Okay, so I said if that one post about Ballister as Odysseus got 200 notes I'd draw him as Oddy and it did so here's one of the sketches so far:

I'm workshoppinv a lot of them since my ver. of the Nimona Epic the Musical AU is a whole thing and I got things to figure out about it.

On a grocery run, Blackheart finds that one of the awful skin rags on the magazine rack has a photoshoot with Sir Goldenloin as its cover story. He absconds with the magazine and curls up in his lair, searching through its pages for answers— why Ambrosius would agree to a pin-up shoot, what he’s been up to over the past few years when they’re not crossing swords, and if there’s anything left behind those eyes of the man he remembers loving.

Rose was unexpected, but they decided to have her. But having her was rough on Ambrosius' body and rough on both of their sleep schedules.

(I didn't know I drew them the same until I was almost done with the sketch)

Ballister was unsure of teaching Rose science at first, but after discussing it with Ambrosius and realized that Rose was too stubborn to not do it on her own, they decided that it was better if she at least learned it in a safe environment.

Ambrosius used to read fantasy books to Rose when she was little, but as she got older, she preferred reading books on space and astrology, which she preferred reading to him and going on long rants about Astronomy and the Jyotiṣa. Ambrosius will sometimes purposefully say a word wrong or mix up a fact, which always had Rose ready to correct him.

(He sometimes does that Dad thing where he'll get a word wrong just to annoy her, like 'libary' (library) (my dad used to do it a lot))

Rose Blackheart:

Hair: Jet black

Eyes: Sky blue

Skin tone: pale-peach

She has long hair and a strong nose.

She wears brown goggles on her head where one lens is shaded green.

She wairs a while lab coat with a brown waist belt that works as an apron holder for her brown leather apron that can easily be attached and taken off of the belt. In the front of her apron she has a pouch where she keeps a lot of her 'tools', mainly her green laser gun (her own invention), and her blue cube gun (aslo her own invention) (think of Megamind's dehydration gun).

She occasionally uses her guns, especially the blue one and her and Ballister have come to call it: Getting Cubed.

At the bottom she wears a blue skirt Ambrosius got her, and white pants underneath that disappear into her black combat boots.

She's just a bit shorter then Ballister in height, though her black combat boots give her some help in that.

More sketches and drawings of the Goldenheart kid: Rose🌹M. Goldenheart!

Rose was practically born with a scowl and a pout on her little face-

And she mostly can't help it-

Mostly.

Rose M. Goldenheart has Ambrosius' hair, nose, and gets her height from him, but basically has Ballister's everything else, including his brains and big eyes.

She's a bit of a trouble maker, and has a strong sense of justice.

The kingdom doesn't have many knights anymore, but as traditions do die hard, they have guards now who are trained under some old knights from the day who are supervised by Ballister, who is supported by Ambrosius.

Rose is inspired by this and wants to become a guard when she's older, just like how her parents were knights.

Both Ambrosius and Ballister are reluctant, Ambrosius is afraid of denying her something she might want to try or aspire to be as his own parents and society made him a knight. So, he allows it under some conditions (and a lot of talking with Ballister).

She fights with a staff instead of a sword, it was the compromise her and Ambrosius came to when she first started training to become a guard.

The staff itself looks like it's made from wood, but it's actually high tech titanium with taser shocks at the tips.

She's more elegant in fighting when she uses her weapon, but she will throw hands if the time calls for it or when she gets mad, then she becomes brutal and mean.
