I'm thrilled to share the preview of my piece for For you, my heart, a sapphic Fire Emblem zine spanning the whole series! It was an honor to be a part of a project with so many amazing contributors. My piece, "The Most Beloved Queen," is a celebration of Timerra and the many women who adore her. I'm so glad to showcase all the affection in her life and heart. 💖

Timerra stands at the Somniel’s lookout point, letting the wind toss her hair while the sun rises. Like riding out under the stars, the empty sky quiets her mind. Even she needs to get away from crowds and their expectations, to remember this was all here the last time the Emblems were summoned and will be here next time, if she has anything to say about it.

Still, she’s glad when Alear joins her. It’s rare to see their not-quite-fearless leader awake with the dawn, and Timerra catches her yawning while they chat. Suddenly alert, Alear turns toward Timerra.

“I’ve been meaning to ask for your advice on something,” Alear says.

The Divine Dragon, consulting her? “Lay it on me.”

“How should I—that is, if you were trying to impress a woman, how would you go about it?”
