And also do you prefer to use camel casing with it (capitalized letter to signify the start of the next character) or no camel casing? Or to spell them with a space (Hua Hua, Fa Fa)?
#tgcf#hua cheng#poll#my text#honestly I use fafa with camel casing or without#I hate camel casing with a passion EXCEPT for these informal xiaoming nicknames#something about it not looking good makes it cuter in a fandom context#but with the actual character names I kinda detest it lol#I do find it interesting how the more canto pronunciation is used more in the western fandom#despite it not being rendering like that at all anywhere else in translations#maybe it's bc of the prominence of southern varieties of Chinese in diaspora 🤔

i say this as someone who wears the hairstyle frequently, but i feel like something about wearing almost all your hair down but with the front of it pulled into a little high bun in the back just looks so disproportionately douchey compared to just having it all hang loose. having your hair down is timeless. simple. classy. elegant if the wind isn't blowing and wild and fierce if it is. but adding the little high bun in the back makes you look like you have opinions on craft beer
