Hello! :) My name is Ayelet. I'm 31 and I live in Israel. They/them. I hope you'll like me. I love: animals, fantasy and sci-fi, but I mostly blog about antisemitism, LGBTQIAP+ subjects, amatonormativity and friendships. I studied archaeology and history in the Hebrew University. Nowadays, I mostly do volunteer work, when I’m not reading stuff online, watching things or taking long walks. I study Semitic linguistics.

In the Hebrew Wiki, it says Achilles' partner was Patroclus.
הויקיפדיה העברית מכה שנית ומתעלה מעל לחלומות הפרועים ביותר של כל ויקיפדיה אחרת
מי עשה את זה? מי? אני צריכה לנשק להם את הידיים

One day I will let this go but it is insane how Jews nowadays say "my political take is that I don't want my entire family and I to die" and the general response was "god, you're so fucking selfish. this is exactly why your entire family and you deserve to die"

like i'm gonna be real-- this is not good. they can now frame the left as the violent and dangerous people that they've wanted to all this time. they can now actually claim to be the victims that they've been saying they are this whole time. they can use this as a mandate to crack down on everyone who opposes them. with biden already in freefall this is the galvanizing thing that will make those who were unsure about aligning with the democrats the motivation to swing to the republicans in droves. it will give the already united republicans the "moral" authority to condemn not only the elected officials in the democratic party but characterize the entire progressive movement as violent anarchists based on social media reactions. if we were cooked before, we've just entered the flash fryer.

One time this man approached me in a bar talking in Spanish. So I assumed he was Spanish and we started speaking, we had a whole ass conversation and at some point he was like. So what part of Spain are you from? And I said well I’m Italian actually. What part of Spain are you from? And he was like. I’m Greek.

Just because your sentiment is targeted towards jews zionists does not mean that its not repackaged right wing talking points and bigotry.
Putting a cut off date for jews indigenousness at its core is still anti indigenous folk and putting a cut off date for an indigenous group regardless if it's targeted towards jews.
Calling jews colonizers for trying to rebuild their nation on land that was stolen from them is at its core anti land back movements.
Claiming that openly queer jews are "pink washing" is at its core queerphobic as you want queers you don't like to be silent or hidden away.
Claiming that jews are inherently white is at its core erasing and invalidating poc who do not fit your idea of what poc should be/look like.

okay okay I know the point of this is “White people need to put as much effort into learning how to pronounce Black people’s names as they do foreign European names” and 100% I totally agree, absolutely good point
but this tweet becomes hilarious in the context of this clip:
anyways, absolutely put effort into learning how people pronounce their names. just don’t feel bad if it takes you some time to get it right 😅
(also in case you didn’t watch the video it’s “N-SHOO-tee” not “SHOO-tee”)

lmao I’m sorry I have no idea if this is even true but the fact their takeaway is “THIS IS AN EVIL ZIONIST PLOT TO CONFUSE ADVOCATES” is fucking hilarious
like I’m sorry, if you think supporting Hamas, the totalitarian regime that suspended elections & killed any palestinians in the opposition the moment it came to power & has actively put palestinians in harms way to the point that an increasing number of palestinians have been protesting and openly cursing Hamas despite knowing it could easily mean Hamas kills them, is advocacy… you don’t need help being confused
you’re a violently idiotic person & you are a danger to palestinians. I hope your data gets scraped for all of our sakes

Besides, a lot of goyim use the antisemitically approprieted meaning of "zionism", either unkwonigly or knowingly.
You have got to all stop calling Jews zionists just because they are Jews.

listen i get ppl are frustrated and scared but can we please stop using the term “pro-pal” when “anti-jewish/antisemitic activists” is more accurate. bc i feel like the term is focusing more on what these ppl claim to be for rather than the actual impact they’re actually having on jews. like idk it just feels like more internet-ization of a war that’s killing thousands of ppl, which i thought we all agreed was. bad.

i think a lot of you, including my fellow jews, do not know how to talk about the Diaspora accurately. stop calling me, a mizrahi jew, “a jew of middle eastern/north african descent.” i descend from the israelites, i come from the land of judea. i will always be proud of my family’s Diasporic experiences, identities, and cultures, but you make a fundamentally harmful mistake by understanding the categories of jews (ashkenazim, sephardim, etc) as dependent on where we came from. the Diaspora is and will always be important to the jewish experience, but it is not how we define ourselves, and it is not where we come from as a people.

Fellow aros? So like, to be clear i am not saying that there is zero patern or that people can't make shortcuts about their own life experience.... But i feel like it's a mistake to ALWAYS use "aroallo" and "aroace" interchangeably with "aros who have sex" and "aros who don't have sex" respectively. (please i beg you to notice the key word in big bold letters.)
What i mean is that : - some aro people (like me!!) don't always fit neatly in the ace/allosexual spectrum. I don't use the split attraction model. I am just aro. (And we're not automatically "basically aroace" or "basically aroallo" that's for us individually to decide that if we want to be called that never mind what our sex life looks like, thank you) - We're all different, you should not assume someone's sex life based on their sexuality. For exemple some ace people have sex and in fact, some of them do relate to many aro allos on that angle (source : conversations with various aro people, online and irl) I will say it again : i am not saying that like....aro allos should not speak about sex without romance as a common aro allo issue* or that aces people should not talk about not having sex as a common ace issue*... Just don't forget about nuance when it's relevent, i suppose.
(* by "issue" i obviously don't mean that anything is wrong with us but i am talking about the issues we face)
I don't know if it *need* to be said, idk if it's a common issue or if i was just unlucky but it can't hurt to say it since i noticed a few things that bothers me a litte.
(i made a point of being clear and overexplaining myself so for the love of existence please make a effort with the reading comprehension)
