So I was thinking. The kids selected to become dolls are picked roughly around ages 10-14 based off of appearances, which puts them right at the beginning of puberty. So I’m just wondering. If a female doll starts her period what happens. Cuz it’s definitely a thing that happens. So how do they deal with that. Are they told about it? How do they explain it when they’re dolls? Just. What do they do??

I had a sudden thought: since the adults have the faces of the humans, is it possible that someone from the village might recognise them? What would they think, seeing a child who was once sent to the castle now as a Shadow noble? Do shadows avoid the places their faces are from when visiting?
