watching the Percy Jackson show is funny for me bc I haven’t read the books BUT my younger sister read them and then all the other Rick riordan books and infodumped to me about them so I kind of know some things to expect. And I don’t trust anyone completely in this show. Trying not to have expectations. And seeing some other people who haven’t read the books but clearly don’t have the info I have has been very entertaining.

I've seen some discussion of the Eddie/Amir parallels and, yes, I'm right there with y'all and can't wait to see that explored further in the coming episodes. But what I haven't seen are the Eddie/creepy guy parallels (sorry I truly do not remember that man's name)

At the park, creepy dude says "time to find you a new mommy" which is EXACTLY what Eddie has been doing *for Christopher* (in his mind, even though Chris has never once asked him to) for years. Eddie just happens to be (slightly) less insane about it. But it's never going to work, bro. Chasing ghosts only leads to being haunted.

There's also the stalking aspect of this episode. Eddie is 100% stalking Kim when he goes to the shop to meet her for the first time. And, of course, El Creepo stalks multiple women. And they're both doing it in an attempt to replicate a past relationship. A past FAILED relationship that they each seem to view as far more positive and loving and simple and successful than it ever actually was.

Idk I just thought paralleling a morally compromised Eddie with the (actually bad) bad guy of the ep was a very interesting choice.
