Otherworld Visited [Gohan x Tifa, Buu Saga AU]

cc-gohan “Hey Tifa, I heard from Dende that you visited your parents in the Otherworld, how did that go?”

Tifa saw Gohan approach, her eyes lighting up at his question.

"Yeah--! Yeah, I did..."

It had been an incredible and shocking experience. One moment, she was home, the next, she was traveling the Otherworld, told that she had been granted this chance to see her parents. Her mother was beautiful as ever, healthy and strong as they embraced for the first time since Tifa was a child. Her birth father was someone she was too young to meet. He had died on their home planet. She only knew him from stories.

Meeting him had her heart swell.

It was an odd thing, seeing her birth parents together. But also seeing her stepfather, too. Somehow, their three spirit made it work in the afterlife. Her dads(?) got along like buddies, her mother telling her not to think too deeply about the whole thing. What mattered was they were at peace and all proud of her.

They couldn't linger too long, but the time she spent with the three of them, telling them stories of her growing up and getting strong, of meeting Prince Vegeta and being taken care of...those were moments she would always remember. She did ask her human dad while he didn't resurrect, to which he explained he was at peace with his life and wanted to remain in the Otherworld with her mother. It was sad, but she understood, after seeing how happy they all were.

"It was..." Tifa tried to say, a smile on her face as she recalled the interaction. "....perfect."

"I see, I'm very happy for you, TIfa!" Gohan replied cheerfully, especially since that talk he had with Tifa about her parents, he did not sense that invisible weight on her like he did before.

"We deserve something like that after we saved the universe from Buu so..." he added, accidentally letting slip out that he knew more than he should.

(Kid) Gohan: Wow! She’s so cool and strong, like Mister Piccolo and my dad!

(cc) Krillin: She’s cute! I better keep bringing my A game so I have a chance with her!

(cc) Piccolo: That explosive anger, it’s like Gohan’s. If we can use that to our advantage too, we’ll have a better chance to survive before Goku gets here.

(cc) Vegeta: What a waste, she would have been a fine mate. I suppose she will just have the honour of being killed by me, Nappa can deal with the rest.

// Young & Powerful [Gohan & Angel] - Part 6

"Okay!" Gohan replied, glad Angel was understanding of his blunder. He gave a nod, understanding that Angel and her family took their own approach to dealing with the crisis of the Cell Games coming soon.

"Oh, thanks!"

He knew they ordered a lot of food, but it didn't really hit him at just how much until they had to move an extra table to fit all the food, he felt bad for not helping out and just waiting there watching, hopefully his dad will be back soon.

"Hey Gohan, I found two of the dragonballs! Wow, right in time for food too!" Goku suddenly teleported in via Instant Transmission, putting the two orange balls to the side as he drooled a little over the food.

"Thanks for all the food, it looks and smells delicious!"

At this point, Gohan was too hungry to remind his father to not teleport in and out so they do not freak out their servers. So they started eating, Gohan held back and ate more, politely knowing Angel and her family would probably be watching, he wanted to keep a decent impression of himself at least. His father? He was a lost cause and ate like he was starving for a week.

"Oh man that hit the spot! Did you eat enough Gohan?"

Gohan gave his dad a silent nod after they finished everything, feeling embarrassed as he walked over to ask and pay the bill, luckily his mother gave him enough money for them to eat out without restraint.

Angel smiled at his concern. Not many people took her large ears to consideration when making noice which caused more harm than good of course. She was not invited to many events which in turn made her feel left out for one. But having him realize how loud it must’ve been and apologizing made her feel a lot better.

“It’s ok. Not many people know about my hearing till something happens.” She explained before going to gather the remaining ingredients she had finished producing.

“We noticed a few people acting out more because of it too. My grandparents say it’s because they think they feel like they should do what they want if the world’s going to end. But I’m not giving up. Maybe there will be a superhero that shows up at the last minute to save everyone.” She pondered before realizing the time and following him back inside.

After some help in the kitchen, it took all three members of the family to bring out the dishes that were ordered. At one point, the lad to place another table beside them to fit all the food.

“Take as much time as you need to. And let us know if you need anything else.” The older man said with a kind smile before gently ushering Angel back to the kitchen to help clean up. As there was a crisis going on, there weren’t many going out to eat. So there was plenty of time to clean between the ones who did show up.

GDI it was so nice for me to wake up to asks for my Gohan @cc-gohan on his birthday. Especially since I thought his birthday was on Gohan Day, whoops lmao. Also awesome to see mentions of Gohan's birthday on my dash!

Like with Mother's Day, I'll be extending (starting) interactions/asks for it to over the weekend, Of course, I'll also be sending my muses (like Krillin) over to any Gohan's I follow too!

[Alright, since this one will be longer, I’ll shove it under a readmore :P. some small and big shit.]

I won’t. The joke is too easy. That’s low hanging fruit lmao.

I know this is Hedo’s naming scheme but kill me now plz. How many beta male jokes have already been made uuuugh.

This was my favorite moment in the chapter. Stupid joke but 10/10.

ALRIGHT. Now we get a meatier ??? moment that, once again, stinks of the usual inconsistent writing. So last chapter, Goten was kind of portrayed as the more “responsible” of the two, being more careful about things like their powers and identities. But then...we get him lifting a truck in front of everyone very carelessly. which, ok. Gohan did that shit on accident to and he was pretty careful. But I was kind of excited to see Goten being portrayed as the more reasonable and careful of the two. Which alright. I’m maybe not allowing him to make a mistake like this is too critical of me, but then we swapped right back to him making sure he doesn’t let Trunks blow it so idk (the last panels are from later in the chapter btw). I guess I’ll call it less inconsistent for now and more skirting my expectations. But not really in a good way. 

And then we get the worst crime of them all:

Mai, the damsel in distress. They really couldn’t help themselves could they? 🙄 Also, don’t get me started on how when Trunks saves her, she gets all dreamy eyed because she all of a sudden saw Future!Trunks in him. Like ???? gdi.

OTHERWISE, overall, there is a fun feel to this arc so far, and I’m still curious enough to see how they continue to let Trunks and Goten, unfortunately to a much lesser extent, shine. I hope they give Goten more of a role than just this sidekick, almost secondary character sort of feeling. I’m not holding my breath because it almost feels like they’re going to try and capitialize on Future!Trunks’s popularity in surrounding the plot and action around Trunks, but it’s still early. Maybe we’ll get more Goten in time :’3]

Piccolo gets a lot of green (Yoshi) plushies from Gohan/Videl as thanks for babysitting Pan for them, they think Piccolo loves them since he keeps them (out of politeness) and maybe since he secretly likes them too. His phone to keep in touch with them is also Yoshi themed!
