She needed to pull the plug on this, Mara realized. The more she held off the more it would hurt, not just her, but Luke, too. It was just selfish to let it continue when the end was clear. Better to part ways amicably, leaving no ill will between them. That’s what she should do. It was never going to be pleasant. -- Mara breaks up with Luke. She sucks at it.
