MHA SPIRAL AU: Class B Quirks
Tumblr media
In this post, I will explain the quirks of each Class B student for this AU. The quirks follow the guidelines I set, and I'll explain how their quirks work (Of course, they remain very close to canon but with some added bits) and I will also explain who the student inherited their quirk from. I will also explain how some quirks combine, not to make a whole new quirk, but to basically "enhance" an already existing power.
note: some changes or additions were made in order for the designs of the characters to make more sense (an example of this is Kosei Tsuburaba).
note 2: yes, I took most of the quirk explanations from the wiki
Again, I turned what I changed/added blue
Yosetsu Awase:
Weld:
Weld allows the user to merge things, both organic and inorganic, at a subatomic level
One major drawback is if his connection with the objects he’s fusing is broken before the process is complete, it can cause damage to his hands or whichever part of him is being used to activate his quirk
Yosetsu inherited the quirk "Weld" from his father
Sen Kaibara:
Gyrate:
Gyrate allows the user to rotate any part of their body at high speeds
If the user keeps using their quirk for too long, it can cause pain in their joins. it can also result in their skin burning or even tearing (which can result in scarring depending on how severe the tears are)
Sen inherited the quirk "Gyrate" from his mother
Togaru Kamakiri:
Razor Sharp Mantis:
Razor Sharp allows the user to produce large blades from their body
Togaru's quirk seems to have combined with the quirk "Mantis", which gives the user the traits of a praying mantis (bug-like eyes, antennae, and the ability to molt), hence the name of Togaru's qurik "Razor Sharp Mantis"
Togaru inherited the quirk "Razor Sharp" from his mother, and inherited the quirk "Praying Mantis" from his father, but these quirks combined into one to make "Razor Sharp Mantis"
Shihai Kuroiro:
Dark:
“Dark” allows the user to merge their body into anything that is dark-colored, whether naturally dark or dark via external circumstances, such as shadows. They can also move themself through the darkness freely
This ability does not take mass into account, so merging with small or thin dark objects, such as a mushroom or a cape, is entirely possible
Objects that are naturally mobile can be forced to move if the user assimilates with them
Shihai inherited the quirk "Dark" from his mother
Note: The name I used the name of his quirk in the anime
Itsuka Kendo:
Big Fist:
“Big Fist” allows the user to enlarge one or both of their hands to enormous sizes
The enlargement happens almost instantly, growing to be about three times larger than Itsuka. It also increases psychical strength, along Itsuka to carry heavy objects and crush things easily
Sometimes, overuse of the quirk or continuously enlarging her hands can cause aches
Itsuka inherited the quirk “Big Fist” from her father
Yui Kodai:
Size:
This Quirk grants the user the ability to alter the size of objects that they come into contact with
Yui can only activate this power by pressing five of her fingertips together, and she must do the same in order to deactivate it
This quirk doesn’t work on living things like animals
Yui inherited the quirk “Size” from her grandfather
Kinoko Komori:
Mushroom:
Mushroom allows the user to generate and spread fungus spores from their body
Once these spores make contact with a solid surface, they will quickly grow into full-grown mushrooms. The spores can grow from any surface, be it the area, the user's own body, and even other people's bodies. The spores spread easier in an area with high humidity
Kinoko inherited the “Mushroom” from her mother
Ibara Shiozaki:
Vines:
Vines grants the user controllable, thorny vines in place of regular hair. The vines can be manipulated for various purposes, such as binding foes, snatching objects and creating defensive barriers. They can also be cut off from the head at will, including being tough enough to dig through concrete
During specific season, the vines may be affected. It’s harder to grow them during winter. Also, if the user were to be flustered or happy, little roses quickly bloom
Ibara inherited the quirk “Vines” from her father
Jurota Shishida:
Beast:
Beast allows the user to transform into a large, monstrous beast
Jurota grows in size, with his furry, animalistic body becoming even more like that of a wild creature's, sporting huge fangs and being covered entirely in thick fur. He grows significantly stronger and faster as a result
While in Beast form, Jurota's senses are greatly enhanced. In particular, his sense of smell gains impressive range and precision, becoming useful for scouting enemies and their movements from afar
The quirk causes the user to always be covered in fur, have fluffy ears on the side of their head, and their bottom teeth stick out from their mouth. The user also has claws, but they only appear when the user is transformed
Jurota inherited the quirk “Beast” from his father
Nirengeki Shoda:
Twin Impact:
Twin Impact allows the user to, at the site of any initial impact, create a second impact remotely and at their discretion. The second impact will be many times stronger than the initial one. It can be used on objects or on people
The quirk is fairly hard to control, and will often activate at random times, which is why the user must keep a fairly calm mind
Nirengeki inherited the quirk “Twin-Impact” from his mother
Pony Tsunotori:
Horn Canon:
Horn Cannon allows the user to detach and launch their horns as projectiles.
Pony can fire off several horns in succession, with a new set regenerating on her head almost instantly. She possesses the ability to remotely control up to four of them as well, allowing her to change their mid-air trajectory to get around obstacles
the quirk resulted in traits such as ears and hooves and a tail. The quirk is based around “bulls”, and is more commonly found in males (though there’s a chance for a woman to inherit it)
Pony inherited the quirk “Horn Cannon” from her father. Her older brother also possesses the same quirk
Kosei Tsuburaba:
Soild Air:
“Solid Air” allows the user to solidify air to form constructs such as walls and platforms through their breath. Air walls do not fall to the ground once solidified and will stay afloat in midair even when another person hangs onto them. They're soundproof as well, making them effective against Quirks that rely on their user's voice
So solid air causes the user’s lungs to be naturally more sensitive than most, as anything possibly damaging will damage their lungs quicker than most
The user is also able to will the solidified air away, they do this by simply thinking about it vanishing, this ability appears as a sign to the quirk awakening (the user having a “psychic” connection to the solidified air)
Kosei inherited the quirk “Solid Air” from his mother
Mountain Goat:
Grants the user the physical traits of a mountain goat: a tail, horns, goat eyes, goat legs, and/or ears (but this depends on genetics, some users don’t have them, ex, Mr. Tsuburaba only has goat ears, not goat legs, Kosei has neither). It can also cause the user to have fluffy white hair, but genetics can also affect this trait
The quirk can also give certain abilities, like really good balance and the ability to jump rather high
Kosei inherited the quirk “Mountain Goat” from his father
Note: I got the idea of Kosei having full on goat traits from a friend. Now, I would’ve just kept him having one quirk, but it didn’t sit right with me. Sure, solid air could’ve just came with the goat traits but that didn’t feel right, so the only way for me to include the goat features (horns and tail) was to make it a separate quirk and he is simply dual-quirked. I mostly did this as an explanation for his eye shape
Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu:
Steel:
Steel allows the user to transform their entire body into steel.
Steel makes Tetsutetsu's body virtually impenetrable; it is tough enough to protect Tetsutetsu from bullets, blades and tons of falling metal, as well as other lethal hazards. Naturally, it increases his physical strength to superhuman levels, too, allowing him to break through most obstacles. Tetsutetsu has said that he will gain longer and stronger use of his Quirk depending on the level of iron that is in his diet. It is unknown if this refers to foods that have iron in them or if he has to eat the actual metal itself
Steel can protect Tetsutetsu from extreme temperatures. Ice and cold have no effect on his skin when Steel is activated, making Tetsutetsu immune to natural freezing. Steel may also grant resistance towards high heat
Tetsutetsu inherited the quirk causes ”Steel” from his mother, which is actually a variant of hers which is also a variant of the quirk Blood Control
Setsuna Tokage:
Lizard Tail-Splitter:
Lizard Tail-Splitter allows the user to split their body into several pieces and control them telekinetically.
Setsuna is able to split off pieces from any part of her body. Those cutoff bits of hers move around by floating, following Setsuna's will. Due to their usually small size and high speed of movement, they're hard targets to hit individually.
Notably, if any of those pieces contain a functioning organ, said organ is capable of operating by itself away from the rest of her body, allowing Setsuna to, for example, speak with just a floating jaw that contains her mouth, or see with just one quarter of her face, as long as it has one of her eyes on it
The quirk did result in the user having small reptilian traits (sharp teeth and slit pupils)
Setsuna inherited the quirk “Lizard Tail-Splitter” from her grandmother
Manga Fukidashi:
Manga:
Comic allows the user to materialize onomatopoeia into the real world in the form of giant Japanese letters by speaking them
The onomatopoeia is manifested with the same effects as the sound they're based on. This grants Manga excellent versatility, as they are capable of conjuring various effects by just spelling the right wording. The manifested onomatopoeia are quite durable
Manga’s quirk is a combination of their parents’ quirks
Juzo Honenuki:
Softening:
Softening allows the user to soften anything they touch, effectively turning solid objects semi-liquid
Softening works on anything solid, such as ice, metal, or the ground, and it possesses great range. The softened objects become similar to mud or quicksand, trapping and sinking anything caught on it. To revert the effects of Softening, Juzo only needs to touch the softened object a second time
While Juzo technically has the same quirk as his father, which gives him the look of no lips, he does not possess the actual abilities of his father’s power—only the appearance (not enough to count him as dual-quirked)
Juzo inherited the quirk “Softening” from his mother
Kojiro Bondo:
Glue:
Cemedine allows the user to spray a glue-like liquid from the holes in their head
Once it hits something, the glue will either harden up and trap whatever it makes contact with or make it sticky and dangerous to touch. Kojiro can adjust the speed at which his glue dries
Kojiro inherited the quirk ”Cemedine” from his grandmother
Neito Monoma:
Copy:
Copy allows the user to utilize a Quirk after coming into contact with its respective user. Neito only requires to touch as little as a few strands of hair from the target in order for his Quirk to take effect. After contact with a target is made, Neito gains full access to their Quirk, at least at a basic level; it's unknown if Neito is also capable of copying further improvements that were made to that other person's Quirk.
Copying multiple Quirks at once is possible as well. Neito can hold up to a certain amount of copied Quirks within his body, depending on how much he trains his Quirk. The effects of the copied Quirks, save for those that physically change the structure of his body, will continue to remain active even if Neito switches out the associated Quirk
As long as Neito has a quirk copied, he is susceptible to that quirk’s malfunction (ex: if he has “Gyrate” copied, there is a chance he could experience a malfunction that that specific quirk and lose control of it)
Neito inherited the quirk “Copy” from his father
Reiko Yanagi:
Poltergeist:
Poltergeist allows the user to telekinetically manipulate objects and people close to them. Reiko displays great control over her Quirk, being able to move large swarms of objects in order to barrage a target
Overuse of this quirk may cause severe headaches, making it harder to focus on using it properly
Reiko inherited the quirk “Poltergeist” from her grandmother
Hiryu Rin:
Scales+:
Scales allow the user to form hard scales throughout their entire body, which they can either use as protective armor or fire off as projectiles. According to Hiryu's costume notes, growing scales requires collagen and calcium
The generated scales resemble those of a reptile. They are quite hard and sharp, hurting anyone who comes in contact with them. For the same reasons, the scales make for dangerous projectiles, with Hiryu being capable of launching them
The quirk gives the user “dragon-like” features; the traits are typically claws, horns, fangs, a serpent-like tongue, and a tail. The horns are already there and their tongue is already serpent-like when the user is born, so in a way the quirk is sort of mutant type since it alters the user’s appearance, the claws and tail grow with age. The fangs do come in later, after the quirk’s official inheritance (the ability to sprout scales), the user’s canines become sharp. The length of the user’s horns and tail depends on genetics and nutrition
Now with Hiryu, his horns still haven’t fully grown, but they’re getting there—unfortunately, their growth can lead to headaches—and he has yet to get his tail. Like his father, Hiryu’s horns will grow but be rather small, and his tail will be long
Hiryu’s quirk is a combination of his parents’, but ultimately it is an evolved version of the “Scales” quirk. It combined with his mother’s quirk, “Projectile” (it allows the user to convert their energy into bullets and fire them from their body). So, he posses every trait of the “Scales” quirk, but he now has the ability to fire off the scales, his father is incapable of this ability. Hiryu’s sister also possesses the same quirk
Note: Hiryu’s quirk is hard to explain, but I tried my best
Some of the information changed but some stayed the same, I’ve been quite happy with class b’s quirks so I didn’t feel the need to change much.
Btw, if you noticed I said Tetsu’s is a variation of his mom’s which is a variation of “Blood Control”… yes, Tetsu and Vlad King are related, Vlad is his uncle (Tetsu is also related to one of my OCs, Fubuki Kan, who shares the same quirk as Vlad but his is slightly different—that’s Tetsu’s cousin. I’ll explain the family tree later, along with the connection between Aizawa and Hitoshi)
(Finally posting this, and I hope I got everything… 💔)

I'm trying to get into class 1b fanfiction, any good fanfics other than your own? I just keep finding things that barely feature class 1b
I don’t necessarily read fanfics myself, but I do know of some
There’s one, quite popular among class b fans (at least from what I’ve seen), “when die rolls differ” by 1MoreFF_Creator, which is I believe basically a “what if” where instead of Class A being attacked at the USJ it’s Class B
Then there’s “heart of a hero” by DrZenkai, which is basically the events of MHA but from class b’s perspective, the stuff they go through themselves, I’ve read this one—I haven’t read the first one I said (this fic is actually what inspired me and give me the idea of MHA but through Class B’s eyes :3)
These are the only two I know about that have class b as the main focus
These are both on AO3

fav non kosen ships for Sen and kosei and why you like them, also why you like kosen
Hrm…
Well, I don’t really have another ship for Sen, KoSen is really the only ship involving him that I like.
For Kosei I have a few, there’s… Kosei x Denki which I came up with cuz I could see them being friends and thought them being more would be cute. Kosei x Hiryu, I just find it cute, I see them having a cute dynamic (it’s also the only ship involving Hiryu I like). Kosei x Yosetsu, I find this ship cute too, they’re silly.
As for why I like KoSen, well I just do. I discovered the ship back in 2021-2022ish, when I really started getting hooked on Class B content, I saw them and thought they’d be cute together, then I found fanart and fics, and then of course I began looking into the characters themselves and found their friendship (at least how it was described) to be cute. KoSen has always just been a comfort ship for me, seeing content of them makes me really happy, and it makes me feel better whenever I’m upset. It’s sort of hard to put it into words, but know the ship means a whole lot to me.
Hope this answers your question. :P

MHA Spiral AU: Quirk Malfunctions
Tumblr media
Now, if you were on MHA TikTok around 2021-2022ish, you might remember a small "trend" of people drawing or coming up with "quirk malfunctions" for the characters.
Well... those exist in my AU!
I've sort of discussed them in one of the daily fun facts on my TikTok, but I didn't go into too much detail except that two characters have experienced one prior to the events of the fic.
So let me get into Quirk Malfunctions!
Basic Description:
"Quirk Malfunctions" are a strange phenomena that happens when a person's quirk "turns against them", resulting in less than ideal situations or people getting harmed.
They're fairly rare, it seems difficult for a malfunction to occur, but they happen enough that people are aware malfunctions are possible (though there are some who believe they don't exist or that the government causes them).
Origins:
No one really knows the true cause of the malfunctions, but the most common cause seems to be a person becoming "blinded by emotions" or a lack of knowledge on a quirk (considering malfunctions are a little more common in children, especially children who just manifested their quirk).
Some scientists theorize that perhaps it's caused by remnants of DNA from before quirks existed, making the body struggle to handle the quirk.
How Dangerous?
There seems to be a scale of how dangerous these malfunctions may be, some may cause horrible harm to oneself or others or simply be annoying.
There have been cases of people getting killed by their own power.
As said, some may be rather annoying.
Example: A possible malfunction for Yosetsu's quirk, Weld, is him losing control of it and getting stuck to things/things getting stuck to him. It doesn't cause him harm, it is simply a major annoyance.
Some are really harmful, even deadly.
Example: Say Kosei uses his quirk, Solid Air, but when he uses it his breath sort of gets caught in his throat. There's a chance the air could solidify in his throat and suffocate him (I'll give more details when I explain quirks, but Kosei basically has a psychic connection to his quirk, though the most he can do at the moment is simply make the solidified air vanish when he wants it to... in this situation, he'd be able to, but panic can cause trouble focusing). A malfunction of his nature could cause injury and possibly death.
The Use of Drugs:
Similar to how Overhaul was making "quirk erasing bullets", there is a type of "drug" that can basically force a malfunction. It does this through causing impaired thinking and forcing the quirk to activate.
Of course, this is illegal, and police are working to stop this drug from spreading about... but it's difficult.
Immunities:
There seems to be some people immune to malfunctions, this is because of the nature of their quirk, making it hard for the quirk to "turn against them". This mostly applies to people who's quirks just give a simple trait, an example is Mashirao, he is in fact immune to malfunctions.
Bonus Notes:
As said before on my TikTok, prior to the events of the story, Denki Kaminari and Sen Kaibara have experienced a quirk malfunction.
Denki experienced one when he lost control of his quirk once, and he ended up electrocuting himself badly. This resulted in lightning scars forming on his body, and Denki being afraid to go over his limit, afraid of his quirk malfunctioning again.
Sen experienced his not long after he got his quirk. He activated his quirk on his hands one day, but found he couldn't turn it off and the spinning only got faster. This caused his wrists to begin hurting and burning, and then his skin to rip, forming gashes all over his hands. This is the cause of the scars that are on his hands (if you've seen the Spiral AU design for Sen, then you've seen the scars).
Fumikage losing control of Dark Shadow in the darkness can be classified as a quirk malfunction.
I think that's all the information I have for now, and if I come up with more stuff, I'll make basically a part 2!

MHA Spiral AU: UA Uniforms
Tumblr media
(This is basically all the same information from my tiktok post!) As a part of the Spiral AU, I chose to redesign the UA uniforms! I didn't change much, the only changes made were some design shifts and colors. I also made different variations, which I will get into!
Some notes to start with:
Accessories are allowed at UA
Students may wear the uniform however they want if it's more comfortable, all that is asked is that they have it on when and no private areas are showing
Students may swap out the gendered features for another if it is more comfortable, examples:
A female student wearing pants instead of a skirt
A male student wearing a skirt instead of pants
Wearing a seasonal uniform year round
Students who don't identify as male or female may also mix the uniforms to fit their comfort
Wearing stockings year round (as in mixing the pars from the seasonal uniforms)
A female student may wear a tie instead of a bow, or a male student may wear a bow instead of a tie
Winter Uniforms!
The winter uniform is a variation worn during the colder months.
The main difference is a blazer is worn, and (for the girl's uniform) there are stockings instead of high socks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summer Uniform!
Instead of a blazer, students now wear a simple vest and the sleeves of the undershirt are rolled up (though they can be rolled down). The girl's uniform also switches to high socks instead of stockings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Skirt Variations!
The standard length is knee length, and it cannot go shorter (this is for appropriateness), however, a student may get the skirt longer if that means it'll be more comfortable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Course Differences!
For each course, they have differences to separate them!
Hero course:
One button on the shoulders
Two stripes on the lapel (one thick, one thin)
Two stripes on the sleeves (one thick, one thin)
Two buttons on the sleeves
Tumblr media
General studies:
Two buttons on shoulders, space between
Two stripes on lapel (one thick, one thin)
One stripe on sleeves (thick)
One button on sleeves
Tumblr media
Support course:
Two buttons on shoulders (side by side)
Three stripes on lapel (one thick, two thin)
Three stripes on sleeves (One thick, two thin)
Two buttons on sleeves
Tumblr media
Business course:
Three buttons on shoulders
Two stripes on lapel (thin)
Two stripes on sleeves (thin)
One button on sleeves
Tumblr media
That's pretty much it for now!
If you noticed, I changed the colors to be a little more pleasing to look at, I was never a fan of the red tie... so I made the colors match a little better!
Also, I did not redesign the PE uniform, I didn't feel the need to since I didn't necessarily see anything wrong with them.

Since you want questions... I have that's been bothering me.
Bnha
You know Twice's quirk is cloning right? Let's just say that twice meets a person A. They spend some time together (it's not very that important)
Now person A leaves the country and is completely somewhere else in the world.
Three days has passed.
Twice makes a clone of the person A, while they are putside of the country.
Obviously, the clone of A is confused, but twice explains that it's a clone and he made them for some reason. Twice talks with clone of A for example a week, as the original A is still somewhere else.
The question is, does the new experience of the clone and informations that Twice gives the clone also go to the original or vice versa?
For example
Twice to the clone: "I like pink"
Does the original person will now know that Twice likes color pink?
Other example:
[Original A at the second day (somewhere) buys a red T-Shirt]
During those one week time will the clone also knew the new informations of the original A?
Will the clone at second day of its existance knew about the new purchase of T-shirt or will Twice need to kill the clone from time to time, in order to get a new "update version with current informations"
Ok honestly, I'm more cururious about the second question..
(I answered this earlier but it didn't save cuz of poor internet)
Anyways- I would think they're two separate consciouses, so the clone wouldn't be aware of the new shirt and if Twice tells the clone information, only the clone learns it
And yeah, I do think if Twice needed to "update" the info on the original, then he'd need to make a new clone so like say (using the shirt as part of this) Clone A doesn't know about the shirt, but then Twice makes a new clone-Clone B-and that clone DOES know about the shirt since it came into existence after the shirt was bought
Idk, I feel like I'm explaining this badly, but that's my answer: the clones are separate from the original so they won't know anything new unless Twice tells them himself
