I made a tutorial on how I did my pauldrons for smaug. In case you don’t know what drybrushing is. It’s my favourite technique for painting. Obviously.

Here’s my cosplay, it was made in one night, but I’d say it’s pretty good! Sorry if you can see my real hair poking out of the wig, I’m getting a wig cap to wear under it today.

Princess Jupiter!!! This one is not my own original design, it’s based on a gorgeous drawing by DessiDessu, please check out her sailor princess designs! I want to make them all so badly for people!! As with most of the others I’m working on right now, it’s for the Silver Millennium Masquerade Ball in spring of 2017! The dress is fully lined in a pale green bridal satin. The bodice is boned, laces up the back like a corset with modesty panel sewn in. Gold belt accent is permanently sewn on, it’s a rose gold color. The petals are permanently attached, I added some very small ones to the bodice for when worn without the gold piece attached. It also has rose colored crystals attached at the bottom of the skirt and fade up with the petals. The gold piece attaches with small ribbons that tie it on. the cowl is hand sewn into the front and is moved over the head. The gold frame piece is made from black Worbla from @ardawigs, roses attached, and the cuffs that fit up the arm are not attached to the bodice piece so that the arms can be raised and moved easily. The mask is plastic with matching rose crystals that I used on the skirt, with small roses at the top. The forehead circlet is a simple gold ribbon attached to elastic for the head, with a gold and vibrant green gem for the forehead. The circlet for the head is a set of different gold leaves glued to a headband, which is put on the back of the head instead of the top. I hope to make so many more of these, I just loved the color combos on Jupiter so much. I never knew pink and green could be so pretty together!! First photo of my Sailor Star Healer cosplay that I wore to Fanime this year! Super excited to see a full shot of this. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t feel super uncomfortable in this costume. Just getting this costume done was a huge challenge–not because the costume itself was difficult (though the bra was a challnege), but for personal reasons. Getting this costume done was like overcoming something, and I’m super proud of how it turned out. My group wasn’t all able to get their costumes done, so we’ll be fixing these up for next Fanime to wear all together.
