Catch me being super emotional and sappy on this Monday morning. Anyway I'm so so so glad I got into One Piece, I don't regret it for a single second, I'm so mad that it took me this long to finally sit down and watch it bc now it's been what. 3 months? And I'm 400+ episodes in. I've never watched 400 episodes of anything before (except maybe Pokeani) and I thought it would feel like a chore but now I'm SO fucking addicted I can't get enough. The story is so good the pacing is so good the characters are SO good I can't help but get attached and scream and jump for joy and cry my heart out (and worry my roommates downstairs with all my yelling but. You know) because it's just EVERYTHING. The found family, the power one goofy kid has to topple kingdoms, to make friends with anyone and everyone he meets, to completely destroy anybody who hurts his nakama, to rid his crew of all their burdens and chains that bind them to their traumatic pasts. I'm going to fucking explode I love One Piece so much. And maybe I'm 20 years too late to the party but I'm here and this series has its claws in me so deep that I couldn't leave even if I wanted to. And there's people here who have been fans for years and years and YEARS at this point who are OP Veterans and you've all been so sweet and kind and nice and it makes me want to cry. GOD DAMMIT. Banging my head against the wall all these emotions ARE going to make me blow up. I love you Monkey D Luffy I love you One Piece

The way Jimin is just able to pull these types of feelings out of people just by being his natural charming cute self. And the ability he has to turn people into fans so easily is invaluable to have as an artist and so warming to see as a stan of his in general.

Because Brook and Yorki had a heartbreaking goodbye, and Brook spent 50 years mourning, but now he has a second chance. He wasn't expecting anything, but then, lo and behold! A handsome, kind, capable fish man enters stage right, and Brook is smitten. Here is someone who understands the grief of losing a captian and partner, then having to take their place to hold the crew together, but ultimately watching thier crew fall apart or suffer due to factors outside their control.

For Jimbei the last few years have been a whirlwind of chaos. He was looking forward to a new adventure full of chaos of his own making and choices. Now, enter stage left, this fantastic, enigmatic, adorable skeleton (and he's a musician!), who is a wonderful presence on a ship full of younger pirates. Jimbei never really moved on from the loss of the Sun Pirates, and hasn't had time to mourn all the friends he's lost in the past few years. But now he finds companionship and comfort in Brook. Someone who doesn't expect him to move on, let's him reminisce, but keeps him from getting stuck in his mourning. He's never thought of romance seriously before, but now he finds himself wanting.

The two meet in the middle, center stage on a ship of dreams as they forge a new one together. They still keep and work towards their individual dreams but find pieces of each other in them. Brook looks forward to the day he can introduce Laboon to Jimbei, and Jimbei has promised to translate the whale's words for Brook. Jimbei will see freedom for his people and finds motivation in every new song Brook writes and story he tells. Together, they find peace, calm, and rest. They find excitement, companionship, and a harbour in the other after years of storms.

picture this: zoro and sanji are both street dancers. they have different styles, come from different ends of the city, and haven't really crossed paths.

until of course one day a kid in a straw hat says he's trying to build the best dance crew ever and that's all there is to it.

zoro and sanji have a tendency to argue, bicker, tease, all that good stuff. but one day it gets a little too heated, something's under their skin, so luffy plops down his boombox (a relic covered in stickers) and tells them to dance it out.

they start stiff, still keyed up from fighting until something suddenly clicks. zoro has his bandana around his head, he's popping, breaking, doing some insane holds with one hand. sanji steps in, legs everywhere and spinning like a top on the heels of his hands.

it takes them until the song is over to realize they stopped dance battling and were syncing their moves, dancing together for the first time. they both seem surprised at how natural it felt, how easy.

luffy, delighted with his friends, tells them they're gonna be the best doubles team ever and they should start practicing together! they both shy away at first but it doesn't take long for them to realize their captain is right. maybe they'd found their perfect partner after all. even if he is insufferable.
