Hiii! 🌸

So, I've been inactive on this particular blog for quite a while. Actually I've been in and out of Sky, but this time I do want to stick around a bit more! I kinda ran out of ideas for a while but this time, here's hoping I get around to working on them.

I had been more active in my blog @heliosphere-underthesky where I draw webcomics, asks, all based on space facts (I really LOVE space, that's why I named all my Sky OCs after stars in the Orion constellation). It's a completely original universe with original characters, based on our very own cosmic neighbourhood. If you're also into space, please go check it out!

I was also stuck in a different fandom for too long that I don't think I want to be my main fandom anymore due to many reasons. Primarily, I just wasn't happy in it anymore and I kinda outgrew it. I'll still make content for it sometimes, but it's like a sub fandom for me, kinda like interest in passing, from now on. It also kinda got in the way of me enjoying Sky and other things more haha, it got pretty suffocating.

Soooo yeah. Fingers crossed, I'm back for real now! As of writing this, I really want to draw Saiph with her new gal pal. Butterfly and flower duo!

And yeah, Meissa and Bellatrix are still WIP. I just can't seem to find the right cosmetics for them that will make me go "YES. That's the one. That's exactly how they feel like." and Hatysa just kinda went ahead of them LOL.

Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka!

They're the Descendants in the Isle of Dawn. Three friends that appear to be young men that are the self-proclaimed welcome committee of the isle. They all look up to Betelgeuse highly as a senior.

They are named after the three stars in the Orion Belt, and are themed after the three wise monkeys. Also, all of them are fluent in sign language!

Alnitak - "Hear no evil"

Alnitak is the most vocal of the group. He seems like a mischievous troublemaker, and he may talk bluntly, but he's actually pretty sweet. Sometimes he could be tactless but he almost always means well unless he thinks someone deserves the flak. Give him a ball of yarn and he's bound to knit you a warm sweater to cuddle in during the cold days.

Alnilam - "Speak no evil"

Alnilam seems to be the voice of reason of the group. He is hard of hearing and mute, so he mostly communicates via sign language. He can't produce honking sounds on his own, so he uses his own personal instrument to alert/detect other sky kids. He may seem intimidating at first since he appears serious, but he's kind! He's always up to lend a helping hand to those who need it.

Mintaka - "See no evil"

Mintaka is the quietest and shyest of the group. He often prefers to be on his own, but seemed to feel comfortable with his friends, Alnilam and Alnitak. He often appears aloof; unbeknownst to him, he has more than a few admirers from afar. Among the three, he's the first one to befriend Saiph because he's rather soft-spoken like a calm Rigel.

I’ll draw more later on, but since I’ve been adding more characters, here are some notes:

The main characters are still Saiph and her two dads, Rigel and Betelgeuse (she chose them). The others will be considered deuteragonists.

All prominent characters will be named after stars in the Orion constellation.

The trio (Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka) are friends, something like a found family. They look up to Beat highly and became friends with Saiph, although Rigel still sees them as delinquents.

Meissa and Bellatrix are still under development (waiting for new cosmetics). Meissa will represent the Hidden Forest and Bellatrix will represent the Golden Wasteland.

Saiph: Wow...

Rigel: Not really. But we can take photos of this place like it were our own! So where do you want to start?

Saiph: THERE! Let's go up there, Dad!

Rigel: (I regret my decision right away...)

Thus, Rigel had to put up with Saiph's high enthusiasm climbing the mountains with minimal flying.

Rigel: Wait... for me... Saiph. YOUNG LADY. WAI-HITTT! DON'T HANDSTAND ON THE CLIFF-

Saiph: Dad Rigel took me to the anniversary party again! Too bad he never has high energy, he's too used to his quiet life in the Vault. Better let him lie down for a bit. (Shh...) I'm still hyper from all the cupcakes!

Rigel: Everything the light touches... belongs to someone else.

Saiph: Funny. I thought you were going a whole different direction with this, Dad.

Rigel: If we're not careful, we could fly out there and that little maneuver could cost us 51 years.
