yknow just thought about it and here's some stuff abt chelly that i just felt like writing out. also includes some stuff pertaining to her behavior around chip/misty. under the cut :>

since i've never mentioned it directly you'd probably assume both of chelly's parents were koalas, esp since i've drawn oakley once and he is, in fact, a big ass koala. however, that's not the case for chelly's... birthing figure. willow is actually a rabbit! chelly ended up inheriting most of oakley's physical koala traits, however, she has some physical rabbit traits too! i'm gonna start adding this in anytime i draw her since i either didn't have this decided yet or just straight up forgot to draw it when i did decide for it to be a thing; but unlike most koalas which don't have tails, chelly does have one.

it's a little rabbit tail, a trait inherited from willow! also like a rabbit, she can wag said tail; whether it be out of annoyance and discontentment, or if she's extremely excited or energized over something! :) another physical rabbit trait that she inherited from willow is the widely ranged ability to express her feelings through ear positioning! though her ears aren't as flexible as a rabbit's so it's.. a little iffy, at best. she tries though, and if you look close enough you'll be able to tell. oh, she also has the fur texture that rabbits have! she also has the tooth sharpness of a rabbit; which is a pretty big contributing factor as to why you do not wanna let her get stressed to the point of biting herself.

she inherited most of her behavioral traits from willow. chelly has a tendency to start chinning against furniture as a territorial/scent marking behavior. she only ever does it at her estate. though, uh. there were a few off occasions when she'd sneak into chip's office to sit with him while he'd work, where she'd space out and start chinning against the side of his work chair before hopping on up into his lap. ......okay she also tends to space out and start chinning against chip and misty's arms/hands/shoulders/faces. if any of those are in range then yeah she's gonna do it. they think its cute. she also tends to flop a lot. so if she's like, in chip/misty's arms or in their laps or in her bed or on the floor? yeah she's gonna go limp.

she also tends to start thumping at times. it's always to get attention for one reason or another. it can be from being upset or to warn of something. chip hasn't admitted it but the sight of seeing this tiny little lady start thumping in an attempt to signal annoyance; or as a, unfortunately, rather pathetic way to intimidate other toons or smaller cogs? it's adorable to him lol. another thing she does sometimes is get on her tippy-toes and start periscoping. don't mention it, she's just gotta know what's going on!

she will start nose nudging at times, though it always ends up turning into headbutting things. and by things i mean it's always chip or misty's hands. normally they can tell what she means by it depending on her demeanor. if she seems irritated, chances are she's jealous of someone or something nearby and is trying to keep the attention on her. if she seems fine or even happy, then she probably wants headpats from one of the two suits. or both. both is nice. it's another behavior that they think is adorable. .......she would die if she had to admit it out loud, but she, unfortunately, inherited the habit of licking. she accidentally licked misty's cheek one time when going in for a kiss and nearly exploded in embarrassment. yeah. she is doing literally everything in her power to never do it again. speaking of doing weird things directed at chip or misty... if she's extra needy in the affection department she'll start honking at them or circling around them. at first they both thought it was just tism behavior- they get it, girliepop's gotta stim! but, nope, eventually they realized it was actually an attention/affection seeking behavior. it then clicked to them that those times she started honking and circling them BEFORE they were dating was subconscious courting behavior.

helloo anon! i dont think official ages have been posted, but they have dropped some info so we could make some guesses or ballpark ages. jus be aware as a disclaimer, i’m ballparking in the dark for some more than others, so don’t take my word as the be all, end all. there r probably others with more accurate ideas abt ages. but that said, i’ll try to provide as much explanation as i can under the cut bc spoilers-

ellis: 24

kate: at least 24, maybe around 25-26

ring, nica: 25-27 (?)

liam: 26

jude: 26-28

william: 28

elbie: 29-30

alfons: 30-31

harrison: likely 27-30, but could in all technicality be anywhere from 20-31

roger: 32, as the median

darius: ??? likely a bit older than the twins but the possibility of being the same age or younger than them isnt completely off the table either

explanations under the cut

ellis is the youngest member of crown. he was 12 when he ran away from home, and that was 12 years ago. hence, that would make him 24

kate calls ellis with the —kun honorific in japanese as he is her kōhai (junior), so kate is older than 24. but as ellis is the only one she uses this honorific with in crown, she may be the 2nd or 3rd youngest

liam was 9 when he set fire on his house and lost his parents, and it was mentioned his dad was supposed to be dead 17 years ago, hence making liam 26

if ellis is 24, then roger is probably around 32— we know bc alec, the previous bearer for the curse of the thorns, died when he was 8 or 9 at the oldest. in roger’s rt its implied that one is born with a curse and is first activated from an event, and no two ppl can have the same curse simultaneously, so ellis was born (and received the curse of the thorns) after alec died. so we know from there that roger could be around 8, 9 years older than ellis

it was mentioned roger is slightly older than alfons, though there is not a solid concrete number as to by how many years, but it’s around 2 to 3 years difference

jude is definitely older than ellis, though presumably not by many years. and although this is an if event, in his dark if, kate mentions that jude is a boy around her age. if we give some leeway into that and assuming that part also applies to canon, then he would probably be around 26-28.

elbies mom took her own life when he was 6, and that’s around when the doctor started examining his dad. if alfons was still on the streets at 7 years old (implied in rogers past records), he was taken in by the doctor after he was 7. it would make alfons a little older than elbie, but its unknown by how long, but not too many years

i feel in general, alfons age is a bit wishy washy considering we dont even know his “true birthday” .. he jus picked a date (specifically the day he met elbie!) and was like “ye thats my bday now 🙂‍↕️”

will was 14 when he formed crown with victor (it’s unknown how old victor was), and 14 years have since passed. this would make will 28

heavily corrected: harrison’s dad was killed when he was 17, and that happened when william and victor were the only two members of crown. so it could have happened when crown was just founded 14 years ago, making harry possibly 31. and elbie and al were probably the first ones to join crown, for sure at least 3, 4 years ago. that would set the actual age range to 20-31. but he is likely at least 27, considering kate doesn’t use —kun with him, if we assume she’s around 26

now the twins and darius r probably like the most wishy washy guesses out of all of them. for one there’s just not much info abt them out bc theyre v new chars. buut there is some tinie clues.

there is a scene in rogers rt where he asks nica if they met before, and nica replies that he forgot. now it is just as likely that nika is lying here (as its implied he has a good memory), maybe bc he doesnt want to talk abt it or it may also be for ring, but if he is truthful then its probably the case that it was from a time when he was too young to really remember anything, which would probably make him somewhat considerably younger than roger

on rings end, during the “don’t look at anyone but me” event, ring basically asks kate to not be so formal and feels weirded out she uses —san with him (.. as she does with nearly everyone else, with exception of ellis, i think liam, and for one time only, alfons). maybe a part of it is like its in his char to not like formalities, but on the other hand, he never asks alfons to drop —san or use a different honorific with him the same way he did with kate, in the crown vs vogel event. so it may be a reasonable assumption to make that ring may be similar in age to kate .. or at least, more similar in age to kate than he is with alfons. so i ballparked them around 25-27

darius is kind of a mystery— we do know that he has, in some way, saved the twins in the past (presumably from experimentation), so the twins r indebted to him. its probably reasonable to think he is older than the twins .. probably in his 30s even?

that said, seeing as he is of a noble upbringing, as he mentioned this in one of his bond stories where hes like “ik how table manners work bc its been taught to me but i jus choose not to apply them” or smth along those lines. so he could be capable of “saving the twins” even when younger than them or the same age as them if that makes sense

I have read this very interesting post for killugon about how togashi Never leave thing vaguely / ambiguous and always confirmed the romance between queer characters, but in hisoillu case even if illumi said they were engaged, there still a lot of people who always repeat the excuse of («THiS Is jUsT fOr ThE mOnEy») even thought to togashi purposely shoose specific romantic word to describe It… this is why I wonder if you think we would be have additional elements who will confirme more explicitly their loves later in the manga?

I don't think so.

As the killugon post had mentioned, Togashi is all abt subtlety especially when it comes to hunter x hunter. Meruem and Komugi never came outright and said that they love each other. Alluka never came outright and said shes trans. and Hisoka and Illumi arent going to come outright to say they love each other.

You will ALWAYS have people that deny the existence of queer relationships/characters regardless of media. Even if you had Hisoka and Illumi kiss on camera, there is always going to be the people saying "This isnt illumi actually, its someone else in disguise!" or "Hisoka definitely manipulated him!" or "it wasnt actually a love kiss it was just obligation!" You'll never truly be free from queer erasure.

THE most explicit thing that could have been done in hisoillus relationship was to loudly and boldly announce their marriage, which Togashi did. And just like you said, people still grasp at straws to deny their relationship's existence. Thats just how its always going to be. You can easily debunk every single excuse they give you with full proof and evidence, and they still wouldn't care. The mistranslation excuse was debunked by a japanese speaking person ages ago with photo evidence and explanations and people will still call it mistranslation. They don't care about whats canon or what isn't, they only care about erasing queer characters from the media.

I think hisoillu specifically being unpopular as queer characters is because of the fact that theyre shitty people and the antagonists of the main lovable characters. Most people don't want to touch Hisoka with a ten inch pole and Illumi by association. But if you actually care and pay half a braincell to focus on their characters and interactions, you'd find that its undeniable that they've always favored each other in each and every single interaction they've had when they never do so with other people.

What I do think will be shown in the future of the manga is hisoillu's explicit collaboration against the troupe on the black whale and more of them working together in the future. Maybe they'll even mention the fact that Hisoka is part of the Zoldyck family now and it'll be acknowledged by other Zoldycks. But thats about it. And that's all we'll ever need, really. Let people cry and delude themselves all they want, but we as hisoillu fans should not need more than that to know whats canon and whats not.

The only way i see them being "more" explicitly confirmed as romantic in the future is if togashi had enough of bitches whining about it and straight up goes himself "is it not obvious" when someone asks him about hisoillus romantic relationship lmfao

in the post abt him leaving izutsumi in the dungeon to come back “if she wants to” the “nuance” i was talking abt was the fact that he said “if she wants to” i.e giving her a choice to return (which she didnt do because she hated that place obv). also sorry hes not powerful enough to abolish slavery in his country, hes not even the heir to the family. dont think the eastern archipelago is strictly based on a specific time or reality in japan, probably just inspired by reality but not based on it, so shuros family is likely one of many families serving their “feudal lord” who rules a province of the country. in history, feudal lords were also under shogun and the emperor, but neither are mentioned in the manga iirc so i will guess that wasnt the case.

my aim w my posts isnt to force ppl to change their minds on whether or not they like a fictional character. im just giving an extra perspective w stuff from extra content plus my own experience (i.e being asian too) that some people may not know about. what they do w the info is up to them im not trying to tell people how to think. if they learn smth that changes their opinion fine if they dont also fine its not that serious. im just talking about my interpretations of the character.

my main point that ive been thinking abt for a while, that has only given me confirmation bias after kotoko's t2 interro, is that she doesnt... care to acknowledge the audience. which is interesting, because you think she'd want the most to appeal to us. but she doesnt.

honestly her t2 responses Could be read as her maybe talking to the audience but its like. guessing. she never says anything that implies es isn't reading these or talking to a "you all" like fuuta does.

im sure this is gonna be cleared up or something in t3, because muu and kotoko will absolutely be hearing the voices and it will either completely debunk or prove me completely right on my headcanons about how these two specifically interact with the meta. anyway uh. ruby showed off a new skin on stream today, and theres been something ive been wondering abt with her skins, and this one in particular caught my attention because the sunglasses are darker than normal.

cherruby's eye color has just kinda become a Thing i keep squinting at since episode 4. because the episode where we get the "timeline status: unstable" message from R.C. is the same message where the clock glitches out is the same episode where we first see a hint of blue and red under cherruby's shades in the thumbnail.

their eyes are hidden again on episode 5's thumbnail, but that's also the episode where we first see the talksprites Box made, and those have visible eye colors. and then more obviously, episodes 6 and 7's thumbnails have the eye color clearly visible.

so, uh, all of that is when and after the timeline becomes unstable.

(ep4's thumbnail is also the only time the clock is at night instead of halfway between night and day and im STILL squinting at that but im trying to wrangle my adhd ass into focusing on one thing at a time)

but now it's on the skin, and that's kinda concerning. it's not very visible (hence me having to peel him), but it's there. specifically, it's there partially.

if this is sapphire, when is this happening? navigator(?) / VP is actively observing sbk and told truby about the other her that's "turning into a monkey for some reason" (lmao), but he also said that he's "not good with time", and i cant remember what exactly he said but he was distracted by SOMETHING when moving the twitchcon duo. so uh, we cant exactly trust him as a reference point for "these things are happening side-by-side". which brings up the concept of sbk being before tsmp, but that raises even more questions because does that mean Summertime is sapphire's brother?

but, no, the way cherruby talks about summertime puts distance between them, in sharp contrast to sapphire and her brother being close enough that his vanishing made xem break down. and cherruby mentioned that he does have a family back where he came from and was wondering if they were missing her. I’m not even mad, just kind of disheartened and annoyed, because I put a lot of time and work into my analysis & would LOVE to talk to another fellow edward believer instead of this!!

I don’t even mean this in a “grrr people have to cite me every time they BREATHE about edward or about something I���ve said” way, but when someone’s just grabbing my posts basically right after I make them and acting like they came up with them, it is just a minor annoyance & so this isnt meant to be a Huge Scary Angry Callout Cancelling post, I’ve just included the screenshots/evidence here so that I’m being super clear about what I’m talking about/what’s frustrating. Like it’s just a little annoying to do all of this out of pure love of the show & passion for analysis & get called a delusional idiot all the time for it, just to have people try and grab it for clout on twitter.

And it’s especially frustrating when they make tweets like this (hilariously enough, the only time they mention this “someone on tumblr” (me) is when they don’t like the content, but they can’t do that for ANY of my other analyses that they’ve grabbed):

Which, of COURSE, everyone is entitled to their own opinions & feelings on what analysis they personally want to read/that they agree with. I just think it’s a little bit frustrating for somebody to rip off my posts and then get annoyed and judgemental when suddenly the content I’m posting isn’t Catered To Them, despite it being analysis of the show + SA being a frequent feature in the ST narrative.

This is far from the first time somebody on twitter has done this (twitter users come up with your own analyses challenge), but it’s definitely the most frequent. so i have a transmasc muslim character from Malaysia, and i was wondering what the biggest no-no’s are when it comes to writing their transition? and, also, what is it like being a queer muslim in general?

being a queer and trans asian i understand enough (personal experience lol) but i was raised (unfortunately) in a predominantly catholic country that has a LOT of misinformation abt muslims. which sucks. i vaguely know that removing one’s hijab is a very delicate, sensitive thing to do. but what happens when the person no longer identifies as a woman, and wishes to present masculinely? or heck, even present a bit femininely, but still choose to identify as a man? how would a trans muslim go about presenting the way they want to, in the theoretical situation that they’re in a safe enough environment to do so?

hii <333 i want to clarify beforehand that this is a VERY sensitive issue, esp among muslims. cause us as muslims have faced enough misrepresentation as is, and some (i promise not me) may consider it insulting and misrepresentative for a queer muslim to exist (as if they dont already). just, be wary when approaching this subject

now, the issue here is that trans muslims are an EXTREME minority, and i mean extreme. not many people transition and still call themselves muslim. they either renounce islam, or hide their identities for the sake of safety. islam resembles christianity in a way—queerness is a big no-no. HOWEVER, in islam its not haram to BE these things, its haram to act like it (specifically, acting like the opposite gender. dressing like them, who you get married to, etc)

you have to be v delicate, since most ppl would not accept a trans muslim character (i say most bc there are ppl who wouldnt mind, but society as a whole generally would in fact mind)

you almost never see women decide to take off their hijab bc they dont identify as a woman. removing the hijab is taboo enough in muslim culture, but doing that due to not identifying as a woman anymore? BIG no-no

if, theoretically, theyre in an environment safe enough to do so, they still may find ppl unfriending them bc of it, or tryna convince them not to do so for their own safety

HOWEVER, i do have genderqueer friends irl who are still muslim, all of them afab. im gonna use two of them as an example (keep in mind we do live in a transphobic/homophobic society)

the first one (genderfluid but goes w any pronouns) was a hijabi before they stopped identifying as a woman, and they still wear a hijab. however, they do wear chest binders and more masculine style of clothing (e.g. no skirts). they still cover their awrah (the part of a muslim that should be covered. for men its from the navel to below the knees, for women its everywhere except the face and hands), but theyve become a lil more careless w the hijab (like wearing it looser)

the second one (he/they) isnt a hijabi, and they still have long hair. however, he also wears a chest binder, but still likes makeup and things like that. ik less abt this one cause we arent as close as me n the first friend, but thats what ik

and i also mentioned the awrah. keep in mind that men have a hijab too, just a different kind. "hijab" just means covering, n both genders have to cover personal parts. so your character may stop wearing a headscarf, but they still have to wear longer shorts n grow out a beard (and yes, growing out your beard is a must for men in islam. according to most scholars anyway, since the prophet pbuh did it)

if your character was previously a hijabi, you might make him more careless w the hijab (showing more n more hair until he eventually renounces it completely) n start wearing more t-shirts w jeans and things like that (search up "grunge hijab" n youll see what i mean)

it IS better to make a trans non-muslim in a muslim society, considering a lotttttt of muslims might find it offensive if theres a trans muslim, but obv i have no say in your character and in the end its entirely your choice <33 just be aware that its kinda like stepping on broken glass here

i (shamefully) am not an amanda-guy and dont have pretty much any headcanons about her overall so sorry about that but ill do some bullet points for the apprentices bc ive thought TOO MUCH abt this

adam

1. the most obvious PDA manifestation, though i think its strong in mark and lawrence for sure, adam just doesnt mask his. he pretty much built his life around maximizing free will and full control over his schedule

2. constantly reducing sensory input with music and being baked. his apartment is dead silent and dark 24/7 tho

3. honestly i think adam has shocking high levels of empathy. most people in his life wouldnt peg him as someone who would struggle with that but i think its what sets him apart from nearly every saw character. hes so isolated but desperate to understand and connect with other people, even if hes in the shadows

4. studies high class targets and their mannerisms. it helped him function during a few job interviews

5. hates eating, hates effort so pretty much eats like shit. very few specific, cheap, prepackaged meals that he can handle. anything that isnt a time commitment to prepare and eat

6. talks too much to overcompensate (not sure if people are able to understand what hes getting at and ends up rambling)

lawrence

1. i hc him as a narc as well which (as you can imagine) combined with PDA makes instruction/criticism/responsibility stressful so hes constantly overloaded

2. same as above, combined with asd i think its the biggest reason he has that canonical low empathy (similar to mark)

3. can only eat incredibly plain and simple foods. rice, bread, vegetables without butters/oils etc. very picky

4. very little auditory sensory issues after so many years in a hospital and needs noise in order to function (including sleep)

5. started wearing pajamas under his suits after a few years in residency because hes already tired 24/7, the terrible fabric on top of that just makes him insane

6. struggled through med school because lectures are hard to interpret and hes more of a visual learner

7. so much eye contact

8. remember that dog picture in his wallet we see for like 5 seconds? i cant imagine someone like him enjoying the texture or sporadic energy of a dog and makes it sleep in dianas room at night. its not allowed in the office and he meticulously cleans all of the dog hair the second he sees any

9. absolutely allergic to change in every way

2. he wears a lot loose fitting suits in canon which i think are for sensory reasons. he clearly prioritizes comfort with those (interesting) track pants?

3. i have joked with my mutuals about his off-putting, autistic ass stare countless times

4. terrible liar because he has less control over his facial expressions and mannerisms. he ends up making too much eye contact and thinks that brutal honesty is a good idea. he has an almost nonexistent filter

5. he reminds me of that brand of autism that a lot of patriarchs have, the kind that goes unnoticed bc theyre the head of the household. meat and potatoes his entire life, strange rituals and routines everyone has to get used to

6. extremely black and white sense of justice and a poor understanding of hierarchal authority. he doesnt get why people are above or below other people and struggles with those concepts

7. everyone in the precinct knows not to joke with mark because it will always fall flat and have to be explained. mark has rly funny but dry and blunt humor himself
