One thing Atsumu loves about coming home to you late at night is when you never fail to recognize his touch even when you're asleep.

You tried to wait the first time he said he was gonna be home late─sprawled comfortably in the couch, watching your favorite shows to kill some time, but then your eyes started to feel heavy, and the next thing you know you'd be waking up the next morning.

Atsumu absolutely adored the pout on your face when he told you that he'd rather have you asleep than to have you awake on an ungodly hour. You tried to reason with him, you really did, but you were well aware that you really cannot stay awake for that long and that your body does not function well when running on low sleep.

So, like the good girlfriend that you are, you obeyed.

It was weird having to go home to an empty living room, but Atsumu made it clear that he wanted you to have your rest and he didn't want to take that back.

With light feet, he'd quietly discard his bags, hop in the bathroom for a quick shower, and then he'd take his time to admire you.

Once he gets his fill, he'd gently slip underneath the sheets with you, and Atsumu thought that maybe he woke you up the way you automatically got into his arms when he slips an arm under your head─but you weren't conscious, just something you've grown used to, a muscle memory.
