The end of the row

I knew, i know, yet still i go,

To What sleeps at the end of the row

What wets dry ground,

makes no sound,

White and still as snow

Still i creep,

Reluctant and knowing

Down the old farm path

Crops tall and growing

To the resting place

Spoiled and bleak

A final bed, a soul to keep

My feet are lead

My lungs are ink

Raise my heavy head

As my chest starts to sink

My stagger stops,

My stomach drops,

My ribs ache,

The wind breaks-

And suddenly,

I can go no further down the row,

To face whats down there, dark and low

Because i always knew, and know

Whats waiting at the end of the row.

I've got like, crippling anxiety in the mornings before work and it makes my gag reflux really sensitive so anything like coughing or brushing my teeth triggers it.
