ORS Day Awareness Camp

Every year ORS week is celebrated in the last week of July to raise awareness among the masses regarding the life-saving importance of ORS in diarrhoea which is a leading cause of childhood mortality. In this sequence, the paediatric department of Siu-ka-Pha Hospital in association with the IAP Sivasagar Branch conducted an awareness programme along with free health check-ups for children at Labours Club Rajabari.

The role of ORS and Zinc in diarrhoea was explained and a demonstration of preparing packet ORS as well as homemade ORS was given.

This year's IAP theme for ORS week is “ORS and Zinc: Jodi number 1”
