Day 2 spoilers!! and blood

Synopsis: Sol dealt with some bullies who started hitting up on you and harassing you since the last few days, and it didn't end well until you came to the rescue when the bullies took a picture of him all beaten up and panting for air as he sat on the ground.

He lifted his face, barely recognized because of the bruises on it, while he rose up from his spot in the dirty bathroom stall. Tears welled up in your eyes as you ran towards his bloody and beaten up figure, his feet stumbling back as you wrapped your arms around him. Taken aback by your concerned gesture, he took it as an affectionate sign, hugging you back with more strength. His heart thumped hard against his ribs, unable to control the overwhelming flock of butterflies in his stomach.

You pulled away from the tight embrace and cupped his cheeks, staring into those beautiful reddish-orange eyes of his, like evening sunsets on the horizon. 

“Are you alright, Sol?!” You asked, your voice filled with concern and a fear of hurting him just by touching his face. A stream of tears rolled down your cheek when you felt a slight flinch from him, a reaction you wouldn’t expect, like taking a peek of his vulnerable side for even a second. Is it this painful? Shit, am I too late?

Your tears began to fall one by one, and with the way your lips were trembling, he gently wiped your tears away with his thumb, hating the fact you’re crying because he’s hurt–almost like you care about him. You weep just by looking at the ugly sight of the bruises on his face; and it makes you want to protect him and tend to his wounds. 

You panicked when you received a notification earlier from one of the bullies in the university, the same one who catcalled you and tried to ask for your number. You felt uncomfortable, especially when they hurt someone that is now your sweetest friend next to Crowe. You wished you could beat those fuckers up. After everything Sol has done for you, you want to return the favor. Even so, it pains you to see him in this state.

But it pains him more to see you cry.

You’re too kind, too naive even. You’re already crying because of him, and in a way it increases his sick obsession towards you. Seeing your concern for his well being was something he adorned about you oh so much.

Yet, it still wounds his heart.

“I-I’m fine, pumpkin, they needed to be taught a lesson,” Sol managed to speak out. Despite his weak state, he made the effort to reassure you, to let you know he’ll be fine, like a promise he made to himself. A promise to never make you cry like that again. It hurts to look at your teary eyes, he never wanted this to happen, never. You mean so so much to him, he never wishes to see you sad or angry, nor would he want to experience his heart ache painfully just by looking at how many tears stain your cheeks, leaving remnants of your unhappy state. All he asks for is to see you smile, to see you happy with him, to receive all of your attention and love. 

When will you realize you were made to be with him?

“I’ll take you home, it’s too dangerous here,” You said as you let go of his cheeks and took his bloody fist, caressing his red knuckles; A frown plastered on your face while looking at his hand. How did he get in this much trouble? You could’ve saved him in time… But it is what it is, and he needs to be taken care of.

Sol raised his eyebrows, “Y-You sure? I can walk by myself, I’ll deal with the injuries later” 

“No, you clearly need help.” You insisted, to which Sol agreed and smiled, a blush creeping up his face.

“Thank you,” he replied, his fingers beginning to intertwine with yours, and you can’t help but feel flustered. You’ve only known him for a while, and somehow, he had already made you feel special and cared for ever since he saved you from that frightening incident in the arcade. His hand feels warm in contact with yours, taking you back to the memory of kissing each of his bandaged knuckles when he stayed at your home. It made you feel all hot and bothered as it played endlessly in your mind like a record player on repeat.

But you don’t know how much that affected him greatly.

“Pumpkin, you’re blushing-”

You cut him off, “W-What?! That’s nonsense!” 

A smirk appeared on his face, amused by your sudden refutation. You bit your inner lip, until you realized how awkward it is to be standing here, avoiding his teasing stare focused on only you.

You cleared your throat and faced him, “a-anyway, let’s stay somewhere safe from this place. My house is just a few blocks away.” You hold his hand tightly as you both walk out of the public restroom, as you try to calm your heart from beating so hard in your chest almost like it could burst out soon.

A low chuckle escaped his lips. “You truly are my soulmate…” He muttered under his breath, gazing down at the angel beside him; seemingly still concerned and troubled by his unfortunate fight with some motherfuckers behind an abandoned building. But either way, he’s glad you’re here to take him home safely. 

“Hm? Did you say something?”

“Oh nothing…” He hid the truth with a small smile.

He'll go through anything, painful or not, just to save your life from the dangers of this twisted world. Even if it meant risking his own.

Everyone fears the devil.

or known as “The Butcher”

Either way, he is tremendously twisted, warped into the depraved murderer he is.

An ill sensation filled your gut, awfully in disgust of the nauseating sight of your screen. You could’ve expected it from him, but you couldn’t.

Instead, you’re sitting in your office chair, staring at the video in front of you. A video sent from the group chat about an innocent being, crying for mercy, like their time in this world wasn’t enough–their first time in this new world they have yet to explore, it’s not worth a brutal death. Not from the devil’s bloody crowbar.

Pausing the video, a flood of praises and applause filled the server, capturing genuine reactions from your serial killer friends. It’s almost sickening, praising someone so evil, for taking a person’s life. Someone whose moral compass is broken.

The devil is not what you expect, and so are the other serial killers in the group. They live for the thrill of killing, or for the sake of vengeance. You can’t change them, so why stay?

Why stay in that twisted group chat? You keep asking yourself that, but you decided to witness more of their peculiar activities. It was your choice, you can’t take it back. Afterall, you need inspiration for your story.
