My sis and I had another go at the Halloween costumes -- she was a stunning mermaid and she let me attempt to create scales down her face/neck and I zombied myself out. Felt pretty badass tryin’ to look like I’d just eat random people.

For Halloween this year Michael and I went historic. He was a WWII soldier, wounded but still so handsome. I was his nurse. <3 I think we did okay for our first couple costume together.

Back on the road with my best friends again. Feeling really excited about this tour. Can’t wait to spend my days on the interstate reading, taking pictures of sad gothic Americana stuff, listing to podcasts and music, becoming way to comfortable with gas stations and truck stops, and pumped to spend my evenings playing shows, getting to know new families that host us and revisiting ones we’ve stayed with before, meeting fans and playing new tunes for them, and seeing some old friends. We’ll be playing and touring alongside some bands I really love. Any followers out there, truly, I/we would really love to meet and play you if we’re coming to your hood. Come on out if you can and bring a friend!

ALMF2015!! There was a lot of time at our camp which meant there was a lot of time for face painting, playing cards, playing music, playing football, drinking (and then more drinking), story telling, intimate talks (those memorable heart-to-hearts), napping, camp fire-ing, camp cooking, eating PB & J’s, meeting new friends and interesting festivalers, and making the biggest toast among our large group of friends to express how much we all love one another. It was such a wonderful weekend. <3

Apache Lake Music Festival (ALMF) 2015 was a good one. I attended this festival two years ago and drunkenly hung out with a handsome stranger named Michael who since then I’ve gotten to know and have luckily had (and still have!) the opportunity to hang out with daily/weekly/monthly/yearly, making me laugh and smile and dance in all kinds of new and wonderful ways. 

This time around at the festival, Jared & The Mill were headlining so we all snagged a camp spot right next to the dock and had such a killer view of the sunsets; which certainly encouraged and sprung up all sorts of butterfly-feelings.
