by himself and Sero. Kaminari holding both Ashido and L/n in his arms behind the boys wearing dazzling smiles. Kirishima had a crush on Ashido since middle school days, but lately he had found himself increasingly enjoying L/n’s company. Maybe it was time to move on?

“Alright you numskulls,” Present Mic began his lecture, slamming a thick worn text on the front desk, “today we’re starting our poetry unit-” a collective groan echoed around the room, “yeah yeah, I think so too but its mandatory! So, here’s what we’re gonna do, you’re going to pair up and at least pretend to look for symbolism.” He turned and wrote on the board behind him. “These are the poems you’re to study. I want a list of 25 things from the works and what they symbolize. You can do all from one poem or split them up, the full directions are on the sheet I’ll pass out.”

Before Mic had finished speaking the classroom erupted in calls for partners. A loud screeching notified Y/n that someone had pulled up a desk beside her. Electric blonde hair clouded her peripheral.

“Hey, L/n,” Kaminari winked, sliding into the seat he had moved, “wanna work together?”

Her breath caught. A thick gulp followed by the clearing of her throat, Y/n managed to squeeze out, “s-sure.”

Behind the blond, Mina was sliding into a chair beside Kirishima. The sturdy hero’s face tinted pink. His vermilion eyes found Y/n’s e/c ones. A tense moment passed before he broke away, his attention returned to the pinkette before him.

The poems were relatively easy to pull apart, even if they weren’t simple to understand. The classroom buzzed with idle chatter at a mediocre level. Present Mic sat at the teacher’s desk, feet on the desk with a book in his hand and music playing on his headphones.

A few minutes passed before Y/n felt Kaminari invade her personal space. “So, you and Kirishima, huh?”

Blinking, Y/n cleared her mind of symbolic weeds from the poetry on growing up. “What?”

“You two making out, nice!” Giving her a dazzling grin and a thumbs up, his golden eyes didn’t reflect the joy he expressed. 

Y/n raised an eyebrow, confused, “how-”

“I heard from Sero, who got it from Bakugo. He was muttering into his cereal this morning and Sero ended up being boomy’s therapist.”

“Oh, uh right. It kinda… it kinda just happened.”

A golden brow arched, “you don’t seem happy about it? Do you not like him?”

“I mean, Kirishima’s great but uh… we aren’t… together,” a strange feeling began to swirl in Y/n’s stomach, “he likes Mina. Like I said it just happened.”

“So then… you don’t like him?”

She bit her lip looking away, almost whispering, “not like that.”

Kaminari was right up against her then, his thighs resting against hers, “who do you like?”

Trying to stay calm with her heart threatening to beat out of her chest, Y/n paused for a moment cracking her knuckles, “a question for a question?”

“OK?”

“Answer mine first and I’ll answer yours.” She watched him nod his agreement before continuing.  “Why do you care?”

“Just want to know who the most beautiful girl in class has her eyes on.” He said it so simply, Y/n was jealous how he managed to keep his cool.

“Right.” Y/n leveled her e/c eyes at him, unconvinced.  “The most beautiful girl.”

Kaminari straightened up, protesting, “you are!”

“The most beautiful girl who is like the only one you haven’t asked out,” came her monotone reply, “must be hella gorgeous.”

“L/n?” He slunk down into his chair, sunshine orbs locking on hers as heat traveled up his cheeks.  … I mean that's why I haven’t asked. Because you are so pretty, I didn’t think I stood a chance.”

“You asked Momo,” she accused.

“L/n?” Kaminari chuckled wryly, “why do you care who I ask out? Why are you-”

She cut him off, “because it’s you, Kaminari.”

“Me? Me what?” blond brows met in the center of his forehead.

“It’s you who I like. And you obviously don’t like me-”

“No!” His hands slammed down on the desk, gathering the attention of their classmates. “I mean, yes… I mean, no, I do like you. Yes, I like you, Y/n.”

Mouth slightly agape, Y/n stared at Kaminari while his amber irises watched her. Lost in their own little world they didn’t notice the excitement their little confession drew from their classmates. Sero snickered, dodging Bakugo’s annoyed smack. His eyes narrowed, darting between Y/n and the watching Kirishima. Shaking his head, the spikey blond mumbled loudly about people not doing their classwork. One hand clutched over her chest, Ashido shook Kirishima violently, hearts popping out of her eyes. The red head bit down on his bottom lip with sharp teeth, he looked away from the romantic scene.

“Oh wow,” Kaminari hummed, “the girl of my dreams likes me. Pinch me please, I don’t believe it…” He yelped when Y/n leant forward lightly pinching his arm.

Y/n shrugged at the pouting male before her, “you did tell me to.”

“Oh, uh thanks,” he replied awkwardly. Grabbing her hands, he pulled her towards him. Holding their hands between their chests. “So, does this mean, you’ll be my girlfriend?”

 “I-I’d love, love to be your girlfriend, Kaminari.” Y/n bit her bottom lip to keep herself from smiling like an idiot.

A wide toothy grin spread across his face, “my girlfriend should call me, Denki.”

“Okay, Denki…”

“IF YOU IDIOTS ARE DONE, SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO DO OUR CLASSWORK!” Bakugo’s roar interrupted the sweet silence.

Sero jabbed Bakugo in the side, “you didn’t have to stop and watch them.”
