What exactly IS empty spaces? Like the power dynamics, what dolls do, witches and everything?

Empty Spaces is a story about a hole in your heart that can't be filled. Empty Spaces is a story about what it means not to be a person. Empty Spaces is a metaphor for trauma and abuse. Empty Spaces is a writing community of people and nonpeople making unconnected stories about archetypes. Empty Spaces is what you get when there's nothing on the inside. Empty Spaces is what you're looking for but isn't there.

A doll is an object, not a person; a Witch is a maker and keeper of them. A doll is a vessel for your will; a Witch is the will that fills it. A doll is a thing you can make your own; a Witch is what desires to make. A doll is a prayer to leave behind the chains of personhood; a Witch is the answer to it. A doll is Not; a Witch Is. A doll is a weapon or tool or decoration; a Witch is the wielder and owner of it.

There is no worldbuilding or setting; Empty Spaces don't exist to begin with.

You don't "play" a Bethesda game. You either install 400+ mods and then play it for ten hours and get bored, or you install 400+ mods and sink like 600 hours into it. Heeeeey so about that new anniversary art...

...they each have an equivalent to their prison uniform collars on.

Mikoto's has a little pendant, which could just be fashion but also looks a big like a dog's tag.

It's a bit hard to see on Shidou because it's over his clothes and both his shirt and the collar is black but it is there (zoomed image for clarity).

Drop... Tear Drop? Vampire? Song reference?

Mahiru's is composed of two chokers, perhaps a reference to how she only feels complete alongside someone else.

Kotoko's has a tag on it that looks very similar to the Milgram identity tags. She truly has intertwined herself with that system, believing herself to be an extension of its "justice".

Kazui's, at first glance, appears to be similar to Mahiru and composed of two individual segments, but upon closer inspection appears to be a single loop that's wrapped around his neck twice.

Fuuta... is wearing a belt.

Amane, strangely enough, doesn't appear to have a choker in any of her sprites. The equivalent band runs along the oversized collar of her shirt, so it doesn't sit directly on her neck with the same ominous energy that everyone else has.

Despite this, she is matching everyone else in the anni art, with a ribbon tied into a neat bow.

Muu's is fancy, giving impressions of aristocracy and wealth.

Haruka's has a pendant on it, reminiscent of the necklace he stole from his mother.

Es has never had a choker like this; their uniform shirt has gotten looser with each trial, and the necklace of keys (while they wore it) never threatened to strangle them.

So it does strike me that their shirt in the anniversary art is so high and so tight. Almost as if it could be hiding a choker underneath.

I love those scenes with creepy Starscream. Yeah, they screwed up all the character, but at list we have a brutal scene with cold-blooded murder of the poor children.
