Hello! Sorry if this has been asked before but I was wondering if you have any recommendations for plush dog brands? I'm interested in getting a realistic looking plushie and was wondering if there were recommended brands other than douglas and aurora! Thank you!!

Hi!!! I will try my best to answer!! Here are some plush brands with realistic dogs in no particular order :)

Faithful Friends has some realistic dog plushies that are super cute! They have various dog breeds but they all seem to be in a sitting position. I've seen these plushies for sale on Australian and British websites, and a few on eBay occasionally. I currently don't have any dogs from them, so I can't say how well the quality is.

Prime Shiba is a small business focusing on canine themed items, and they have realistic dog plushies! The quality of these plushies is amazing. Super soft and well made! I have 11 so far (I think) and I would definitely recommend them! The only downside is that the customer service SUCKS, so it may be easier (and cheaper) to buy secondhand.

Animal Alley is an older brand (vintage?) but they have some realistic dog plushies! I have 1 rn, and I used to have a few more.

Ty Classic or Ty Beanie Buddies both have some dog plushies that are somewhat realistic! I have a few and they're not super detailed, but they're realistic with the fur colors.

I know you already mentioned Douglas, but they're definitely one of the best when it comes to realistic dog plushies! I recommend them the most tbh. A wide variety of plushies! I have a lot of dogs from them. :)

Unfortunately I can't think of any more brands with realistic dog plushies 😔

Hey! Just wondering if you've ever found a dog plush that is or looks like a Dutch shepherd? I've been looking for one and sadly I haven't had much luck

Douglas Cuddle Toys has a black german shepherd that you could pretend is a Dutch shepherd! Here he is ⬇️

Prime Shiba has a kai ken that could maybe work as a Dutch shepherd if you modify the tail?? I think their shop is down rn tho ⬇️

how do you choose names for your plushies?

Hmm.. I usually just pick the first name that pops in my head when I see the plush!

Sometimes I look for names that have a meaning though :)

Like Argus can mean bright or shining, but it's also the name of a monster with a bunch of eyes from Greek mythology. I named my wolf plush that because his eyes are shiny and bright!

I’m changing the name of my pup since her name isn’t connecting but I need help deciding on one! My ideas are Zephyr, Cassie, Kara, or Scout! She’s a Bernese mountain dog

Oh I like all the names!! I think Kara is my favorite for a Bernese mountain dog tho :3

I got Rescue several months ago and never bonded even though she’s one of my favorite dog breeds! I’m going to work on bonding with her and carrying her around with Storm! They’re both going with me to my dad’s doctor appointment tomorrow, I have to go to get his knee scooter out

They are both so cute! I hope you can bond with Rescue :)
