Favorite Weapon - Bai Fengxi’s white sash.

This is one of my favorite wuxia weapons. In return of the condor heroes, Xiao LongNv (little dragon girl) has one with a bell on the end. Also, this is the same weapon as Xie Lian’s Ruo’ye. It’s so fun!

gu fei breaks your heart in multiple different ways throughout sa ye but i think the most heart crushing thing about gu fei is how he and the people around him know deep inside that he has so much potential but not once does gu fei allow himself to raise his hopes up because of the circumstances his sister and mother present to him, which means he can never leave this shitty old rundown city he was born and raised in. but gu fei sees jiang cheng, “his pride”, as he likes to call him, and a mirror image of himself in him and knows how much potential jiang cheng has, and he will not allow jiang cheng to settle and tie himself down to this shitty old rundown city at any cost, no matter if they’re both lovers.

like. gu fei. sweetheart. you deserve that too 😔.

With the year ending, let's look back at what we did! What are your favorite creations you did or the ones you think deserve more love? 

I was tagged by @highwarlockkareena! Thank you for the tag Kareena! You are great at overlays, and I always love looking at your sets.

I think I started making gifs back in March of this year, and have definitely learned a lot. I’ve been on a semi-hiatus for the past couple months, as I’m wanting to switch things up, and I’m trying to think about the content I want to make. Anyway, here’s a few sets that I really enjoyed making:

Sugawara Koushi from Haikyuu!! - although the set itself is relatively simple, I am actually really proud of how the coloring turned out. I always struggle with making animation look nice, and I’m always trying to practice more.

MDZS Lan forehead ribbon - this is another simple one, but I liked comparing and contrasting the development of wangxian through the Lan forehead ribbon. The donghua gives me a difficult time coloring-wise, but eh, i don’t think it looks too bad? Hahaha 

Word of Honor x TGCF - This set was made for a challenge to incorporate the color red into my creation, and I knew I wanted to do something with Gu Xiang and Cao Weining’s wedding. I thought of the TGCF quote and thought it worked perfectly with Gu Xiang and Wen Kexing. I mainly like this set because of how angsty it is, I apologize. 

Word of Honor foreshadowing - I made this for the creator’s event to make a set inspired by another creator’s set. This was a fun challenge hunting for scenes, and I was surprised how many I found.

I hope to make more content in 2022 and try more different giffing techniques!
