I abandoned making character bracelets, but I still wanted a way to show my love for loa and reward myself after finishing a campaign.

Didn't really have a set theme, mostly just the colors I first pictured when I think of each character.

Frost- dark green for his robes

Gricko- light green cause he's green

Gideon- red for his skin and also bc fire

Torbek- pink for the witchlight

Kremy- purple bc of his suit

I remembered when trying to come up with a color scheme that the dimwits all have weird colored eyes. It accidentally ended up looking like the aroace flag, which has a very pretty color scheme.

I realized that all of the witch hunters use magic with their own colors. It ended up looking like a pastel color pallet. Ironic given the nature of druskenvald.

not really a headcanons but I need to say this

I feel like Jornir would say that, just like in the morning, at night whenever he can away from everyone else, when it’s just him and Taishen or sm.

(also kinda Taishen hc??) Taishen used to play all sorts of instruments at Jade-shell, any he could find, he would learn and play them for certain gathering! but ya, Jornir saying “I love you like all fire” basically saying “I love you so very much, my dear..” without saying it out loud, and NO ONE ELSE KNOWS WHAT IT MEANS AND NEVER HEARS IT. SO ITS JUST THEIR SILLY LIL THING THEY DO.

Oh, for sure. It doesn't happen a lot with the ships I ship, but when I think about Jortai, it's the quiet moments I picture. Just them sitting, quietly sharing a cup of tea. Jornir sneaking "I love you"s in the morning or when they are the last ones to go to bed is just an adorable thought to me. I feel like the first couple of times he says it in giant, eventually tells Taishen what it means, and whispers it to him when no one else is paying attention.

My guilty pleasure is listening to instrumental music and picturing that my favorite characters are the ones playing it. I find myself picturing Taishen doing it the most probably, at least recently. Most of my hcs actually originate from music (like musicals and whatnot), so it makes sense ig.

Jorshen headcanon!

Jornir would definitely carve little trinkets for Taishen after they get together. I feel like maybe one of the first things he would carve would be a tea pet. It’s used a lot in Chinese culture when drinking tea, and, (since Taishen seemed to really like Jornirs seal form ) he’d probably make a deal tea pet first.

Anyways just wanted to share this because it’s been eating at my brain.

YES! ADORABLE!!! Jornir's love language would definitely be gift giving/acts of service, as a man of few words. I can totally see him leaving little gifts, even before they got together, in inconspicuous places he knows Taishen will find them. Like a little tea pet placed in a tea cup in the shape of a seal. As thanks, I think Taishen would leave him a hot cup of tea out in the mornings for him. They are so adorable, I love them very much.

I've caught up on OUAW, EOM, Uprooted, and Icebound. I'm looking for a new (boarderline unhealthy) fixation to help me get through the start of the next quarter.

I like to hc that Morning Frost isn't actually Frost's name. Like he was trying to reinvent himself or trying to further separate from the order, bc who would name their kid Frost? (I love Frost's name, btw)

It's funny to think about a young, more naive, Frost being asked his name and being like:

"My name is... uh..."

*Looks at frosty leaves*

"Morning Frost?"

(Is morning even a first name?)

"But you may refer to me as Frost."

OUAW Name Headcanons

Grimgrin is Gricko's mother's last name. I imagine that his parents were never married and his dad dipped as soon as he learned she was pregnant. Gricko didn't recognize him when shown a picture, so he definitely left immediately. Along the same vein, Uncle Glorbo is (was???) his mother's brother. I can't really imagine the brother of an absent father being in the kid's life either, but it could be interesting. (Twist, Glorbo IS Gricko's father's brother and he just swooped in to woo Gricko's mom after his brother left LOL)

Lecroux is not Kremy's last name. Well, it is now because he changed it (this is a widely accepted hc. These hcs are not exclusive to me). He's from a poor family from a poor town and he hated it. When he left and went to Agwe, he changed his name to sound fancy, rich. He wanted people to think he was of a higher standing than he truly was. Kermy is real. Their names are similar bc lizardfolk naming conventions lol.

The only name headcanon I have for Gideon is that Nathaniel was his father's name. I read it somewhere (I can't remember which blog it was) and thought it was sweet, so I integrated it into my own hc :) Similar to Gricko's situation, Gid doesn't really know his ma (this has nothing to do with his name, I just wanted to add it). However, dissimilar from Gricko's situation, I like to imagine that his ma didn't want to leave Nathaniel, but had to because of her efreeti nature.

Now that I think about it. Coal is unironically his last name. Like, he didn't pick that and it didn't come from his mother. There was some human man walking around Yona with that last name lol. I think his pa came up with the name Gideon, as it sound much more like a human name. I don't 100% know the nature of efreeti and other genii, but I'm thinking ma probably wasn't able to stick around for long, so she didn't have much of a say. (We also don't know that much of Gid's backstory aside from the train. Of course, it's likely that he himself doesn't know) Although, it's also likely that ma wanted him to have a more human name and Nathaniel suggested Gideon.

This is actually canon, but Morning is the equivalent of a last name/ family name for Frost. There is no headcanon here, I just think it's funny to imagine people calling him Mr. Morning (he doesn't like it).

Torbek is not Torbek's name. He doesn't remember his name. It's probably something he made up. This leads into a larger theory I have for Torbek which I won't include here bc it has nothing to do with his name. He likely has a last name that he also doesn't remember.
