Empress Theodora was one of the first women in history to advocate for women's rights.

Summary of her life:

She is a really interesting woman so I would recommend that you do your own research about her in your spare time. I'll link the articles I got this information from at the end.

Her father was a bearkeeper.

When she was young she worked as an actress and prostitute.

Later in her life, when she was still young , she converted to Monophysitism.

Justinian I was captivated by her beauty and intelligence.

He changed the law just to marry her.

She helped make some of the laws and policies due to her intelligence.

She closed brothels and stopped forced prostitution. She also gave women more rights when it came to divorce.

During the Nika Revolt Justinian I wanted to flee but Theodora convinced him to stay and fight which worked.

She's considered a feminist but feminism didn't really exist during her time period.

💛Theodora shows that no matter your gender, class or past you can still accomplish your dreams and be important. Her story also tells us that we should all have goals in life and that intelligence and knowledge is something important and will get you far in life.

Dear God,

I'm so happy with how 2025 is turning out so far. I've met a lot of new people at school and they're really nice. I've also made a lot of friends. I think I've met my soul tribe. They have the same interest as me and they also have the same beliefs as me but obviously they're human and we'll disagree on stuff sometimes. I'm surprised that I was able to find people that are interested in witchcraft in a school and country like this. It's really cool it's like we're in a coven. We all keep this to ourselves and nobody knows our secret. We also love spoiling each other. I can tell this is the type of friendship where we'll always stick together. They make me feel special and loved. And to make it even better we're all in the same class. We're a group of 4 so no one feels left out. Speaking of friendship I'm also happy that I never ran into my ex friends because I wouldn't have the energy to pretend I'm happy to see them. I'm glad I moved on from them. I like my teachers and I'm really grateful that _ doesn't teach me English or any subject. I'm able to understand the school work easily. I'm coping really well. I'm really enjoying this year so far. I also like my classmates they seem cool and mature. Oh and I could tell people were shocked when they saw me especially my old friends their jaws were on the floor. I had a HUGE glow up. I literally look so gorgeous. I've had model scouts come up to me. I lost weight and got healthier and also my eyes stay white throughout the day now. I just generally look so much happier and I feel like it too. And I'm also really productive now. My parents had enough money to repair the things in my home. My dad's earning more money now and my family's physical and mental health has really improved. I've gotten really smart. I can tell I'm meant to be successful. I'm a lot more confident and my anxiety isn't as bad anymore. I'm really grateful for everything that's happened.

Rant about why nobody should rely solely on their physical appearance :

What do I mean by that?

🌸 Your looks won't get you that far in life. Your personality, intelligence and talent matter more.

What I think is the cause for more people to rely solely on their looks:

I know that in today's society our physical appearance really does matter a lot and it's mainly because of social media. When we open apps like TikTok we only see beautiful women and girls to the point we forget that being pretty is rare. We also see women encouraging plastic surgery and treating it like something light. I'm not against women that get plastic surgery and encourage it because we all are victims to the beauty standards. I'm against getting plastic surgery when you don't do proper research and reflect deeply on whether it's something you truly desire and when it's mostly just pressure to fit into the beauty standards. The content we consume starts to make us believe that looks matter more than they actually do. In a few years the beauty standards will change. Just like everything in life. Nothing is permanent especially beauty standards but what should be permanent is you having love for yourself.

The content online can be very dangerous because it can teach young girls (like me, thankfully I realized this) and boys that their only goal in life should be to look exceptionally beautiful.

Let me get to the point now:

If your looks, intelligence and personality were ranked in terms of how much they matter this is what it would look like:

To me the most important things are intelligence,depth and deep connections with people, yourself and your life.

Now let me actually get to the point:

Don't rely on your looks alone. It's ok if you're "ugly". Just accept it and move on. Your 3appearance should be the least interesting thing about you and if it's the most interesting thing about you then something's wrong. The majority of people look average. Your looks might draw people and opportunities but your confidence, personality and whether you actually have a good character and whether you're interesting or not and your talent is what can keep them. If you look beautiful it's true that people will be nicer to you but if you're beautiful and lack depth people will think of you as a doll and not in a good way. What makes people really think of you as truly beautiful is how you make them feel. Make people feel heard and loved including yourself. Also don't let your obsession with looks idolize people that are truly horrible people just because they're pretty.
