so this is a kind of not-so-surprise for my friend @sinclarsupremacy , bc they were the first person i showed this two and was on the phone with me the whole time while i made it. didn't give a single thing away until everything was scanned and done. five dead pens and one reliable sharpie later, i show him this. wanted to get used to drawing the slipsour guyz more but also wanted to articulate something i have troubles saying to important people. this is kind of an ode to all my close friends ive made who i definitely wouldve hung around some graveyards with, and an ode to some bands i didnt know id like as much as i do 🫶

Imagining Ed and Stede in my situation for a bit of entertainment. Ed's so tired and exhausted and having to go to the ER after surgery when you want to be home and resting is awful. But Stede makes him laugh still, and every single time he glances down and remembers his top surgery is over he can't help smiling so big! He's gonna be okay and happier than ever soon!

I'm gonna be honest fellas, idk why people hate Blighttown. My noob, shitty DS player ass was having a great time. Based on others' stories I thought they will tear me a new asshole in there.

To also go off of the point about cop!akihiko being annoying to me I gotta say that Akihiko as a character is very hit or miss with me because of how different adaptations of p3 will subtly alter his character. I felt like in portable with the femc route he comes off best, he’s a bit of a hothead with an obsession with fighting, but he’s overcompensating his strength so he doesn’t feel as weak and helpless as he’s been in many situations. He defines strength in a very literal sense, being physically strong and using that to protect others, but he’s lacking in emotional strength as a result. And in particular in this version I think he’s portrayed as a bit more goofy and sweet in a sense. He cares deeply for you as a friend and leader but he struggles with finding the words to describe how he feels. Hes kinda naive and gullible and has trouble noticing his surroundings. He has no clue what he’s doing but his heart is in the right place. I think he just comes off much more human and he has flaws, many many flaws, and that makes him all the more lovable

But then in other adaptations and spinoffs it’s like. They look at him through some hetero male bullshit filter and seem to view him as a lot more admirable and cool. Like in p3 dancing, theres literally an event where he’s talking with Junpei and Minato and they’re gushing about how perfect Akihiko is and how he doesn’t seem to have ANY flaws at all. And it becomes clear his inability to flirt with women just gets added as a way to make sure you, the Straight Male Player, don’t get insecure being next to such Perfection because at the end of the day, you’re still more charming and sexy than he will ever be because you’re better. It’s a “flaw” that’s only there to shield a sensitive male ego. And then in arena I mean, come on. He’s overly beefy and is a damn cop and travels the world and loves Protein™️ it’s his whole personality and he’s so clearly meant to be seen as hot but like, he’s just some shitty hetero male fantasy. Hes what the writers deem to be a Perfect Man that every guy wishes he could be, but don’t worry he’s still bad with women so you don’t gotta worry about him stealing your property- I mean, girlfriend!

And though I’ve not played reload and don’t really plan to anytime soon, judging from his social episodes they seem to have a similar problem. Akihiko comes off as a lot less approachable, like the year age gap is just too much of a barrier to get to know him properly. And he doesn’t have that dorky sweetness he has in portable, he’s just that perfect hetero male fantasy guy and don’t you fucking worry- he still has his protein powder with him

speaking about RuoYao I love to imagine Meng Yao being spoiled and pampered by WRH, like WRH getting him everything he wants and punishing people who are mean to him… Maybe some kind of hurt/comfort AU where JGY first ends up in Lanling but JGS still treats him like shit and then JGY goes to WRH and is shocked that he treats him much better and they both plan revenge to JGS😈

This is such a delicious flavor I have not nearly seen enough of! Imagine little MY getting accepted into his father's sect the first time he went to him for whatever reason, and of course MY's life there is just as miserable.

Now, he could either choose to escape and go to the only sect more powerful than the Jin in search of protection in case his father comes looking for him... OR when the first threats of war start to show up, JGS sends him as an offering to gain some favor before shit hits the fan. I've already mentioned something hella similar here

But of course I'm always delighted to talk more about it, and I'm loving how despite their reputation, the Wen are better to MY, especially WRH since the man doesn't have anything personal against him (unlike JGS), and he can absolutely appreciate someone as cunning and diligent. The first time MY gets a pat in the head and is told that he did a good job his mind was blown :')))

I think the escape scenario would work best here tho bc, since there hasn't been a war yet, there is no glory as a hero nor sworn brothers adding at least some influence to him, so there is nothing stopping JGS & co to go as far as they want with the boy, so the mistreatment could even be close to deadly.

Since MY is a surivor, he goes for help and finds it --finds more than that, in fact, and since he he holds no loyalty towards the Jin anymore, he becomes a loyal and real asset to the Wen. As his closeness with WRH deepens and the man discovers the real extend of the damage MY suffered with his father, and well... he was planning on unleashing a war anyways, why not start with Lanling 😌

(Especially since, with no father, WRH can claim full ownership of the boy :'D)
