Ope consumed my body weight in popcorn at the movie theatre and now feel incredibly ill

#3 drinks and a popcorn came out to $30 which is a sign that nature is healing #I think at least our local theatre has realized that people are willing to buy snacks there instead of smuggling #if they’re not charging an arm and a leg #that’s still a lot but in the realm of movie theatre pricing that’s shockingly low #like i remember at one point in high school a large soda at the concession stand was literally $10.50 with no refill #so they’ve verifiably lowered prices which I did not have on my late stage capitalism bingo card #but I saw beetlejuice beetlejuice with my sister and my parents and it was a really fun time #the tickets weren’t too expensive either #$14.50 #I think they’ve lowered that price too I remember them being $19 in high school #and this was a Friday night so I’m sure matinee prices are even lower #I might be convinced to join their movie club thing where you get a ticket and discounts on concessions every month #it’s literally $11 a month and the tickets roll over if you don’t use it that month #they might get me

someone was clearly moving and just throwing out tons of stuff near the stairwell bins and there was this really nice, 100% cotton woven rug in there! so i nabbed it and just brought it down to the laundromat to do a disinfectant cycle just in case of any critters and it washed up so nice actually??

i think i might actually put it in my living room area -- it actually goes with the rest of the stuff i have in there really well tbh

Man I don't know how to feel

For the last couple years, I wondered how my mom paid for an entire apartment with just the wage of a manager at a restaurant. But now that I'm doing my research yeah, apparently you COULD just get a whole ass apartment by yourself for like $12/hour or whatever it was

#i'm getting 14.50 and studios are way beyond my reach. like not even talking about utilities or trash or whatever. just the rent #very jealous #i am very grateful for my new roommate situation but i really want to live alone #next to a train station if possible #(those are apparently cheaper anyway. or were.)
