Dear Amercians, I'm shocked about the results of the election. The American people have decided to sign up for four years of hate, terror, suppression, discrimination and dictatorship under an oportunist, selfish, evil, criminal mad man. Welcome to Trumpistan.

This is the end of the "land of the free", the end of democracy in the US. You are ruining your own country. The rest of the world pities you.
My thoughts are with those people who voted against this man.

““His promise to be a ‘dictator on day one’ was not idle talk. Trump’s first day in office saw the declaration of an immigration and energy emergency, neither of which actually exist,” said Norm Eisen a former lawyer in President Barack Obama’s White House who worked with the House during Trump’s first impeachment in 2020.
“This is precisely how autocracies begin ― by seizing extraordinary powers under the guise of national crises. Once obtained those powers are seldom relinquished,” Eisen said.”

The Great Regression
Like many Americans, I marvel at the speed with which we went from the historic election of Barack Obama to the brink of fascism. Clearly these events are not unrelated; racial resentment exploded in reaction to Obama's presidency. But this moment of reactionary politics goes well beyond that historical first and now seems to permeate every aspect of life, anywhere some degree of social progress has been achieved.

I can’t even begin to fucking explain how heartbroken and in complete and total shock I am right now. I’m so sorry, keep fighting. Don’t ever stop. Prepare for and don’t stand down to these next years. Trump will enact project 2025, trans ppl will be persecuted, mass deportations and a potential genocide of immigrants will be carried out, women will loose all rights to bodily autonomy, gay rights will be repealed, the system of education will be abolished, Gaza will be leveled, and all the progress we’ve made the past 4 years will be destroyed entirely. And trump will be installed as a permanent dictator. But do. Not. Give. Up. We beat hitler, we beat Mussolini, and we WILL BEAT DONALD TRUMP, no matter HOW LONG IT TAKES.

Not a popular sentiment here, but uh. Yeah. I got my passport last year. I suggest you do the same.

I am very doubtful whether history shows us one example of a man who, having stepped outside traditional morality and attained power, has used that power benevolently. C.S. Lewis

FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT US President 1933-1945
The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.
