Ryo's relationship with Tsumugi is like Schrodinger's cat.

It could be a fluffy, light-hearted slice of life, about a young man trying to express his affections.

OR it could be a tragic tale of loss, regret, and helplessness stretched out over two killing games.

But the box is closed. Right now, it's both of those things at once. Opening the box will cause the superposition to collapse, and it will turn into one or the other.

Ya know, I keep most of my fangan stuff a secret because I don't wanna spoil *anything*, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to share my thought process a bit.

At the moment, I'm trying to decide on the setting for this killing game.

My first thought was an abandoned mall; something like those "indoor cities" that stretch for miles underground. But I'm not quite sure how to keep a killing game in a closed-off public space secret.

Second: An old-timey university campus. A bit closer to V3's setting, where there's separate buildings and some outdoor space, but the biggest hang-up here is

And lastly: a prison. This one gives a good starting hook, but that's pretty much it.

Welp, I'm back to square one for writing my fangan. I've got characters and a death order nailed down but the hardest part is always the big scheme of the mastermind.

Probably doesn't help that I put it on the backburner every other month.

I find it very funny how whenever someone tries to raise Shuichi's self-esteem he just kinda doubles down and goes "oh... ah... I guess. I'm not that great... 👉👈"

But whenever he hears Kirumi say she'll put the needs of others before her own he does a complete 180 and is just like "What's that? Self-deprication? Oh, no, no, we're not having any of that."

As if Kaito and Kaede aren't constantly telling Shuichi to have even a crumb of that same confidence.

Some minor tidbits about Ryo I've thought up:

If he had sprites, he'd share some poses/expressions with Teruteru. Not all of them, but a few.

If he were a protagonist, all his trial minigames would be cooking themed. Sautee some shrimp to find out what the murder weapon was.

Also instead of giving presents from a gachapon, he'd cook meals for classmates during FTEs.

He does have minor burns and scars on his hands from years of kitchen work.

His execution would TOTALLY be called Feast or Famine.

He and Kirumi might have worked together in the same household for a time. Undecided for now.
