just a fan. if i ever make art I'd tag it . I'm currently practicing art though... surely i won't fall out of love with comics as soon as i feel proud enough of my art to publicly post...right?

one thing i absolutely adore from the first part of this run is something i wish i saw more

Damian having an actively different accent

Damian having perfect voice mimicry is cool and all, but the idea of Damian still having an accent that is 100% identifiable as being 0% gotham when being comfortable and acting casually is so good.

he's arab chinese and taught in multiple languages since he was a baby so I'd imagine he'd have a mix of stuff

seeing people confused on my last post about Damian's new pet, so I'll just give a little development.

Meet Damian's new macaque! she was a test subject used by the villain of the current arc to test a poison.

Damian took her from a cage, noticing her symptoms and kept her close because he was going to be closest to an actual cure that is being developed.

she becomes very close, usually hanging around damian. he soon named her Lucy after keeping him

Anyways, here's a lil compilation of damian and lucy from the latest issue

little note, damian adopts a monkey the same time dick gets his new lil sidekick. weird timing, right?

Damian can mimic bruces voice and signature comedy cartoon writers wish they could have his situational comedy ability

sometimes i see posts about batmans cowl being labelled as a "headcanon" or "fanon" or something along those lines and it just makes me sad how little ppl read requiem

and in addition, here's alfred joining in watching one of Damian's missions

i miss when damian was a little tech geek...like he doesn't make essential parts for building flying cars anymore

or fix long thought broken justice league teleporter tech just cause he was bored and wanted him and his dog to visit his dad in his little moon base

Thought about Damian's vocal mimicry again, enough to mimic tim and bruce perfectly at ten...like hmm...where have i seen this before...

a young (looking) detective with an ability to mimic the voices of others...uses it to sound like adults so he could get what he wants...has a weird story to a bunch of people dressed in mostly black...HEY WAIT I KNOW THAT MOTHERFUCKER

Like yeah, of course this ten year old can mimic voices of teenagers and fully grown adults enough to trick THE FUCKING BATMANS SECURITY SYSTEM IN HIS MOST SECURE BASE. of course he can do that

also of course he can survive being stabbed in a vital organ. yeah. he can just...move it aside from the knife that he was stabbed with and heal fully while he sleeps. just move HIS LIVER out the way. I'm sure tim would appreciate that skill for his spleen but whatever.

w/ "redraw" comparison-- i actually remember sitting down to draw the 2016 one... it was a "thank you tribute" to Pat Gleason towards the end of the R:SoB run and the guy was nice enough to acknowledge my cringe teenage art LMAOOOOOOO
