So with Roxanne being a part of the Preternatural Syndicate and the Luna's having a history fo stealing and tricking all sorts, I could see some cool interactions.

Getting back Apollo's bow. Roxanne comes into the bakery demanding the return of said bow as the Lunas were the last ones to have it. Chris offers to help as a way to make amends for his family somehow getting ahold of the important artifact. As always he makes friends with Roxanne because of his helpful nature.

A joint adventure. Roxanne comes across Chris during one of his more surreal adventures. While they don't have the same goal, Chris is happy to provide some support and even put aside his initial goal to help out a newfound friend.

Sort of adding to the first plot but a chill friendship moment where Chris gets either Apollo's bow or another important item and returns them to Roxanne. This surprises her considering his family history but he just shrugs it off with a 'it's yours. It's only right I give it back!'

I'm back at it again with my cumplane au

Airplane decided to open a separate account to earn some money through PIDW fanfic commissions, and his side account became super popular in the fandom. Cucumber-bro, being the chronically online guy, immediately commissions him with an absurd amount of money, like a whole month's rent worth of money, for him to write a fix-it AU of PIDW starting from LBH being pushed into the abyss.

Airplane was overjoyed because he could write the story he intended and still get paid for it. Of course, Shen Yuan noticed how good his commissions were and started recommending the fanfic to people in the comments of PIDW chapters. The comments were full of praises for this author and bashing Airplane, saying how much worse Airplane's writing is compared to a fanfic author.

Shen Yuan and "the fanfic author" met up one day, and Shen Yuan sugar daddy his way into Airplane's life. After a while, Airplane earned enough off of fanfic commission (but mostly just Shen Yuan) that he could end PIDW and started writing new stories.

After PIDW ended on chapter 6666, instead of raging and choking to death, Shen Yuan immediately dm Airplane and commissioned an alternative ending fic. At this point, Airplane already predicted that Cucumber would want one, so he wrote one beforehand. In the email with the fic, Airplane confesses that he's Airplane, and now that PIDW was over, he just wanted to thank his most loyal fan and anti-fan for the years they spent together and for giving him a chance to write the PIDW he always wanted to write.

Airplane was both excited and terrified to see Cucumber's response, but he did not hear back for days. After two weeks, He was depressed that he had ruined his relationship with the only person he consistently interacted with, both as Airplane and as the fanfic author.

On the third week, Airplane received two emails from Cucumber, one to his main and one to his side. The email to the main account contained paragraphs detailing all the shit he did wrong with PIDW and the last chapter. On the side account, it just said, "Response to my email as Airplane."

Airplane nervously wrote out a short but sweet message to Cucumber that identified him.

"Thank you, Peerless Cucumber, for your support! If you hate it that much, just read the fanfic I wrote for you. That one is the canon version in my eyes, anyway.

A sharp inhale is what he gets in response. Fuck. You didn't think about that. You assumed The-Herald was some stranger, not your friend. Not your crush.

"I didn't know it was you."

goth agent stone is something i've been spinning in my head for the past couple weeks... i've been into goth for, oh my god around a decade now (albeit on and off) so i hope you don't mind if i ramble some thoughts at you as a jumping off point? it's a bit of a niche headcanon so i'm delighted to share it with someone ;; this is a bit of a long one sorry so feel free to ignore it lol i won't be offended

i can imagine stone as having quite a corp goth lean: pinstripe pencil skirts, black trench coat over a suit, cat eye sunglasses, eyeliner!! that sort of thing. not all that different to what he usually wears, just... spookier! i can imagine him in a lot of black leather too, given the whole motorcyclist thing. robotnik might be similar but with more DRAMA. he's a supervillain he's got style he's got flair he's got ribcage patterns sewn into his jacket.

and since stone's someone who sews (and is clearly quite good at it) he'd have so much freedom!! can't find the perfect ruffly blouse? make one! in the '80s especially goth fashion was about hand me downs and DIY he'd be so at home

as for music!! that's the real heart of it. i can imagine them both enjoying the classic, 80s goth roots type of music but i've always pictured robotnik as having an industrial/metal/rock lean. stone feels like he'd be happy listening to whatever robotnik wants to listen to, honestly, as well as some of the dreamier stuff like cocteau twins. music to sway and yearn to.

but uhh anyway if you want a peek into goth culture i'd recommend watching or reading interviews with bands like specimen and fans at the bat cave or just on the street, there were a lot of news outlets that interviewed goths back when it was this really crazy new thing. i'm especially fascinated by the ones from the '80s but there's some excellent modern bands too :-3 and for a look into '90s and 2000s goth there's of herbs and altars' storytimes, please mind the content warnings on them because they're quite heavy but i credit dorian with getting me back into goth after i'd basically abandoned it in my teens.

i did a little happy dance when i saw you were thinking of looking into this stuff, i'm very passionate and this is really just scratching the surface. i could go on and on as all my friends are very aware ;; but i'll stop now. thank you so much if you read all this

"Schat, I'm 100% sure. I don't want to hide any longer, this has been going on for too long. It's about time," Max calmed his partner and hugged him. The couple went into the living room, where Aart had already set everything up. Now or Never.

The interview went well and everyone was relaxed. Max told how he and M/N met and how they went from being friends to lovers. At some point the three of them started talking about Jos. "How did Jos react when you told him that you were gay and had a boyfriend?" asked Aart and Max stiffened for a moment. Aart noticed this. "We don't have to talk about him if you don't want to, Max. This is your story." Max shook his head and tried to collect himself. He took a deep breath and started to tell his story.

"I didn't tell him for a long time because I didn't know exactly how to tell him. I told my mother right at the beginning and she always supported me. I also think that she likes M/N more than me," said Max, making the others laugh. "She knew about my struggle to tell Jos. I avoided him for a while and then at some point he confronted me after the race and then it just burst out of me. The hide and seek game became more and more difficult for me and when he asked me more questions I just couldn't keep it to myself anymore," Max finished his monologue and glanced at you. Your smile calmed Max down.

"And what did Jos say then and how did he react?" Aart asked curiously and Max laughed humorlessly. "He was completely confused at first and thought I was joking. Let's just say he's slowly getting used to the idea," said Max and you decided to take a break. "I'm proud of you, baby," you whispered and Max kissed you softly.

After a short break, the interview continued. "Why did you decide to make your relationship public now?" asked Aart and you cautiously looked at Max. "That's actually the sad part of the story. M/N and I wanted to enjoy the break in peace and were in Hasselt. We were on the beach with my mother in the evening and just enjoyed the time. Unfortunately, there were also people there who don't like me and they took a photo when we kissed. We didn't even notice the people and a few weeks later I got a DM on Instagram with the pictures. One guy of the group wrote that he would publish the pictures. We talked about it for a long time and then I made the decision to make it public. We don't want to be blackmailed, I'm not ashamed of being gay, I just wanted some privacy," Max finished and felt a huge weight fall from his shoulders.

Christmas had arrived in Hawkins. The snow was falling casting in the town in an image of a perfect winter wonderland. All Eddie had heard for the last couple of days was festive tunes and jingles, he did like Christmas but this was a bit much.

He couldn't exactly say that he had the best Christmas growing up, when his mom was around it felt special to him, she adored Christmas and Eddie loved that it made her happy.

Then he was left with just his old man and those were the worst times, Uncle Wayne was his bubble of safety and normality then and now. Thanks to uncle Wayne his love of Christmas has returned slowly.

Did that mean he wanted to be driven crazy by hiliday tunes? No. Then there was his enemy of the season. Mistletoe.

All week he had seen giggly, kissing and loved up couples, they were driving him mad. It made him grumpy and twitchy and he avoided the cursed plant like the plague.

At least when he was in the drama club and safely ensconced in all things Hellfire Club related he could relax. He had spent some time earlier setting up for the campaign and it was a good one, a mini adventure which was Christmas themed of course and very exciting.

For a few hours he could be in total DM mode and nothing mistletoe related could happen...

At five o'clock on the dot Dustin arrived with Lucas and Mike, then everyone else hurried in. Eddie ignores the way his heart skips a beat when he sees you.

"Gentlemen and ladies welcome to this special edition of Hellfire, where we can enjoy the delights of our new festive themed quest and avoid the evil plants of doom... I swear If I see one more hint of mistletoe I'll..."

"Eddie" you say softly and that captures his attention as you point up to the ceiling, he stops mid-rant and his eyes bug out as he sees the mistletoe hung above him. No. Jesus H Christ, no.

The mistletoe was directly above you and Eddie.

His eyes narrow and he looks around the room immediately suspicious, Jeff and Gareth are sniggering to themselves but stop at the look on his face.

"Who did this?" he hisses to the rest of the group and looks at each of them in turn. No one is owning up to putting the mistletoe there and that frustrates him even more because that dreaded thing wasn't there at any other point of the day.

It wasn't there when he was setting up earlier, no pesky mistletoe was in sight and yet now it was just casually hanging above his head, directly above his chair. "That wasn't here earlier, so one of you little shits did this" he snaps.

He could feel himself sweating as you peered up at him, fuck. It's not like he didn't want to kiss you, he really wanted to but he highly doubted that you wanted to kiss him. Why would you?

"We don't have to do this" he says to you, he would never want you to feel pressured into kissing him. He was going to kill (the character) of whoever did this in the most violent way possible.

"Eddie" the way you say his name makes his knees turn to jelly, his usual confidence and don't give a fuck attitude is long gone and now he's terrified.

You see Eddie was totally smitten with you but didn't realise you were equally smitten with him. Which is what brings us to mischievous elves (Hellfire members) plotting this escapade.

Then your lips meet his and he swears his brain short circuits just for a second, he melts into the kiss and then he's kissing you back and you let out a soft moan that goes straight to uh...places and he wants nothing more than to just keep kissing you.

"Ugh that's enough dude, gross" Mike groans and Eddie reluctantly pulls away from you, feels pleased with himself that your lips are all kiss bitten and your eyes mirroring his in complete lust and adoration.

"About time" Gareth sags in relief, now the two of you could stop tiptoeing around your feelings for one another. Eddie sends him a death glare but completely softens when you take his hand and lean across to whisper in his ear.

"We're totally doing more of that later" your gaze is full of need and a tiny bit of mischief and it may be the first time that Eddie has ever wanted to speed run through a campaign. He couldn't wait for later but for now he had to get into DM mode.

If only you would stop looking at him like that, all impish and beautiful then he might be able to concentrate.

While he's making moon eyes at you for a few seconds Dustin, Erica, Lucas and Mike huddle together and discreetly high five.

"Mission accomplished" Dustin beams until Erica frowns and lets out an exasperated huff. "Yeah sure, like you bunch of nerds could have done this without me" Lucas is about to argue but Erica stops him.

"Nope, don't say a word dumbass. I hung the mistletoe because I'm not afraid of Munson like you three are, so this is down to me" She takes a mini bow and leaves the three boys gawking at her as Eddie finally starts the session.

Help me get my phone's screen fixed!!

HEY UM.. i hate to have 2 ask for more money Again but my phone's screen is getting . kinda busted. i cracked it a few months ago, and I was gonna get it fixed, but since my phone's so new it was gonna be absurdly expensive just for a screen replacement. I decided I'd just wait another year or so to get it repaired, but THEN at some point while it was in my school bag, somebody most likely bumped into it, causing that black spot around the camera to form. It was smaller a couple weeks ago, it's been slowly expanding ever since.

I'd really like to get this fixed before it gets REAL bad, but theres no way my parents can spare the money, it's like 250 bucks at least. I'll be advertising my commissions so I can raise the money myself.

(by the way, the screen isn't ACTUALLY stuck all white like that lol, I just used a blank ibis canvas so that way you could see the cracks and black spot easier.)

Some notes on some stuff

An update on creative pursuits:

I can now honestly admit that part of me never thought I'd be able to say this, BUT! Adore part 3 is now completely written. Let me be clear, at no point did I give up on hoping and wanting to finish it, but for a while in the past year it felt like an absolutely insurmountable task that I would never wrap my brain around. I want to give myself some time to sit with it, so it's not getting posted yet, but I will give a tentative, rough estimate of late March or early April for the first chapter. Surprise surprise, it's the longest instalment yet, at over 60k words.

Concerning binding and other transformative works:

I've had a few inquiries about binding Adore verse and I don't think I've answered most of them (sorry!), so I'll just say this:

I give blanket permission for anyone to create a binding, podfic, translation, or artwork of any of my stories. I don't even mind if you don't ask me first, as long as you tell me about it once you share it. In the case of bindings, I'd love to be sent a copy, if at all possible. In the case of any other works shared in online spaces, I'd just like for you to include a link back to the original work on AO3. And for translations, I'd prefer that it be kept on AO3 itself, because I really am not a fan of other fanfic hosting websites. If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a DM, and don't be shocked if it takes me several weeks to respond, because that's just how I roll.

My Experience Working as an Artist at Santae

Just want to start off by saying that this is simply my personal experience and that anything following the cut is simply my own opinion based off of that personal experience. Readers are encouraged to please employ their own critical thinking and taking many grains of salt when reading another person's experience, mine included. Anyway, my feelings and experiences following the cut.

To start off when I applied to Santae I was really excited to be a part of the project. It's a project that has a lot of promise and it seemed to set itself apart from other petsites I've played in the past. I was really eager to try and be a part of it and participate in the growth of the site and community.

When I joined the server I received the typical greeting - CJ pings everyone to welcome new staff not unlike a welcoming party. It was a bit overwhelming but seemed well-meaning.

There were a lot of little red flags that sprouted up after my joining that I ignored or tamped down writing them off as caused by stress or seeing them as things that could be grown from. (Badmouthing past management, poor communication, etc..)

I can't and won't go into massive detail about everything that put me off and drove me to finally split ways because it would be splitting hairs after a certain point and I also just don't have the time, energy, or care to go through things with such a meticulousness. This post is mostly to warn others who may be thinking of applying what to expect and to cast a little transparency on the work environment. There are a lot of allegations going around and understandably a lot of people are afraid to speak up. I've already quit so that can no longer be held over my head (but we'll come back to this) and the worst that will happen is I'll become a social pariah on the site, or my account will be banned. (Kind of expecting this, so if Kasper #2468 gets iced just know it wasn't by my own hand lmfao. If my KS backing and SC earned by commission get nuked in retaliation ig it's a consequence I'm willing to accept.)

To the friends I've made on the team and the folks that reached out after I quit and removed from the server - I'm glad we met. And thank you to the former coworker who offered to post my goodbye for me after reaching out to me in DM (I declined because I didn't want anyone being ~ tainted~ by association lol) I was in the middle of typing a goodbye when I was unceremoniously removed from the server. When I joined staff got to say goodbye and some even hung around for weeks after parting ways, but since Sky was removed without being able to say goodbye it seems like being instantly deleted might just be the new standard. Not to mention the other artist who was just removed overnight without even a comment. To everyone else, I kind of assumed our camaraderie was as fickle and transient as my time on the team and wasn't surprised to be proven right. I'm sure it doesn't help that (in my experience) CJ has a habit of hopping into VC to badmouth anyone who doesn't align with his vision.

Anyway this is super disjointed already. Let's get onto some specifics.

"You didn't even need reply ^_^"

I mentioned that the pings were stressful because we had already received multiple about this 'game' and it was getting stressful. When I mentioned that, I got a passive aggressive dm and followup about it afterwards. I will also note that a coworker added an agreeing 'react' to my post about the pings which cj then. removed. lol. I did not reply to the message bc by now I was tired of the manipulation games.

Commission Discomfort

I held off confronting about this for a long time because I feel that CJ does not take confrontation well and didn't want to make things worse for myself of others but by the end I was nearing my limit and needed to enforce a firm boundary.

I did some graphics work under the expectation that I'd be getting a divine figurine for it and had to follow up multiple times as usual, at which point CJ tried to pin it on a fellow artist coworker 'making him uncomfortable'. This is a common trend with poor communication on the team.

"management" would prefer that staff not commission site artists. This just always rubbed me wrong, especially after the, in my opinion, territorial behavior over me doing commissions. I also dmed some coworkers about it since he said he'd 'tell all the other artists' but no one else had gotten any similar messages from him.

Streaming in Server

When I started it was pretty casual for art staff to stream site work or personal work in the vc. I stopped streaming personal things after the first uncomfortable dm I got when working on an offsite comm and stuck to santae only work from then on. I don't have a screenshot of my own that I can use for this unfortunately but cj sent a message saying

"Hey @ artist @ lead artist @ lead clothing artist I would like to stop streaming art in the staff voice chat channel as technically the behind the scenes is for BMaC so it's just a gray area, however I would love if you all still wanted to stream but would like you all to stream via our Twitch platform or TikTok

Login credentials will be provided as well.

This is a perfect time to stream with the referral contest live it would be very beneficial I believe.

If you would like to stream please reach out to me, There will be SC pay for streaming, 5sc per hour with a max of 4 hours per day and max of 10 hours per week per artist :dravalove: your normal pay rates also apply this is just additional :heart:"

When the most recent artist to stream asked about back-pay for the stream done for the site the response was a gif of an empty wallet and a crying shimmerint emoji. These messages were later deleted.

further commentary as follows -

The only reason anyone noticed he deleted his messages was because in voicechat when other staff were asking why we don't steam anymore he said 'oh I deleted that' and then said that we can stream again in vc. This was followed the day after that vc by the following

CJ not only shared images to the BMaC in my time, but also would take the images directly from the art approvals channel and drop them into the staff vc anyway to show them off to whoever was around. Frankly this felt like shit every single time and felt like he just wanted the dopamine hit of people complimenting the art. Rarely were we credited during the fawning, too.

A fellow staff reached out to ask why I wasn't around as much, this staff member was in the same vc where he said it was ok again. CJ in my opinion likes to say things one way publicly but then if there's an issue he'll take it to dms or involve as few people as possible. To me his public and private faces are very different.

Final Straw

As you can see, they're clearly the same, lol. I will also mention that these plush items take twice as long to do and require more revisions than other items. On top of that I have concept art that I can't share due to NDA of the heartstruck concept - full roughs of the pets that I was not compensated for in any way. None of this was discussed prior to me starting the work which is my own fault and not a mistake I'll make again. I spent days, long consecutive hours working on the concepts before I could even start on the plush themselves. This time and the work I put in will remain unpaid.

Something I noticed while I was putting this together is that CJ has deleted at least one message from our dms, which is funny because the message I noticed got deleted is one that I had originally read as being sent with the intention to manipulate -

I have also been reached out to by a former coworker with a 'message from cj' which I declined. Respectfully, I've got you blocked for a reason man. If I had to guess he probably feels like there's something he needs to smooth over to cover his ass but I'm just not interested.

Overall my experience on art staff was quite stressful and the environment definitely felt like there was an in- and out- crowd that was decided by how present you are in vc and how willing you are to participate in the toxic positivity and bobble-head nodding. Also, getting frequently misgendered to your face and behind your back is a special kind of torture.

Anyway, I could probably ramble on more about the time he burst into voice call while I was in there with a coworker and ranted about another coworker for like 20 minutes totally ignoring me before just leaving, or how he's always talking shit about people behind their backs (hi new admins) but not to their faces but I don't have receipts for any of that. Nor energy. And besides there are other places where folks air their grievances and allegations if that's what you're looking for. So I guess I'll leave it here, take care y'all.

Hey everyone. I'm really upset rn but much longer description of this fundraiser below the cut as it's quite the ramble.

My private PhD funding was immediately cut without warning this week, leaving me with no option but to crowdfund the next half year of studies (Sept-Jan 2024/5).

As suggested by some friends, I have made a crowdfund for my tuition fees for the next academic year. I have only listed half a year's tuition to start with as I will be on fieldwork next year, and will have a slight reduction in fees over that period. If I need to by then I will start a new fundraiser but I want to be totally transparent about how much money I am raising and where it is going.

I need to have the full amount raised by early September. Anyway this is a massive amount of money and if I even get close I'll be grateful. I am looking at every possible open funding option, I have considered a loan but wasn't eligible (both in SG and UK). This is a really a mortifying last resort. I'm sorry.

Over this period I will be opening my books for editing and writing commissions again. Please watch this space for announcements, I cannot start immediately as I'm currently at a really busy point in the term.

Anyway, thank you for reading this far. I'm holding out hope I get academic funding at some point in the next few months because I can't fathom the thought of my entire life crumbling around me again.

Japanese QL Corner

We are up to seven live airing QLs from Japan! Five of these are on Gaga and two are being generously provided via fansubs.

A brief interlude for me to climb on my soapbox: if you are a fan of Japanese queer media who is not based in Japan, you really should be supporting GagaOOLala. They are the sole international distributor of most of these shows and the only reason international fans can watch them as they release. They’re a queer-owned Taiwanese company specifically focused on providing international access to global queer media, and their monthly subscription is much cheaper than other streaming services. They’re not perfect but they are quite responsive to feedback about their catalogue and approach; please consider subscribing if you love these shows!

I’m really loving most of these shows and I highly recommend jumping in to the weekly watch!

Takara's Treasure

I fall more in love with these two every week. We finally got some answers on Takara's backstory, and as expected, it is the mother who abandoned him that has been harassing him. Taishin blazed in to give that lady a piece of his mind before even realizing who she was, and it only made Takara love him more. The revelation that Takara is holding back with Taishin because he doesn't want to be covetous like his mother sent me into a bit of a tailspin. I loved Taishin getting his moment to reciprocate Takara's care, as well as Takara's amusement that Taishin still hasn't pieced together what they are to each other. I'm excited for it to finally click for him soon.

Sugar Dog Life

I'll be honest, this first episode did not hit right for me. I always struggle with copaganda heavy romances, especially when the show is intentionally framing cops as benevolent and explicitly linking that to the romantic arc. But I liked the cooking parts of it a lot! We'll see how it proceeds. This one is being fan subbed, so if anyone is having trouble finding it feel free to hit me up in DMs and I'll point you.

Cosmetic Playlover

This one is coming in hot with two episodes a week, because Japan is trying to kill me. I like the concept and vibe but the execution is a bit all over the place; it feels like they want this to be a dark story but aren’t willing to fully commit to that, so dark things happen but then get treated too lightly. The pacing also feels a little wacky and we’re rushing through plot and relationship development in a way that leaves it all feeling a bit ungrounded. Sahashi went from harassing and threatening to out Natsume to kissing and claiming to be serious about him in the space of 15 minutes, and then suddenly in the next ep there’s a new villain and suspense plot. This one is just not clicking; I’m tilting my head with a furrowed brow.

I Hear the Sunspot

Sigh. I really didn’t need another arc about a third party interloper coming between the boys, but here we are. Maya is a throwback to the bad old femme fatale archetype steeped in misogyny and I don’t love it. She’s arrogant, manipulative, and mean for no good reason, and she doesn’t feel like she fits in this story about decent people trying their best. There was a way to do this plot with a more sympathetic portrayal of her, but unfortunately they didn't take that route. I’m disappointed that she’s with us for multiple episodes, and it’s hard to believe this rude little girl can really come between them. I said last week that it felt like they regressed Kohei and Taichi’s relationship in the time skip and I’m feeling that even more now. Aside from this mess, I really liked all of Taichi’s scenes with his friends this week as he continues trying to work out his feelings for Kohei. I hope we get back to Taichi and Kohei spending time together again soon; that’s the real heart of this show and I already miss it.

Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko

Sigh. Last week I was mad at the characters around Hiroko, but this week I am forced to be mad at the show for how it's dealing with this entire plot involving Hiroko's decisions about her privacy at work, Risa's inappropriate interference, and Ayaka's bizarre conclusion that she should announce her love for Hiroko to the whole office. This whole love triangle and forced outing plot was ill-considered and it's dragging the show down; we should not have had Risa being so wrong and manipulative or ventured into queer workplace politics at all if the show wasn't prepared to take it seriously. On the plus side, we finally got the backstory for Hiroko, and it was surprising in a good way. I hope this show can get back to the zany comedy it was doing so well before it got bogged down in all this mess.

Mr. Mitsuya's Planned Feeding

Episode 3 just went up on @isaksbestpillow's blog, and it's a fantastic one. I was howling watching Mitsuya wailing on his ex and poor Ishida trying to process this new rival on the scene. Shige continues to be the MVP and I loved the way he encouraged Ishida with a mix of sage advice and sexy sass (also loved that Mitsyua immediately knew that gossip ratted him out). And I screamed again when Ishida got worked up and confessed; I didn't expect that to happen so fast and it was excellent! This show feels so mature in the best way; I really feel like I'm watching adults who have lived.

Animal helmet commissions open!!!

Hey everyone!! I'm saving for a vacation my friend invited me on for March, and I need some extra income. If you have ever wanted a fake animal head as a helmet, whether for costuming, LARP, general cosplay, I'm open!!

These helmets are made from a baseball hat base covered with foam, hot glue, and faux fur. This allows them to be very lightweight and easy to wear. The helmets are painted in a few areas, with the foam sealed so the entire thing is weather-proof! The fur is colored with alcohol markers to make it both water-resistsant and fade-resistsnt. They are lightweight, sturdy, and hold up well in LARP combat.

I'll do any animal with fur! Any animal at all! Turnaround time is 2-2.5 weeks!!!

thistle as the dm of course. they're a very exacting dm who actually makes them keep track of shit like how much their packs weigh and how much XP they get with each monster they kill and EXACTLY how much money they have down to the last copper piece, and they made up the resurrection curse situation bc they want to be able to kill the pcs but they don't want the players to have to write new ones every time

our party has been playing together for a while when suddenly falin is really busy with a work project so she can't play for a few weeks. thistle is like "no worries I'll just have you get eaten by a dragon <3"

marcille has a bunch of high-level spells that she got because she thought they would be cool but she never fucking gets the chance to use them. all she uses is level 3 fireball

some people say dnd is about writing a story together but chilchuck is in this to win. he's always calling the rest of them nerds for knowing all about this dnd stuff even though he's Also Here, Playing DnD

unbeknownst to the rest of them laios has been an active part of some avid online discussions lately about which dnd monsters would be the best to eat. and that's where he met senshi, they became friends online, and when they found out they lived near each other + falin had to take a break laios invited senshi to join the new campaign

senshi hasn't played dnd in years but he's really missed it!!! and he still has his character all ready to go

Hello everyone, I wanted to put together a nice, low-pressure event dedicated to my fellow wlw self shippers for one week of June because it's pride month, babey!! This is the first time I've ever tried to 'organize' an event, so take it easy on me, I'll try to be as communicative as possible and if anyone has questions about it, asks and DMs are always open!

On to the details! Its gonna last from Monday the 10th through Friday the 14th, and anyone can opt in or out as they see fit! No one is obligated to participate throughout the entire week or from the beginning alone, just do what you feel like!

FICMAS - DAY 4 - CHRISTMAS WITH HIS FAMILY

Title: Scottish Christmas

Synopsis: Going to Johnny's Mother's house for Christmas.

Warnings: I need to say this before ANYONE, especially someone who IS Scottish reads this. I AM NOT SCOTTISH. I DO NOT CLAIM TO BE SCOTTISH. I researched off of a glossary of slang derived from Scots English and Scots (Scots, Scots English, Scottish Gaelic, and English are ALL spoken in Scotland) and there is no clear location that Johnny is from within Scotland, so I kept it very general, and used slang to make up for my lack of knowledge. If ANY OF IT IS INCORRECT AND YOU NOTICE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DM ORSEND AN ASK CORRECTING IT, I don't like being wrong and I don't want to offend anyone. Happy reading and Merry Christmas

AN: I tried to write this best as possible, I'm so sorry but it might be inaccurate to some degree, I'm merely an American (not to mention currently in busy because of the season) who's trying their damnedest to make this seem really accurate, yeah?

You're in a sweater--red--and jeans, your coat hanging over it all and black. Johnny is beside you, still struggling with his mittens a little, fidgeting because after all, this is the first time you're staying for more than a dinner with his *parents.* Your suitcase is behind you--obviously with the matching pajamas Johnny forced you into for Christmas photos because "His mam will simply die if she doesn't have a good photo!" Along with other effects, the things you'll need for the next bloody week.

Johnny fixes his mits entirely and grabs your gloved hand, reaching up and knocking on the door. He makes sure the cross his mother bought him for his 18th birthday is visible. He adjusts his cross, then his sweater.

Johnny's mom opens the door, pleasantly surprised to see you both.

"Ah! You're here!" She says with the largest grin, ushering your both inside.

"Johnny, lovie, go set your gifts by the tree, yeah?"

"'Ey, Mam, missed ya, too," he remarks with a devilish smirk, causing her to glare.

"You're lucky your thlittle burd is 'ere, keepin' me from yellin'. Love ya, too, John."

He shudders from his real name being used and walks off, trudging about in his snow boots all through the house. It makes his poor mother, Mrs. MacTavish, clutch her little necklace and scoff.

"D'ya see 'im? 'E's draggin' snow 'round the feckin' hoose," She says, absolutely offended by his actions.

You shrug, "He's like that at our home, too," you admit, taking your coat off.

Mrs. MacTavish scoffs, shaking her head in disdain, "Ye poor thin', 'ere, I'll take yer coa' an' ye go sit yers'lf doon."

She practically snatches your coat from you, pointing to where to take your shoes off.

You make it about.. three steps from the living room entrance and then you're positively bombarded by Johnny's three nieces and nephews- or, at least, the ones currently walking--Amelia, Noah, and Fraser. Johnny's sister shouts for them in Scottish Gaelic, sighing as those kiddos just don't listen.

You laugh as you're tackled to the ground, each one shouting "aun'ie," or "Aunt!" or your name horribly butchered by those cute little toddlery, Scottish voices.

You hug them all, slowly getting back up from the ground, to go say hi to his sister.

"Hey, Eden. How are you?" You ask, giving a nice, polite grin to her.

She smiles fondly, "'Ello- Haw! Simmer doon, 'Melia, aff yer brot'er!" She cuts herself off, glaring daggers to Amelia, who's currently tugging the hair of her brother, Noah.

She looks back up at you, "'M dooin' brand new," she says with a sarcastic glint in her eyes, before her newest baby who's she's currently bouncing in her arms starts to fuss.

She coos to him, before sighing and kissing his forehead, singing him some nursery rhyme to try to calm him.

That's when you feel two arms snake around your waist and pick you up, causing you to yelp.

"Johnny!" You shout out in a panic, squirming as he laughs and laughs. Eden's baby turns his little head and looks up all wide eyed, starting to laugh and laugh.

Eden seems to relax, sighing in relief while you're being brutally attacked loved on by Johnny.

You finally turn around to face him with that unamused expression you give him and he sighs, wrapping his arms around you and nuzzling your neck lovingly. You let out an annoyed huff, rolling your eyes with a small grin.

Dinner that night is lovely--a nice brisket with the promise of a big Christmas dinner tomorrow. Tonight Eden, the kids, and Mrs. MacTavish all bake a mince pie, a Scottish tradition you never really.. understood.

You sit beside Johnny, curled up to his side, his feet on the ottoman. He has an arm wrapped around you, rubbing your shoulder as he and Mr. MacTavish, along with his brother-in-law all gather around to watch whatever Rugby match played earlier in the week--the highlights of it. Your eyes shut and you snuggle up to his side a little further, wrapping an arm around him and letting yourself fall asleep.

He looks happy down at you, sipping on a (spiked) eggnog, reaching up to stroke your hair as you start to just... drift.
